They brought the perfect size truck, and loaded up our 3 bedroom home and moved it 20 minutes away, in 6 hours, exactly as quoted. A *literal* load off! I live alone and a major roadblock to any major decorating and furniture upgrades is getting stuff in and out with no other "muscle" and a two-door car. Over the years I'd accumulated a ton of stuff that I didn't love but getting rid of it just seemed like such a hassle that I kept it around and suffered. Ben and his crew are fabulous. I recommend them without hesitation. They are extremely courteous, friendly, affordable and careful with your home and furniture. They had quite a challenge moving some very large pieces of furniture up from my basement through narrow and angled stairs. They took the time to take things apart, wrap items in blankets and they navigated the stairs without a scratch to my walls. I wish I would have had the same experience as others who gave this company 5 stars, but I have to be honest. My move was scheduled and confirmed several times via email and text for 8 am on a Saturday morning, and at 8:30, no one had shown up, so I started calling, texting, Facebook messaging, and emailing, and go no response for about half an hour. At that point, Ben finally called me and said he thought we were scheduled for 1 pm, which was not in any of our messages. He said they would come as soon as possible, so they showed up at about 10:30 am. They then proceeded to "stage" items instead of just loading them into the truck, and were honestly slower than any movers I've ever hired. It took them 3 hours to load what amounted to about half a truckload. Then, when they finally arrived at the new location, I had to tell them to only take the big furniture pieces upstairs and put everything else in the garage for the sake of time. I even got into the truck and helped unload because it was taking so long. He originally quoted me 2-3 hours, and $150-$210, then tried to tell me it was $471 because of how long it took them! I'm sorry, but I do not know how you can do business like that. I would not recommend them. read more

I needed a mover to move furniture from house to garage, and back a week later. I have a piano! This had been a huge problem; either movers refused to move a piano or charged triple their rate . Then I found The Haulers. Ben called within the hour, made an appointment for the next day to make an estimate for this move. He looked at the piano, gave me an estimate for the job, which included this piano---his bid was significantly better than the next lowest bid, and he did not charge extra for the piano. Amazing! Ben and his crew were a pleasure to deal with. They arrived on time, were polite and efficient and were careful on the return trip to not mar the new floors. We used Hauler on 2/23/19. We were given their name by our building. We were only moving 2 floors up in the building and reserved the freight elevator during the only time it was available. I booked with Ben 2-3 weeks ahead of time but I had to change the time based on the elevator availability and Ben was very accommodating. He kept me updated with the names of the 2 guys coming that day and 1 guy showed up on time. The other was well over an hour late after many calls, texts, etc by me and the other moving guy. We only had the movers and the elevator for 2 hours so it was beyond frustrating. The one guy was very nice but I had to urge him into starting the move before the other guy showed up. My husband had to do a good chunk of the move even though we hired these movers so he would not have to. Most of the work we hired them for was done before the other guy showed up. I did not fight over the bill, I just paid it even though I paid for work we never received. I even heard the one guy on the phone saying to Ben that they should do something about what we were paying since the other guy was not there for most of the move. That guy told me Ben was supposed to contact me but it's been more than 6 weeks and we have never heard another word. If you get someone to show up, I think they will do a decent job but clearly showing up is the harder part of the job. read more

They communicated earlier that they were approximately 20 minutes out which helped me plan for their arrival. These gentlemen were courteous, efficient and knew what they were doing. Given my previous experience of damage to my hardwood floors from another company, these guys were flawless and did a fabulous job protecting my home as they removed this refrigerator.
