This location was a bit difficult to find and I actually had to ask PATH security to direct me (it's across from Trade Secrets!). I ordered the Hojicha black sesame iced latte and the egg sandwich. I had wanted to order an egg sando but they were out and only 2 were available for people who had ordered ahead. I ended up with the egg burger and it was okay. Nothing overly spectacular in my opinion, but the bun was very soft. The Hojicha black sesame latte was good though! Not sure if the small size was worth the almost $7, but I definitely could taste the quality. You have to mix it quite well because my first sip contained a lot of black sesame (which I personally don't mind, but others may). Not sure if i'd come back simply because of the location, I may still try to get the egg sando at another location. UPDATE: It was the egg burger I had purchased that was okay. I wanted to try an alternative to the egg sando that they didn't have in stock. In addition, for the yelp event, the milk tea bun is the one I'd recommend out of the ones I tried (milk tea, matcha and custard). I wasn't expecting such a strong tea flavour but it's there (and i love that)! I'd recommend keeping them in the fridge as well as I had forgotten and left it out. It got soggy (my mistake here) but it was still good. Unsure if i'd purchase it otherwise, but it was tasty!

Their grand opening was on 2020-01-17 during which they gave out 100 free custard cream buns. During Jan 17-19, all their products are 20% off. Note: They do not accept cash as payment at this location.

I have been meaning to try the cream buns here for as long as I could remember. Calling in and reserving my order was easy. The person on the phone was helpful and nice! Finding Hattendo was not intuitive for a first-time goer like me. It's tucked away in the corner at the concourse level. I had to ask a Holt Renfrew employee for directions after wandering about for a couple of minutes. The cream buns were individually wrapped and packaged in a cute carrying bag. Taste wise, I was a little caught off guard by the sweetness of the bun. It ultimately overshadowed the filling flavours, notably the matcha and "Apple of my Eye". I personally enjoy a stronger matcha intensity, I think but if you like lighter notes, this is definitely for you. The "Silky Milk Tea" filling was the best one out of the batch. I would most likely order again when I return to try the other cream flavours and the melon pan buns!

First time visit, on the way to visit my classmates. Have to say it's a bit overpriced. I understand Japanese dessert is always a bit pricy. But according to the size of the bun. It's quite tiny. Although the taste was pretty good! The latte I got was pretty nice too! Well, just some new things to try!

I really like this place. I scored three buns from here - Apple, milk tea bun and custard. My favourite is the custard bun you cannot go wrong. I remember visiting this place before but at a different location. Their egg sandwhich looks very tempting but I think I got a dessert. This location is a bit difficult to find at first, you have to go to the lower level which is along the path. I wanted to eat tons more, but since I am on a diet I decided to share the rest with my family.

So the bear itself in the affogato was a solid icy chunk of milk (coz we chose the milk flavour) that just frozen. We added the affogato on top of it and while it looked aesthetic, the dessert didn't make sense at all. We were unable to break the frozen chunk or be able to mix it with the coffee and the coffee mixed with that frozen chunk submerged tasted really bad. Paying $16 for that wasn't worth it at all. The bingsu was good though. We got the mango bingsu bowl and it came loaded with mangoes and a marshmallow and an oreo cookie to make it look pretty! I don't think I'd come back to try anything else here. Was a little disappointed.

Delicious desserts, waffles ice cream, smoothies, and more. We ordered: Medium Mango Smoothie - $7.95 Simple Pleasures Waffle - $15.50 The waffle was light and fluffy and the toppings of fruit and chocolate were a great combination. I requested to be lighter on the chocolate but there was still a LOT of chocolate on our waffle. The mango smoothie was refreshing and sweet. I started going to Holy Choco when they first opened and their service was really good from some of the owner. Super attentive and caring staff. Unfortunately, it's since gone downhill since they've hired new staff and we had a number of small problems when visiting this time (dirty tables, dirty cutlery, requested if our food could be put in to go containers because they didn't want to do dishes, unfriendly, etc.) I hope they improve upon these staffing issues soon. Their seating area is good for friends and groups to loiter. Also, if you plan on bringing a laptop, they have MANY OUTLETS!!

For items: we chose strawberry, banana, halal marshmallow, waffle bites, brownie bites, and Oreo with a round of cappuccino's ($5.50 each). The interior is nicely decorated with a cute angel photo op in the back, and window bar seats and couches to choose from. Great spot for 2-4 people. The only criticism I could have was it took a while to get our order. So, it's not one of those places you can be dipping into expecting to be done in 20mins! We stayed for nearly 3 hours and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.

I got the Avalanche (Skor,Cheesecake, and Caramel) and I loved that they stretched the dough when we ordered and then start frying it right there. It really ensures that we get freshly fried Beaver Tails at the peak of their deliciousness. After I got mine slathered with the toppings I ordered, I dug in and as expected, it's really hot but SOOOOO good. It's like the concept of a donut only thinner and crispier, thus resulting in a much better texture and crunch throughout which I very much prefer over a donut actually. The cheesecake spread mingling with the sweet caramel, crunchy toffee bits, and crispy hot dough is just such a perfect combination. It's a bit of a mess to eat but sooooo worth it. It really is such a shame that there isn't an establishment like this in NYC because it could seriously do some REALLY good numbers over here I reckon. I HAVE to get this again when I come back up to Canada (unless ya'll want to build a place down across the border haha).

When I saw the price was $9.90 per chocolate, I was honestly a little surprised, bc it's sold under 7 per chocolate in Korea. But they were running a promotion until the 15th -- 5 for $30 -- which made it much more reasonable. I've never had the original version sold in Korea, so I can't compare it directly, but from what I've seen and heard, it seems pretty similar to what's trending there. Korean reviews are overwhelmingly positive, and people say it tastes just like the viral version. The texture is definitely chewy, just like the name suggests, and it's very sweet. Personally, it was a bit too sweet for my taste, but that's just my preference. That being said, I gave some as gifts and they absolutely loved it. So if you enjoy rich, sweet desserts -- or you're looking for something trendy and fun to share -- this would be a great choice. The shop itself is small and cozy, but very welcoming. The staff were friendly and made the experience pleasant. Overall, even though it's not exactly my personal favorite flavor-wise, I can understand the hype. It's a fun treat to try at least once, especially if you've been curious about the viral Korean Dubai chocolate trend. I'd recommend stopping by and taking advantage of the promo while it lasts!
