All the food! And the corn cheese
    Lillian T.

So Much food. There were 6 of us and ordering the combo for 4 ppl was more than enough! It came with corn cheese as well as two soups! We still added another dish but a were stuffed. My only complaint is that the table we were at was not enough space for 6 people and all the food! Maybe they needed an extra cart to place things in the meantime. So of course our friend would accidentally hit the buzzer button! Maybe if it was on the wall it would have been better. Great experience overall!

We had an incredible FEAST, at Jung Restaurant recently. Quite possibly our favourite KBBQ spot in Edmonton now. Pictured is their NEW combo meal for 4. Tbh, this meal could have comfortably fed a group of 6. We practically had to be rolled out of the restaurant afterwards. Our servers were pleasant, & attentive. The space was clean & wasn't overly busy when we went. IMO, the place is decently ventilated as well :) would strongly suggest visiting if you haven't already, as they've improved significantly since they first opened (about 6 months ago); when we were last back!

The food was excellent. The servers extremely accommodating, it was a very cold night and only two two of us we were outnumbered by the staff. This is definitely a restaurant everyone should try.

bbq combo for 2 people, includes the corn cheese as well and your choice of soup

And we also came with a very large group. Honestly they had all the reason to kick us out, but the staff took care of us regardless. Since we were late we just picked the soup broth and 5 add-on's. I got the Herb and Lamb broth. It was delicious, savory, and hearty. And for the add-on's, I picked the sliced Beef Sirloin, Enoki Mushroom, Napa Cabbage, Fried Tofu and Flat Rice Noodles. They didn't have Fried Tofu so I asked to substitute for Fried Bean Curd instead. Looking back at this now, I'm glad (and I'm sure the kitchen was too) that we only picked 5 things. AYCE would've been too much and too overwhelming with all the options there. And honestly, they gave us so much for the 5 things we ordered. It was a whole spread of meat and veggies. I was actually very impressed. Portion size was huge. I was also impressed by the service we received. It was late, but they really took care of us as patrons. It's a 4.5/5 for me. Definitely one of the best service I've received at a sit-down restaurant/food business and I wish this place success.

I love the online ordering system of scanning a qr code and ordering on ure phone. It makes life so much easier instead of trying to flag down a busy waiter. I loved this concept and I hope more restaurants do this. I started with the beef oxtail tongue and is was super delicious! I loved it. It's a tad spicy if your not used to it and for me it was not spicy enough. I will have to order this every single time bc it's just that delicious! I had the coconut curry soup with upgraded hand pulled noodles. It was a delicious upgrade. U can get unlimited noodle refills. But I preferred the hand pulled ones. They had a really good chew. My company had the tomato based broth which tasted like added some ketchup in the soup, it was sweet and tasty. Personally I loved the coconut curry though. We finished off with those warm coconut balls which were gooey and warm and so much better than regular sesame balls. Get them. They end up being $1 each. Definitely a nice cheap way to end the meal. Portions were good. Service was stellar. And I'll definitely be back!

As a large group we were disappointed in this place. For a large group ordering is a mess. Bc there's just one sheet of paper and food is just plopped on the table and servers don't tell us what it is. The nine of us were really disappointed in this meal. As our sliced meats came almost an hour after our soups served. And veggies basically came 5 min before that. Half our meal was missing sliced meats and veggies. We ordered mussels clams and oysters and we never saw any of it despite complaining. We ended up getting the oysters very last about 1.5 hours into our meal. Requests to refill waters was ignored and for 9 of us only 7 water provided! It was really weird service and maybe bc it was a large group they didn't care bc they automatically add the tip to the bill. I'll avoid this place. Service and portions have gone significantly down and the entire experience was ruined based on how the food was served. There shouldn't be such a long wait in-between meat/veggies and seafood. Not at all worth the $45 we ended up paying each for our meal because of the automatic tip for the shittiest service I've had in chinatown. Avoid at all costs! Go elsewhere.

Wow! First to review this place!!…read more We came here in June after their soft opening. My mom had heard about Han Shi Fang through WeChat and the videos looked so enticing. I was dying to try the combination of hot pot and grill. The staff were incredibly attentive and prompt. They gave lots of suggestions as to what to order, and my favorites were the supreme beef slices, sliced lamb, enoki beef rolls, and quail eggs. For five of us, a two-flavor pot worked very well. Also order the fresh watermelon juice, as it helps cool you down from the hot soup and grilled items. Take advantage of the make-your-own-sauce station near the entrance. My fav is ponzu with green onions and a little bit of garlic.

Seems to be all you can eat only since we weren't offered an a la carte option. It's $32.95 per person PLUS the cost of broth $6.95 for 1 flavour, $8.95 for 2 or $10.95 for 4. I guess if you only want hot water it's free? But who would do that?? They also have additional items you can add for a cost but we stuck to the AYCE menu. $3.25 for unlimited refills of canned pop or $8.95 for 1 pitcher of their fresh beverages. We ordered a half non-spicy pork bone broth and half house special butter spicy. You can adjust the spice level and although we asked for medium spicy, there was definitely heat to it! Once we put in our order, we went to the small sauce station to make our sauces. Not as many options as other places in town, but did the job. The broth pot came out first - a communal pot for the table, so be aware. Topped with a grill plate over top for your BBQ. The spicy butter was indeed spicy and heavy on the grease. I don't think I'd order it again. The pork was better, but although both had lots of aromatics in them, we both found them to be rather bland. The hot food options were ok. You get 1 order of enoki beef rolls per table, already cooked, and they were tasty. Didn't love the crispy pork. As for the rest, our favourites were the shrimp paste, the hot pot beef, hot pot lamb and quail eggs (already cooked and peeled). Service was incredibly attentive and friendly. The moment we had an empty plate, it was whisked away. No complaints there. Overall, it was about $90 for 2 people before tip and drinking pop. Definitely not a cheap meal. That said, service was great and the ventilation was good where it wasn't stuck to our clothes & hair (often we leave these restaurants smelling like hot pot forever). The novelty is fun with both hot pot & BBQ, but I didn't find the BBQ great. Would be better going to an actual BBQ restaurant for BBQ. For the price, the options are limited compared to other places.

But there it was, this bright green little gem. It's not as modern as other places, but the food was fresh and topped up on the buffet + even though not as big as others, there were still a few items I hadn't seen anywhere else. Their broth was good too - we tried the satay & tom yum and both were flavourful. They've been open under the same management for 11+ years! Covid has been tough - they closed completely when dine in was shut down and are just starting to rebuild business (I don't think they do take out but I'm not 100%). It was completely dead when we were there, minus one other table - and they still kept filling the food with fresh items. They kind of fall under the radar, maybe because they're not as flashy as other places? But they are yummy with super nice people - if you're considering hotpot, it's worth checking out! A few things to note: it's one of the cheaper AYCE hotpots in the city (I think it was $26 + $2 for broth - other places are $35-40). AYCE only. No late night or lunch special, the price is the price all day. Cash or debit only.

For drinks, we tried the strawberry coconut milk tea and the dirty brown sugar milk tea, and both were delicious. The food was amazing. I would highly recommend the pork bone broth for first-timers -- it was hands down my favorite. The sukiyaki was also a standout (perfect if you enjoy saltier flavors). The Tom Yum was great if you like spice, but it's more of a specific taste and probably not one I'd personally reorder. The decor is beautiful with subtle cultural touches, and I loved how modern and easy the experience was. They have an online ordering system you can use right from your phone, which made everything super convenient. Bonus: they offer a happy hour deal on the beef short until 3 PM, where it's $2.99 instead of the regular $6 -- such a steal. The service was incredible. The staff brought the food out quickly, and our server took the time to explain everything, which made our first hot pot experience stress-free and enjoyable. The place looks really fancy with its atmosphere (aside from the gender neutral bathroom). Mainly writing this review to express the disappointment in service me and my girlfriend had to deal with, we got seated right away with a female server (name Idk of) and this male server named "Jay" (looks Russian) said he was our server today and said to look through the menu and he'll be right back and when we're ready he'll take our orders, dude literally ignores us for like 30mins all the while he's helping the tables near us with simple tasks, this guy has the nerves to look me right in the eyes while I tried waving him down (not once but a couple times) to take our orders and he just continues to either help those other tables or walk away entirely to go talk with his co workers, my girlfriend said lets wait for another couple minutes and I reluctantly agree but only for 10 more minutes. Server "Jay" continues to purposely ignore me and my girlfriend (mind you on her birthday which I wanted to make a special time with) so I take her hand and make us walk out with utter disregard for the place or server "Jay". Service sucks unless you're working class white individuals or Asians. Wrote this specifically so the establishment can make server "Jay" can work on his behaviour for racial equality and avoid anymore embarrassment for their name.
