    Kung Pao chicken (with cashews).
    Merina B.

Looking for a quick bite to eat on Sunday evening and popped in here with a friend- it didn't seem cheap when we ordered- Kung Pao chicken and Ma Po Bean Curd (known in some restaurants as Ma Po tofu.). Then our food arrived. They were huge plates of deliciousness. We gobbled them up like starving people. My mouth waters even now at the thought. Warning: closed Wednesdays. Sorry no pictures- the food was gone before I thought of it. Next time I go I might try something else, but I will definitely be back for my now-two favourites. Salad rolls are quite big and come with sauce, but are pretty low on shrimp. Next time I go I will try ordering the dinner for two.

    Wonton Soup, very flavourful

Ordered delivery from here through Door Dash and it did not disappoint. The food arrived hot, fresh and delicious! Very well prepared We ordered Dinner for Two. It comes with Chicken Fried Rice, Wonton Soup and Two Vegetable Spring Rolls. Plus a choice of two entrees. We chose Kung Pao Chicken and Beef with snow peas. Everything was very flavourful but a word of caution; The Kung Pao Chicken was super spicy...my mouth was on fire and I love spicy food. The spring rolls are just "okay" but everything else was really tasty. We will most definitely be ordering from here again.

Buy over $35 for pick-up/delivery, get 2 free green onion cakes. Not bad considering they sell for $3.25 each.

Food is excellent, service is awful! Don't do delivery, just go and pick up. Save yourself the 3 hour wait!!!

We were pleasantly surprised as the haddock was tender and flaky, and the batter was crispy and flavorful. The thick cut fries were definitely a wonderful pairing. Lots of lemon wedges and tartar sauce were provided as well as different types of vinegar, including my favourite malt vinegar. Service was great, as soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a smile and asked if it was our first time there. Special attention was given, even though it was extremely busy. This place was bustling as we went on a Saturday around 6:30 PM and had to wait for a table. People seemed happy and the fish and chips just kept flying out the kitchen. The atmosphere was interesting to look at while waiting for your food. There were British style telephone booths everywhere and lots of UK/London style pictures and decor that added to the experience. I would definitely recommend this place!

Fish was pretty greasy. Batter was crispy but gets soggy quickly. Fish itself was good. Fries were more like potato wedges, very fat fries. Would have like them more cooked and more salt. Sooooo many fries. I would highly recommend get the code combo for 2 people and just order additional fish. I tried the side of beans - was good. Side of coleslaw was also good, very crisp. Side of 1 bun was soft and good. Overall not my favorite fish and chips place but that's just my preference.

The ambiance and atmosphere are very warm and inviting and I can say the same about the service. Our server was helpful, friendly and informative. I ordered the beef souvlaki lunch plate which came with rice and salad as well as a choice of garlic sauce, tzatziki, or tahini. We were also offered some homemade hot sauce as well. The food tasted really good and my colleagues enjoyed theirs as well. I'd like to visit again to try more of their menu. They have plenty of dishes that would be good for sharing as well.

It is really cute inside full of trinkets from Egypt that make you feel like you are in a baazar. The owner is super friendly and helpful. Really loved the customer service. We decided on a few dishes to try. We decided on the Chef's Platter that serves 2-3 although unless you have an appetite of a lumberjack, it will feed more. It comes with - Salad, Hawawshi (flatbread filled with meat), kushari (Egypt's national dish consisting of lentils and macaroni), baba Ganooj, Musakka as well as a bunch of skewers. Chicken, beef, kabab skewers, lamb shank and rice. We also ordered Egyptian tea which was delightful. Food took a while to come out. However it was all good except the lamb shank was on the dry side which was disappointing. I really enjoyed the salad and the baba ganooj. My husband enjoyed the meat dishes. However we both loved the Hawawshi. Give it a try!

The selection is smaller than you might find in a city, but they make up for it in originality and variety. How about three kinds of noodles? And Italian meatballs, prawns, chop suey, deep fried scallops and tempura fried fish. Those last two really impressed me, because they were both fried just enough to allow their delicate flavors and textures shine through. Someone paid attention. On their salad bar, you'll find a different variety of vegetable and fruit salads, alongside simple but excellent fruit slices like papaya, mango, and lychee fruit. Again, someone paid attention to the details, instead of just hacking up some tossed salad and a bunch of melon. I LOVED that they had sushi! It was simple stuff, mostly cucumber, avocado and shrimp, but it was beautiful and tasty--not going to complain! Desserts were simple, but there's something for everyone. Two kinds of cake, chocolate and lemon--I had one of each, plus the lovely custard. What I thought was really cool was the wide variety of ice cream they had available. They had the standard vanilla, but also mint chip, oreo and more. Service was superb. They are quick and soooo nice there. Excellent! I'm pleased with the whole experience. I'll definitely come back when I'm in Westlock.

The seats are comfortable and it can get a little tight for space if others are seated at tables around you. After we ordered, the food didn't take long to arrive at the table and there wasn't long gaps in between the 10 dishes. The presentation of the food was ok, and some of the dishes didn't look as appetizing as at other restaurants. The taste of the food was alright with some dishes not having enough flavour. One dish had boneless chicken, and they didn't cut it very well and it was more like 3 pieces. The bird's nest was dark and it looked like the oil wasn't changed recently. The shrimp in the shrimp with peaches dish were small and deep fried. The service throughout the meal was good with drinks refilled. They also offered dessert at the end of the meal. There are a few things that stood out about the restaurant. The emergency exit is a door that is all covered up with paper and there are chairs right against the door. Not sure if there's an emergency, people could get out using that door. In the women's washroom, the larger stall had a hole in the ceiling with a ladder coming down from it. On the floor there were boxes of empty beer bottles. I guess they are short of storage space but not sure about the hole and ladder? I didn't use that stall for fear someone might drop in! Not my favourite Chinese food restaurant but it wasn't terrible either. Won't be back anytime soon.
