Everyone involved was committed to making us 100% happy with the end product, whether that meant changing out chipped travertine tiles, recommending different design options, or making several trips to the worksite to plan out project details and ensure everything was 100% up to par. Precision Outdoors wowed us with their exceptional craftsmanship, steadfast management, and…read moreproactive and open communications throughout our project. It was no easy feat, given our project was so challenging. In fact, a prior vendor could not even deliver our project after 1.5 years. We lost all faith that our project would ever get done, until Josh at Precision Outdoors came along. We had very particular needs: * A handicap accessible deck, built up to the very specific height of our back door to make it easy to get in and out of our house. * The deck had to be structured to surround an "endless pool"-type swim spa that we could use for physical therapy. * Safety railings were key too -- with specific heights, lengths, and materials -- all of which were customized to ensure functionality and accessibility. * And, we needed a ramp that was easy to navigate up and down between levels for a person with mobility challenges. * If that wasn't enough, we also wanted a modern style (which is very unlike what typical Texas contractors even know or understand how to do), and we wanted to use a very particular full-PVC decking material that is not often used by contractors either. * How could we ask for anything more? -- well, we did. To top it off, our yard is tiny, boxed in by a retaining wall that leaves little usable space to work with. This meant we'd need a cantilevered deck to make the most use of our limited backyard space. As you might've inferred with this set of requirements, Josh and Precision Outdoors is not the kind of company that shies away from a challenge. Why? -- because they are just plain highly capable. Josh and his team took on the challenge, and they checked all the boxes. Their decking structure included concrete piers at multiple different levels of our yard, given the challenging retaining wall structures already on our property. They gained approval with the city at every step of the process, making adjustments where needed to ensure safety and a well-implemented structure. When it came to installing our Azek full PVC deck boards, they took the time to have an expert from the manufacturer on-site to guide the very unique installation process. When some aspects didn't initially hit the modern look and qualities we were going for, they took the time to work with us until we were fully satisfied. Given the care, attention to detail, and materials used, we now have an accessible and low-maintenance deck that we believe will last for many years to come. To say the least, they did an impressive job. We highly recommend Precision Outdoors.

Another fantastic project with the Wreedone team…read more This time, we hired them to replace the flooring throughout the majority of our house, tearing out older tile and hardwood that had suffered from previous water-cupping damage. I had manually measured close to 1,700 square feet, but Wil and Spencer utilized a mobile tech scanning tool to map both the floors and walls (for a future paint project) in a matter of minutes. It immediately validated my manual measurements and gave us complete confidence in the project's scope. We chose to vacate the house during the heavy demo and installation. Scheduling-wise, Wreedone was exceptionally punctual, hitting every milestone exactly when they said they would. They carefully moved and secured our heavy furniture, treated our property with immense respect, and ensured everything was locked up tight at the end of each workday. I had the chance to meet the tile installer, Daniel, and his crew. Daniel is a true craftsman--he noticed minor pattern differences in the tiles and expertly blended them so the installation looks perfectly seamless throughout the house. A true professional! Spencer also brought some great problem-solving to the baseboards. Because the new floors sat a bit lower, reusing the old baseboards would have left a noticeable paint gap along the walls. Factoring in the labor to patch and paint that gap, it was actually more cost-effective to install brand-new baseboards, which ended up looking even better than the originals. Given the massive amount of demolition dust, the top-to-bottom post-construction cleaning was incredible. Walls, floors, countertops, ceiling fan blades--everything was spotless! I am also incredibly grateful to Justin and Chase for the daily updates and progress photos, as well as their care in quickly moving the large furniture back into place post-cleanup. Wreedone's methodology isn't just about executing a single task; they deliver a complete, holistic package. They managed every aspect of this project to deliver a high-quality result that gave my wife and me exactly what we wanted while protecting our overall investment. Well done!

We recently finished a two year journey that took us through discussions with no less than six…read morecontractors on a project to extend our gabled roof from our house over a portion of our patio so we could get more use out of the area. We finally decided to pull the trigger and proceed with the process right at the same time as Covid hit and at the onset of higher wood prices as well. Contractors for home improvement projects like what we wanted to do were in high demand. Ours was a small but complex project (due to several different roof lines) and we found out the pool of contractors was small. Some were upfront with us and said it was more complex than they could handle. A few of the very well known contractors around Frisco acted like they were up to the task of the project but when all said and done they didn't have the knowledge to actually build the specific design that we wanted. We went the extra step to get a structural engineer to prepare a report but unfortunately he turned out to be totally worthless and inept, his design was horrible, and he was a waste of money. He ended up being more of just a "concrete slab guy" rather than a structural engineer. We mistakenly thought we would be better prepared if we had a structural report ready for whatever contractor we picked, but we finally found a contractor that had a competent structural engineer they used that knew what they were doing - read on. Because it took so long to find a contractor we trusted, we had a lot of time to really plan out what we wanted. We were wanting to extend the gable over the patio, but had some specific preferences for the finish out. We wanted certain lighting accents, fans and electric heaters to get more use out of the covered space. We came across Beautiful Backyard Living (BBL) and after seeing the videos they had online, we gave them a call. Austin came out and worked with us during a consult where we talked about our vision and what we wanted to include. We knew it was a challenge, from a design and build out perspective, but Austin was great to work with. He took our concept and ran with it. They created a design that was structurally sound and that fit our vision perfectly. He came up with a visual rendering of the build out and took us through a couple iterations adding his ideas to ours to come up with a great plan. I was impressed with how professional BBL was and the fairness of their terms. NOTE: we even had one contractor that tried to discourage us from actually signing a contract for the work; if your contractor won't agree to the work in writing, run, don't walk away from that company! But with BBL, it was part of the process. Everything was in writing, pricing was agreed to up front, leaving nothing to chance - I really respected that. I'm not sure if our project was as involved as others, but we had carpentry, roofing, brick work, guttering, and electrical sub contractors involved. Austin, was there every step of the way making sure things got done right, corrected any issues to fit the plan, and adjusted as needed. He was working for us, and held his subs to his high standards. Suffice it to say the end product looked great. The brick addition blended in so well, and the carpentry on the covered gable, ceiling and cedar accents looked great. The patio cover extension looked like it was part of the house all along. We highly recommend working with BBL, their work is absolutely stunning!!!
