The location is not the best, but if you can get past the crowd and the front door it's worth it…read more We came late at night, right before the kitchen was about to close (which we didn't know about until we walked in). And we also came with a very large group. Honestly they had all the reason to kick us out, but the staff took care of us regardless. Since we were late we just picked the soup broth and 5 add-on's. I got the Herb and Lamb broth. It was delicious, savory, and hearty. And for the add-on's, I picked the sliced Beef Sirloin, Enoki Mushroom, Napa Cabbage, Fried Tofu and Flat Rice Noodles. They didn't have Fried Tofu so I asked to substitute for Fried Bean Curd instead. Looking back at this now, I'm glad (and I'm sure the kitchen was too) that we only picked 5 things. AYCE would've been too much and too overwhelming with all the options there. And honestly, they gave us so much for the 5 things we ordered. It was a whole spread of meat and veggies. I was actually very impressed. Portion size was huge. I was also impressed by the service we received. It was late, but they really took care of us as patrons. It's a 4.5/5 for me. Definitely one of the best service I've received at a sit-down restaurant/food business and I wish this place success.

They have decent quality and selection of food for their AYCE and lunch special, so I'd give them a 8.3/10. I love the online ordering system of scanning a qr code and ordering on ure phone. It makes life so much easier instead of trying to flag down a busy waiter. I loved this concept and I hope more restaurants do this. I started with the beef oxtail tongue and is was super delicious! I loved it. It's a tad spicy if your not used to it and for me it was not spicy enough. I will have to order this every single time bc it's just that delicious! I had the coconut curry soup with upgraded hand pulled noodles. It was a delicious upgrade. U can get unlimited noodle refills. But I preferred the hand pulled ones. They had a really good chew. My company had the tomato based broth which tasted like added some ketchup in the soup, it was sweet and tasty. Personally I loved the coconut curry though. We finished off with those warm coconut balls which were gooey and warm and so much better than regular sesame balls. Get them. They end up being $1 each. Definitely a nice cheap way to end the meal. Portions were good. Service was stellar. And I'll definitely be back!

Bangkok is a hidden AYCE hotpot off Kingsway. (Truly, if we didn't know to look for it, I'd never…read moreknow it was there. It's tucked away on a side road surrounded by residential streets!) But there it was, this bright green little gem. It's not as modern as other places, but the food was fresh and topped up on the buffet + even though not as big as others, there were still a few items I hadn't seen anywhere else. Their broth was good too - we tried the satay & tom yum and both were flavourful. They've been open under the same management for 11+ years! Covid has been tough - they closed completely when dine in was shut down and are just starting to rebuild business (I don't think they do take out but I'm not 100%). It was completely dead when we were there, minus one other table - and they still kept filling the food with fresh items. They kind of fall under the radar, maybe because they're not as flashy as other places? But they are yummy with super nice people - if you're considering hotpot, it's worth checking out! A few things to note: it's one of the cheaper AYCE hotpots in the city (I think it was $26 + $2 for broth - other places are $35-40). AYCE only. No late night or lunch special, the price is the price all day. Cash or debit only.

In the sauce department the xo and peanut butter sauce is amazing and the chopped chillies in a vinegar like sauce is soo delicious and brings such great flavour to anything that accompanies it. I absolutely love it here, it really has a nice welcoming environment and the manager is very nice as well. I always look forward to my next visit.

This was our first-ever hot pot experience, and Shoo Loong Kan absolutely nailed it…read more We ordered three soup bases -- Tom Yum, pork bone broth, and sukiyaki -- along with a vegetable plate, beef short, and prime ribeye. For drinks, we tried the strawberry coconut milk tea and the dirty brown sugar milk tea, and both were delicious. The food was amazing. I would highly recommend the pork bone broth for first-timers -- it was hands down my favorite. The sukiyaki was also a standout (perfect if you enjoy saltier flavors). The Tom Yum was great if you like spice, but it's more of a specific taste and probably not one I'd personally reorder. The decor is beautiful with subtle cultural touches, and I loved how modern and easy the experience was. They have an online ordering system you can use right from your phone, which made everything super convenient. Bonus: they offer a happy hour deal on the beef short until 3 PM, where it's $2.99 instead of the regular $6 -- such a steal. The service was incredible. The staff brought the food out quickly, and our server took the time to explain everything, which made our first hot pot experience stress-free and enjoyable. Overall, this is an experience you must try. We'll definitely be back!

Wanted to try this place with my girlfriend for her birthday because she never had hot pot before,…read moreK looked up online reviews for this place and heard it's pretty good food wise but at the same time it's expensive for good reason. The place looks really fancy with its atmosphere (aside from the gender neutral bathroom). Mainly writing this review to express the disappointment in service me and my girlfriend had to deal with, we got seated right away with a female server (name Idk of) and this male server named "Jay" (looks Russian) said he was our server today and said to look through the menu and he'll be right back and when we're ready he'll take our orders, dude literally ignores us for like 30mins all the while he's helping the tables near us with simple tasks, this guy has the nerves to look me right in the eyes while I tried waving him down (not once but a couple times) to take our orders and he just continues to either help those other tables or walk away entirely to go talk with his co workers, my girlfriend said lets wait for another couple minutes and I reluctantly agree but only for 10 more minutes. Server "Jay" continues to purposely ignore me and my girlfriend (mind you on her birthday which I wanted to make a special time with) so I take her hand and make us walk out with utter disregard for the place or server "Jay". Service sucks unless you're working class white individuals or Asians. Wrote this specifically so the establishment can make server "Jay" can work on his behaviour for racial equality and avoid anymore embarrassment for their name.
