While it wasn't exactly the result we had originally hoped for, that's due to the poor workmanship of the initial contractor--not Juan's work. Juan removed the failed material, cleaned the joints properly, installed new backer rod where needed, and applied the sealant with great attention to detail. He was honest about what could realistically be accomplished without replacing the concrete. He had a quick turnaround, completed the job promptly, and left everything looking much cleaner and more professional than before. I appreciate his honesty, communication, and quality workmanship, and I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing concrete joint repair or sealing.

Within 30 minutes, I received about 10 responses, but DFW Concrete Services immediately stood out from the rest. Their initial estimate was very close to the final agreed-upon price, which I appreciated because there were no surprises along the way. Juan, the owner, was easy to communicate with, arrived on-site earlier than scheduled, and completed the work on time. What impressed me most was the follow-up. Many contractors finish the job and move on, but Juan took the time to check in afterward to make sure I was completely satisfied with the work. The entire experience was professional, straightforward, and stress-free. I would definitely recommend DFW Concrete Services to anyone looking for quality concrete work

They make it simple and automated, so I literally don't even think about it anymore. But I knew their specialty was patios and landscaping, so we reached out when we were ready to do more with our backyard. They've been super booked this summer, but were able to fit us in. The concrete patio they installed looks incredible. We love the space it created for our kids to play and for us to enjoy. It's so nice to have a space outdoors where we can entertain and be proud of how it looks. During the patio process, they let us bring our own drawings and ideas to the table, and guided us according to the best practices they know so well. They went over and above, allowing us to add some additional space and came back to add sod in some places where the yard grade had changed and drainage needed to be adjusted. Both at no extra cost. Cole and his team know their stuff, they're honest, fair, upfront and who I'll call for any landscaping needs.

They used to be into cars- I gave them my car to fix and I never heard from them again. It was a BMW. I went to high school with these guys and Cole Travis/Greg Epps were still in high school in 2001. Brandon Sarvadi already graduated. I believe they parted my car out for profit and I never saw that car again. What a shame. I hope they have changed their ways or have grown some sort of conscience. I wouldn't ever trust them again. With anything!

After researching him further than we had originally, we found he plays the game of give him your money, doesn't finish job and then vanishes in to thin air. He's been brought to court for this changes the company name and starts again. He even moved around the country, to Illinois and guess who strikes again with complaints and a company name that is now closed-wash-rinse-repeat. We're all for the little guy and we wanted to give our community small biz owner the business. I don't want to ruin anyone's life but he does not care what he does to people. Posting to warn everyone who reads this-STAY AWAY FROM THIS MAN AND ANYTHING HE DOES FOR WORK. He is a liar, a robber and if you ever read this Brenden... you should be ashamed of yourself. What a terrible model for your children;. YOU TRULY SUCK is the nicest way I can put it here. It's been disastrous. Wood on patio cover back wall all falling off, concrete coating cracks all over and he never, ever returned our call after the last day he was here and the work was not done.

We started a project with Brendan Kurtz who is the owner of the local company Celina Concrete (now known as Chicago Decorative Flatwork) in Sept 2021. We agreed upon concrete patio extension with overlay as well as side yard work. It is now February 2022 and we are still left with a mess and out thousands of dollars. Brendan and his crew failed to get the overlay and new concrete to match multiple times over the course of 3 months. We were patient and understanding as he continued to move on to other projects and would stop by when he had a lull in schedule - all while asking for final payment multiple times. (Mind you, by this point we had already made 3 payments to him). By December, he even sang a sad song about how he would have to close his business after he completed our project and another. Brendan hired an outside company to come sandblast our patio in order to start fresh again with the staining and sealing. This is the last we have heard or seen of him. We are now left with an unfinished patio with ruined overlay, ruined sod that he claimed he would replace, and stuck trying to find another company that can fix his mess. Instead of "closing his business", Brendan has now changed his company's name to Chicago Decorative Flatwork and continues to post new projects. He has also failed to respond to our report with the Better Business Bureau. We have given him plenty of time to do right by us, but alas - he is choosing to look the other way. I hope this post helps someone steer clear of a company who has caused us so many issues.

It's taken more than 2 months to get everything done, and it still isn't working right. The control box in front was not properly installed, so now I have a heavy leak, and was told I would have to pay extra for them to fix it. Ha! You think I'd ever call them again? After 30 years as a real estate broker, and dealing with all kinds of landscapers, Pristine wins the award for the worst.

Update 9/14/24: I reported this company to BBB and then the owner Josh started contacting me again…read more THIS WEEK 9/10 He finally brought out more sod. However, he did NOT bring enough to replace all the dead original sod he installed. Also, he did NOT fix the poor ground prep in a large are by my fence gate that his crew did NOT prep originally and left the flag stones and decomposed granite in ground. His crew on 9/10 laid new sod over this area & over flagstones again. He was contracted to clean this area up and prep for new sod removing decomposed granite & flagstones & Josh did NOT both times! So this new sod will die unless me the customer digs it all out and relays the sod. His crew cut more off my front trees that did NOT need it. There were contracted to cut the back trees. None of the crew in 9/10 spoke English at all & did not understand me. Josh did NOT show up as usual to suppervise or send any crew leaders to make sure the work was done correctly. JOSH HAS NO CONCERN TO DO A JOB CORRECTLY OR AS CONTRACTED So tree cutting in backyard was still NOT done per contract Texas Sage bush was still NOT dug up and moved per contract Front gutters are still crooked. Not fixed at all. JOSH REFUSES TO FIX IT Josh refused to make the wobbly fence stable by adding more post and refused to add a 3rd gate hinge. He did fix 1 of the boards on the lattice at the top but we had to fix the other 2 that were coming off. JOSH REFUSES TO FIX THE FENCE TO MAKE IT STABLE OR WORTH $18k he charged for it The fence subcontractor told me Josh was to pay him $5k for the fence build NOT $18k (not sure if Josh paid him or not) that is why the fence guy refused to fix anything on my game, he told me you got $5k fence and that's all he is doing. JOSH IS DISHONEST AND DOES CRAPY WORK. HE DEMANDS PAYMENT UP FRONT TO SCHEDULE, then more UPFRONT BEFORE HE STARTS WORK & PAYMENT EVERY WEEK BEFORE WORK IS COMPLETED. He will hold off on the last few thousand knowing he has already scammed you out of your money & not done quality work. He will keep saying he is showing up to fix work not done correctly, he will say materials are delayed, his crew manager Chris will tell you he is in the hospital when he is not just to delay you and push you off. Then they will block you. So do NOT do business with this company. Look him up because he has 3 different companies and all run this way If you have a contract with his company make sure you don't pay up front like he demands. He does not pay for any supplies up front. He makes his subcontractors pay for all their supplies and doesn't pay them until afterwards. If he even pays them at all. 2 subcontractors were not paid on my Reno and came to my door asking for payment since Josh & Chris refused to pay them and blocked their calls also. With my help pushing back on this company and reporting them to BBB these 2 hard working subcontractors reported to me this week they were finally paid on 9/10 the same day Josh came out with sod & same day Josh reported to BBB all subcontractors were paid in full. These 2 subcontractors jobs were done 30 days ago SO THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN PAID THEN! Josh has also NOT shown up to do a final walk through inspecting the work with me the customer as port. He is just demanding I pay final bill (which has not been sent) plus daily late fees. This guy is a jock and a SCAMMER . He won't show his face or take your calls. He only shows up for payments https://pristinelandscapingandlighting.com/

Unfortunately, that was not our experience. We did the "Green-to-Clean ($800)". It took SIX weeks. We had to repeatedly follow up because they would go ~2 weeks without showing up or communicating. When we asked, we were told there was an emergency situation, we tried to be understanding, but there was no proactive communication on their end. We decided weekly service ($250/month). After the initial clean, we signed up for weekly maintenance. Within 24-48 hours of each visit, chlorine levels would drop back to 0 ppm. GP&A's explanation was that our pool system was outdated and needed to be replaced. However, we had two separate pool inspections done when we purchased the home, plus 3-4 other pool companies assess the equipment, none of them flagged the system (installed in 2017) as a problem requiring replacement. Upsell attempts: GP&A quoted us a full system replacement (under $6,000) and then a filter replacement (~$2,200) before they said they could continue service. We decided to move on to another provider. End of service: We asked if they could continue maintaining the pool through the end of the month. Their last visit was six days before the final day of the month (image attached). The pool was visibly green and in poor condition by end of month (again they serviced it 6 days ago and it is this green; not adding enough chlorine). When we brought this up, they responded that the condition was "consistent with the unresolved filtration issue for which repairs were recommended", essentially placing responsibility on us for not purchasing their repair package. We were looking for a long-term, trustworthy pool service company. What we experienced was poor communication, inconsistent results, and recommendations that no other company has supported. I cannot recommend GP&A based on our experience.
