He did want to exchange it so he went in and exchanged it for another and picked one up for me. The same lady helped him that helped me and even though they were still out of stock on the one he really wanted he picked out another one and she took down all of his information and called him when they got in stock and held it. We never go to Austin without stopping in there and picking up something new. They always give great service and have an excellent selection of hats ranging from western to trucker. A must-see for hat aficionados…read more Stopped by the north-east corner of Georgetown's downtown squad and visited Nathaniel's Custom Hats to see what it's about - and it's quite an establishment. The hats you see in the store start at around $500 and are all custom made. It's owned and run by Native American Master Hatter Nate Funmaker. He's been named "Best Living Hat Maker" by True West Magazine. Nate's hats are constructed on vintage equipment, including a 100-year old hat 'measurer' that you sit on your head to get exact measurements for the hat maker. His work reminds me of the hat my mother left me - it was custom made for her 60 years ago and still looks new. Most of the hats are Western style, with Stetsons and others predominating. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the market for a quality hat!

He hates pleated pants and we just were hoping they had some nice things in stock. We walked in and were greeted, anything you are looking for, well not really, just wanted to browse what they had overall. It was my husband, myself, and 1 and 2 year old. Thankfully we had them in our double stroller - the Nuna Demi grow that seats both of them comfortably so that we can shop without worrying about them running around or grabbing things off shelves, etc. She asked me about 30 seconds later once we made it to the other side of the store (by the columbia side of windows) . No thank you. browsed their sock selection, which was slim pickings. and we decided maybe they had some on the opposite side of the racks we passed on our one lap in. again, the thick accented, glasses wearing young lady asked again, Is there anything you are looking for ? That was it, in 1.5 minute-2 minutes time she followed me around the store asking if we needed help looking for something. I said, you know that's it, I'm done. Even if I wanted to purchase something in this store I wouldn't specifically because of you. I'll be spending at the stores down the hall. And that's exactly what we did. Never. again. ever. I couldnt figure out why we were treated this way? Was it my $500 purse? was it my $1400 stroller? Was it my well-dressed family? was it because I had kids with me? I'll never know.
