Verily, a feast most splendid did unfold before mine eyes. The meats, sliced as though by the hands of seraphs, didst dance upon the tongue with a tenderness divine. The salad bar, a cornucopia of delights, offered ambrosial greens and morsels fit for the table of kings. With each bite, the flavors didst intertwine as though in a harmonious sonnet. In sooth, the victuals were of such quality that even the most discerning palate would be pleased. 'Twas a banquet worthy of the Bard's own praise!

One of our favourite spots to go to when downtown for hotpot! Their broths & meats are higher quality, and I love their cold foods section if you do AYCE :) . Every time we go, the staff has been attentive as well. Would defs recommend checking them out if you haven't already! Their sukiyaki broth is great!

Was acknowledged right away by servers but took a but to get seated. It's become an AYCE spot that has comparable pricing to the other hotpot spots in the city. The food came out quick but variety felt limited. For example they didn't even have Napa cabbage as their vegetables. Wasnt too busy on a Saturday night so guests were spaced out and wasn't too loud

This restaurant is a great place for hotpot. It's one of the rare spots where they refill your pot with the same soup that you ordered. The meat cuts are a tad thicker than usual but not to the point where you find yourself chewing for a long time. The sauce bar has an average amount of variety but each sauce is quite potent. Service is quick and there was no skimping on meat orders.

So, I've been here a couple times after and can give this place an extra star. Came with a group of 6 to try my "it's better with more people" theory. Yes, yes it is. We kind of went ham as it was my birthday, but I was really impressed with presentation and quality. Price still expensive. Came again with just a party of 2 and did individual pots. They now offer Tom Yum, so I had to try. Spicy! Nice! They also added some seafood as extras in the soup... shrimp and mussel, so those with allergy beware. I really like their spicy soup base. Price still way expensive. So, I didn't give 5 stars because it is expensive. I could only justify spending that much on a special occasion... I'll come back on someone's birthday lol.

Delicious food but the serving speed was a little bit slow. Pretty authentic soup base. Not as spicy as expected since I am a spice person.

Food was good, the staff were very accommodating. Street parking is horrible but the parkade at the back was better.

We usually go with the combination dinners which include wonton soup, spring rolls, chicken, fried rice, and two entrées. We went to eat in person this week, and the service was excellent. We went on a Thursday so the ambiance was quite quiet but it's a nice clean space with very friendly staff and the food is even better fresh from the kitchen. I'll definitely be coming back to try more of the authentic Chinese food.

However, it can be a challenge to find a parking spot if people are attending church at the time you arrive. My family has been eating here for a few years and I even celebrated my 25th wedding anniversary here. Alex and the rest of the staff ensures all the customers are well taken care of. He had heart balloons and flowers for our table which made the occasion even more special. The food is fabulous, the peaches and shrimp dish is so good as well as the beef with Gai lan and the tofu assorted vegetable hot pot. Noodles and desserts are great as well! We have tried so many dishes here it is hard to name them all. This restaurant is also on SkipTheDishes and with my referral, my office has ordered on several occasions. Everyone was very happy with their lunch choices! Excellent food and service, prices are very reasonable and if this restaurant was closer to my home, we would be eating her all the time!

Huge change from the dark paint and warehouse styling from the previous AYCE sushi place. They have divided the space nicely including a large private room. It also helps that YEG's notorious Boyle St Co-op, formerly next door, has been raised to the ground, thus moving the hardcore zombies a few blocks north. You can actually park your vehicle safely in their free lot now, for up to 2 hours. Security is watching and even checks in with you when you park. As for the food, in my experience it's all been great! The menu is a funny combo of different cuisines, definitely befitting the name "bistro". There are a variety of asian dishes (Chinese, Japanese, Thai), HK-style foods and very traditional western cuisine like beef bourguignon. That one intrigues me, super old school and looks really good. There are also some set menus that come with drinks. It's one of the few places I feel spoiled for interesting selection, hard to make a choice. Chinatown Dining Week has brought me back here three times in as many weeks, got hooked by the beef and sour veg steamed in a lotus wrap. This visit my husband got the gyukatsu set, which was really good if you can live with slightly sweet Glico-style curry. The omurice was perfect. Their katsu particularly is really, really good, better than your average schnitzel, and much cheaper! Have been back a few times and even brought the extended family. There's something for everyone! Everything we've tried has been tasty, fresh and a generous portion. Previously we tried the bistro premium fried rice which had scallops and tobiko, delicious. My food-restricted niece tried the crispy shrimp appy, which were really tasty and more like prawn-size. Not sure she got many back after offering to share with the table. Ah Chinatown. Been coming here my whole life but always get the side-eye, usually from the owner, until ordering. The experience wouldn't be the same without it. The other staff were more genuinely friendly and happy the food was enjoyed. One01Bistro is officially a new family favourite, especially before events at Rogers Place. Psst also... cheap beer.

The only thing that I can say about the service was that the food was ready with pick up. We had the family dinner for 4 - Sweet and Sour Chicken, Crispy Ginger Beef, Mixed Vegetables w/Garlic, Spring Rolls (4) and Chicken fried Rice. The sweet and sour chicken batter was dry and the chicken inside was stringy. The crispy ginger beef was not crispy but chewy and lacked beef. Spring rolls had good flavour but spent a bit too much time in the fryer. The chicken fried rice was bland. The only dish that was good wsa the mixed vegetables with garlic. Perfectly cooked and very flavourful. Also they didn't send sauces. Next take out night i will take my business somewhere else.

We quickly grabbed a new set where multiple sets were ready for distribution when neccessary. As Asians, we generally wash all of our bowls and utensils prior using as our practice with hot water or tea (depending on what you ask for). Food - 4/5. The chicken casserole was flavourful, just a lot of bones. The beef was very soft and tender. The sweet and sour pork chops had a thick tangy sauce but good that it had a light batter around the meat, which kept the meat moist. The chicken is the typical dish you can get at most Chinese restaurants. It was interesting that it actually sat in a soy sauce base. The ginger sauce is missing the typical green onions. However, it was seasoned quite well. I didn't take a picture of dessert though. It was red bean with glutinous rice sweet soup. I actually quite enjoyed it. Overall: 3.5/5. It's an ok place to try if you are in the area. It's has free parking. Just be vigilent with the bowls and utensils.
