Sai Woo was the first place that came to mind. Our experience was lovely. We were seated quickly, as the restaurant was largely empty, with tea and menus coming immediately. We picked a couple of favourite dishes and set about our visiting. The food arrived quickly, and all expectations were met. It was all delicious, and the portions generous. The service was excellent. Attentive, but not intrusive. The restaurant itself is dated in terms of decor, but is clean and rife with character. This is exactly the type of restaurant I love. My friend and I have returned since this visit, and will do so again and again.

Though I am not an "Enzyme" fan (which) makes the drink vinegar-like they say it is good for your health. Overall this is a much needed Chinese restaurant for the University/hospital district. You can actually park your vehicle safely in their free lot now, for up to 2 hours. Security is watching and even checks in with you when you park. As for the food, in my experience it's all been great! The menu is a funny combo of different cuisines, definitely befitting the name "bistro". There are a variety of asian dishes (Chinese, Japanese, Thai), HK-style foods and very traditional western cuisine like beef bourguignon. That one intrigues me, super old school and looks really good. There are also some set menus that come with drinks. Our faves here include Garlic fried rice, fresh fruit mango bubble tea (tastes like dim sum mango pudding), ginger beef, spicy fried tofu, green onion cake, and pan fried beef chow fun. But really there's nothing here we haven't enjoyed. The neighborhood is struggling here with the unhoused and opioid crisis, but don't be afraid to still come out and support All Happy - they need it now more than ever.
