Hauk Custom Pools did a remarkable job turning our vision for our backyard into reality. When we first started thinking about a pool for our backyard, we were uncertain of all the features we might want or what was available. We began the process by getting bids from 3 pool companies. While they were all quite impressive and we learned a lot in the process, we finally decided to go with HCP because we liked Peter Jackson's design the best. It was exactly what we were looking for. He sat down with us on multiple occasions, and kept working with us to capture what we wanted. It was no easy task, since we actually had 4 projects rolled into one: the pool/spa including a low retaining wall; an arbor on one end of the pool to provide shade and a gathering place; an outdoor kitchen with gas grill and refrigerator; extending our fence and installing an electronic gate. Hauk and their team of contractors made it all come together!
We want to thank the entire Hauk team of professionals for their hard work and contributions in making our project(s) turn out so well. Seth Hamilton was our project manager. He answered our questions throughout the process and whenever there was an issue, he worked hard to resolve them. With four projects, as you can imagine, timing and sequencing of the various contractors to accomplish the work was key. When we had one particularly thorny issue with one of the skimmers, Sammy Trevino, our construction superintendent, got involved, came out personally to inspect the problem. He ensured the issue was taken care of right away so it would not hinder/delay the final stage of construction and starting up our pool. Sammy was a pleasure to work with and we really liked the way he kept us informed. We selected a water feature with boulders and dry stack stone around the pool/spa, and the outdoor kitchen. The stone masons, Duvi and his guys, are true craftsman in the way they uniquely chisel and set the stones. We are really enjoying the it way looks and the ambience. We also want to thank Paul Fitzgerald and his crew for the wonderful arbor and the fence work they did. Paul is very responsive to his customers and did a great job for us. As he likes to say, "we make friends, not just fences!" Clayton Vaught, Sales Manager, and Jimmy, superintendent with Dallas Landscape Lighting, did all our electrical work. They were very helpful and walked us through multiple options to add outdoor celling fans to the arbor/patio, and additional outlets for our outdoor TV, and future landscape lighting needs. Their service technician, I believe his name is Pancho, did an amazing job. Special thanks to Jeremy Lowe, General Manager, Texas Tree and Landscapes, he made sure the reroute of the sprinklers/drip lines and the sod installation to repair the yard from all the construction was completed in time before the holiday so we could entertain family. And hats off to Rudy Lopez, Sales, Texas Tree and Landscapes, he came up with a really nice plan for the additional landscaping we wanted for the backyard and around the pool...beautiful! Finally, many thanks to the service technicians, particularly Dillon and Lance, for getting our pool equipment setup and running; and to Jason Phillips, Serene Pools, for servicing/maintaining our pool and making the minor adjustments to meet our needs/requests.
Our family, friends, and neighbors have all been impressed with the stunning transformation. What was once a very ordinary and plain backyard is now a wonderful place to relax and entertain right out our back door!
Thanks again to Hauk Custom Pools and their entire team of contractors for making our vision become a reality...well done!
Sincerely,
