Hauk pools and Fall in Texas.
    Eric P.

We had a rough go through the building process... subs, COVID and new pool build demand on Hauk. Yes, I hired the Hauk family based on a neighbor experience and inadvertently gained 3 more builds on my street as a result of our build - What strikes me mostly by Hauk is it is a family tradition in pool builds stretching Back two generations. Recently I had an issue with our elevated jacuzzi leaking from an exterior wall. After some back and forth with the service team I was able to speak to Robby Hauk himself. Robby was an absolute professional and what one would expect when you have an issue just outside of the contract 6mos. (1year contract). When he stated he cared and gave a damn about my pool issue I believed him and I am in hopes we can resolve sooner than later... the point is it is easy to accuse and demand without knowing all the implications - Robby based on our conversation today I am reinvigorated in believing that the Hauk family will stand behind their product and do the right thing. A telephone call goes a long way with some people followed by true action!

Hauk Custom Pools does great work at a competitive price! We had Tim Ryan as our sales guy and he did an excellent job at customizing the design to fit our needs as a growing family, as well as being able to maximize the design features within our backyard space. He was able to incorporate existing covered patio structure seamlessly into the pool/spa/kitchen/fire pit combo and we couldn't be happier. Tim was very responsive during the sales process and always made my wife and I comfortable during the entire process -- highly recommend Tim! During the construction phase, Sammy Trevino was our project manager -- he treated our home like it was his own, and was willing to go above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were met. While there were a few hiccups during pool equipment installation, gas line extensions into the fire pit and outdoor grill, etc., Sammy was always willing to hear our concerns and make it right. While we are extremely pleased with the finished product, I would highly encourage others to stay on top of their subcontractors and tie off regularly with your project manager. Ultimately, Hauk delivered above and beyond what was covered in the contract and was willing to make sure that we (along with our adjacent neighbors) were totally satisfied with the workmanship - from start to finish. Highly recommend Sammy Trevino as a project manager. We bid out Hauk against two other pool companies in the area, and we are so happy we chose them -- not only for the design they delivered which has transformed our backyard living space, but also for the high quality of material and overall workmanship!

Stay far away. We've had plaster issues for years (since install) and nothing but excuses from Robby Hauk. He blames his vendors for all problems. His go to answer is that he no longer uses them, and we need to contact them for help. We paid Hauk, not his vendors.

    Brown and grey paver

STAY AWAY FROM Hauk Custom pools. First off I'm not one to post negative reviews unless something is horrible. Hauk built our pool in spring/summer 2018. We had a few pavers than needed placed as they were chipped, no big deal. Then the diving board almost fell into the pool as they did not create a deep enough and solid enough pad for it to sit on, this was fixed. Then during 2018 we began to see settlement of pavers on one side where there was a deep trench dug. I asked for this to be re-leveled and was told to wait 6 months so that it would settle out. So in January of 2019 I began the long process of communicating with Hauk to relevel pavers. In January of 2020, they releveled a small area and areas where they broke pavers during the releveling they replaced the grey pavers with brown ones. Robbie came our reviewed the situation and said they would fix things. Now today after two more paver companies coming out to look I am told they won't fix or change anything. So good luck on any warranty work from Hauk.

Built a beautiful pool during the most trying of circumstances. Snowmegaddon, contractor and weather challenges were all overcome. Special cudos to Ryker who took over the project in the middle and communicated throughout the process.

Unfortunately, that was not our experience. We did the "Green-to-Clean ($800)". It took SIX weeks. We had to repeatedly follow up because they would go ~2 weeks without showing up or communicating. When we asked, we were told there was an emergency situation, we tried to be understanding, but there was no proactive communication on their end. We decided weekly service ($250/month). After the initial clean, we signed up for weekly maintenance. Within 24-48 hours of each visit, chlorine levels would drop back to 0 ppm. GP&A's explanation was that our pool system was outdated and needed to be replaced. However, we had two separate pool inspections done when we purchased the home, plus 3-4 other pool companies assess the equipment, none of them flagged the system (installed in 2017) as a problem requiring replacement. Upsell attempts: GP&A quoted us a full system replacement (under $6,000) and then a filter replacement (~$2,200) before they said they could continue service. We decided to move on to another provider. End of service: We asked if they could continue maintaining the pool through the end of the month. Their last visit was six days before the final day of the month (image attached). The pool was visibly green and in poor condition by end of month (again they serviced it 6 days ago and it is this green; not adding enough chlorine). When we brought this up, they responded that the condition was "consistent with the unresolved filtration issue for which repairs were recommended", essentially placing responsibility on us for not purchasing their repair package. We were looking for a long-term, trustworthy pool service company. What we experienced was poor communication, inconsistent results, and recommendations that no other company has supported. I cannot recommend GP&A based on our experience.

It is now July 2026 -- eight months later -- and it is still not fixed. I have called and emailed repeatedly. Every time, I'm told someone will come out to repair it. No one ever does. The damage is covered under warranty. I've asked them directly to either fix the stain or refund the plaster cost. They will not respond to either request. Here's the pattern: Prestige Pool collects full payment before the plaster work is even finished. Once they have your money, there is no urgency and no accountability. I have spent eight months chasing a company that has already been paid in full for a job it did not finish correctly. I am a homeowner who paid in full, in good faith, and got a broken promise in return. If you are considering this company, protect yourself: do not release full payment until the pool is filled with water and confirmed in complete working condition. Get every warranty commitment in writing. I did not do this carefully enough, and I am paying for it eight months later with a stained wall and a company that will not fix the stain they incurred on my pool. Homeowners work hard for this money. Prestige Pool took mine and then stopped listening the moment the check cleared.

The previous owners of our home did not care for the pool, so after many years of trying to find the right person for the job, we thought Ryan would be our savior; boy, were we wrong. Things started off great! My husband found him on YELP with a high 4-star rating back in December 2024. Ryan was eager and appeared excited to bring our pool back to life. Ryan and Team started working on our pool February 2025. I mean, this guy is over communicating at this point. Keeping us updated on when they were coming out to the house and what materials were being purchased & so forth. We were indeed pleased. Our first biggest mistake, we paid him in full in April 2025. Ryan immediately stopped accepting our calls and stopped replying to text messages. We were out of $12,000! Thank the Lord we paid with a CC, so we took it up with our bank, but it wasn't easy. In June 2025, we were told by our bank that Ryan submitted pictures of a completed pool---claiming it was OUR pool. As a result, the ruling was ruled in Ryan's favor, not ours. We were in complete shock; utter devastation. FULL TRANSPARANCY POST NEXT: The stress was unimaginable. I stopped eating, my hair began to fall out, and I was so filled with anxiety, I could barely work. Texas Native Aquatics put such a severe strain on our lives, but my hurt turned into anger, AND WE FOUGHT BACK. We were not going to accept this! We took even more photos and gathered even more text messages to prove our case. It took hours upon hours to put the evidence together, but the hard work paid off. The claim was reopened and TODAY, the bank ruled in our favor. Today is September 16, 2025, and our pool is still unusable. It's been drained for 7 months---which can lead to more serious issues. We've declined hosting family events, friend get-togethers and birthday parties for our nephews all due to our pool condition and the pain/suffering Ryan Williams has caused. Feel free to visit his google and yelp page---as you can see, we are not the first to write about being taken advantage of. And as of recently, his ratings have declined. I am truly fearful for this guy because if he continues this type of practice, then he might end up working for the wrong client and he will be out a lot more than he is now. Lucky for him, he got a nice couple I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND RYAN WILLIAMS AND TEXAS NATIVE ACQUATICS.

This is my saga in dealing with the most impossible contractor I've ever worked with…read more This started around 7/17-18/2025. It all started well. Ryan came by to give me an estimate on a pool demolition. (He refused to address fixing the pool). He made me a great deal, and offered me a discount on some of the new equipment that the pool never got installed (about 20% of retail, better than nothing). He also told me he'd get it done in a week, if he could start right away, and I'd need to pay him half now to start. I should have heeded the bad reviews here. They are spot on. He showed up the next day and the day after that. and then didn't hear back until sometime on the following Sunday. I text him about the haphazard schedule and this was supposed to take a week what is going on? I'll be there later. He shows up with his wife and kid and they do some puttering around the yard, some work is done. The asks were spread out over the weeks but between week 2 and 5 these were some of the excuses. He needs more money. Another $1000 to order dirt. His dirt guy "let him down". We were out there, ha you didn't even know we were there (paraphrasing). We can tell nothing has changed except once when someone came by to take some equipment. I was never notified when they were going to be on site. Dirt finally shows up. They dump it in the middle of my driveway blocking everything (I have a 2x3 car driveway, there was room). It should have been put in a container as now our front lawn is covered in bits concrete that are in the dirt. We told them to move it as it is blocking my car. I had to shovel it out of the way myself so I could get to a doctor's appt a few days later. When the rest of the dirt was delivered as he called me to tell me it was coming today. (called me for the first time to inform me of something). When I came back, they had take the fence and gate off the front of my house. My wife explicitly told him that the gate must be closed when they leave everyday. He told her he had a skidsteer that can fit (It's a pretty big gate. Then he took it down anyway. It is still not back up. August 7th: They fill in the hole finally. It looks too high, I take a picture and send it to him. He replies "I'm coming by" He's told by my wife that there can't be a step here. We ask repeatedly that it seems too high, we don't want anything higher than this slab that they didn't demolish. Please bring it down, there can't be a step, my dog had back surgery in January and he can't go up and down steps. It is non-negotiable. I even recall telling him no steps or nothing more than the current drop from the house to the existing patio deck. It should also be graded. Instead, they drilled into the house to make it flush with the house. We told him several times Today August 23: He warns me for the first time in a while that concrete will be there. And they were and on time. They started to fill the form, and I noticed the went right to the top of the form where we told them we did NOT want to, creating about an 8inch step to the slab they did not demolish. I text him, "it's too high" there can't be a step. I told him to come and fix it after they just poured it. Eventually he gets here and he's already lying about what my wife told him versus what I told him. Then he accused me and my wife of not being together (don't know why that was top of mind for him). He then calls me at some point, I was away from my phone. He accused me of ignoring his communications in the voicemail. I was confused, I thought he was here. Nope, he left. Then he texted me this crazy plan to try to fix it that just didn't fix it (We'll bring that other pad up the 8inches and then use dirt to fill in the gaps...) and that he had already left instead of talking to me about it directly. He was trying to sell me on regrading my whole backyard on regrade and level. He hasn't even finished the first job competently or on-time. I've told him to tear it out. It is what I would have told him to his face if he didn't run. He said, you have to wait for it to cure. Which is hogwash, he was trying to convince me that "I'll learn to like it". Let the guys finish. All the while they're outside dying and pebbling this concrete. I had to go out there and tell them to stop and get it out. They didn't, they just hung around and it was the first time they heard that I didn't want this. Good thing my Spanish is sufficient. I'm going to give him until Monday to tear it all out and repair the damage he did to my home. Also refund me the cost of the concrete he didn't end up using. TL:DR: Do not hire this company. Do not hire Ryan Williams. You're better off doing it yourself than paying this guy to not do it. 1 week time estimate turned into 6 weeks of it not being finished and done to his own standards. He made changes, I would complain he'd blame my wife. No thank you.
