Who doesn't love a big bowl of noodle soup (especially in the winter)? It's warm, comforting, and at Noodleholic you can choose exactly the way that you want it made. Named Best Chinese Restaurant 2024 in EDify Magazine, I absolutely had to try the restaurant that claimed this prestigious top spot. Opening in 2018 and formerly located in Chinatown, Noodleholic migrated south this past summer and can now be found in a strip mall in Parsons Industrial. The outside is quite noticeable with unmistakable signage and bowls of soup as their logo. I visited on a Saturday evening and upon entering the restaurant was met with delicious aromas of soup and greetings from the friendly staff members. The space is a decent size with plenty of seating and it's lively and bright. I loved the large, mural-style art and vibrant red paint. The room is comfortable and welcoming and we easily settled into a table whereupon we were delivered a coffee pot of tea. I always love the ritual of sipping upon a warm cup of tea while I figure out the menu. First I wanted to choose another beverage, since the Hong Kong Style Drinks sounded really good. The Milk Tea ($4.50) seemed like an obvious choice but they also serve a bunch of different and interesting-sounding teas. For example, they do a half coffee half milk tea - for when you can't decide?! Served hot or cold, I opted for the cold version. I absolutely loved that I was provided with a small cup of liquid simple syrup to use as a sweetener. This is so much better to use in a cold beverage, whereas solid sugar would take a long time to dissolve. What a thoughtful touch! I loved this milk tea a lot! It was strong and sweet - thoroughly enjoyable! The servers and staff at Noodleholic are incredibly sweet and friendly. They were very happy to answer our questions and they made us feel very welcome. Dining experiences are made so much better when the people working are wonderful and this was certainly the case at Noodleholic. There is a long list of Side Dishes available and I definitely wanted to sample a few of them. The Grilled Pork Dumplings ($6.00) always seem like a solid choice. These perfect little pouches were quite delicious! The meat inside was juicy and I loved dipping into the accompanying sauce for more flavour. These certainly fall into the "simple pleasure" category because they seem fairly standard but were just right. To try something a bit more adventurous, I was also curious about the Curry Fish Balls ($5.75). I liked the curry flavour a lot but found the fish balls to be a bit lackluster overall. These are easy to pop into your mouth and serve well as a little side snack. Next time I would probably just get the Chinese long donut because it's never a bad time when you have one of those. The main thing at Noodleholic is obviously the noodle soup. They have pre-arranged noodle bowls (and they also serve congee (a Chinese savoury rice porridge) but the most popular option is surely the "Build Your Own Noodle Bowl" ($15.25). I actually found this to be quite similar to hot pot. It's almost the same type of experience, except the restaurant is assembling it for you and there is no table-top hot pot involved. But otherwise, just like with hot pot, you are given a paper and a pen to mark off which soup base, noodle, and various toppings that you would like in your soup. On top of your specific choices, each soup is served with green onion, cilantro, and bean sprouts (unless you specify otherwise). I got to work on creating my ideal noodle masterpiece. It did not take long at all before the bowl was steaming before me and I was enjoying a soup facial. Here's what I decided to get! I was really torn on which broth to select because as we all know, the broth is the most important component. A great broth is key! There are twelve to choose from and I was conflicted because part of me wanted to keep things more traditionally Chinese... But I couldn't deny my love for Curry Laksa Broth (which is Singaporean in origin). I liked that the menu ranks the spiciness of the broths from 1-5 so that you can gauge what you're getting yourself into. The laksa broth was rated as a 1, which seemed pretty tame. This formidable broth was fragrant with a beautifully developed flavour infused with lemongrass. I enjoyed it a lot and I did find it quite spicy! I can't imagine what a 5 on the spice scale (Szechuan spicy soup) would be like! It must be very, very intense. Next is noodles and the menu boasts thirteen types. The idea of the Shrimp-Egg Noodle sounded great to me, especially since my soup was going to be leaning in a seafood direction. This noodle turned out to be a lot thinner than I expected and tangled itself into a pretty serious ball. I also found this noodle quite dense and not at all chewy. Was it supposed to have a shrimp type of flavour? I would probably choose a different noodle next time. Lastly, is the huge list of toppings! You get to choose any two that you like incl

We were looking for a warm bowl of noodles and stumbled upon this restaurant by accident. Apparently it has been around for 10+ years, having been in Chinatown originally but moved to this new location. Clean and bright, with very stripped down décor typical of a Chinese restaurant. The build your own noodle option is very flexible and can fit every preference and dietary restriction. You choose a soup base (plenty of spicy and non spicy options), a noodle and two toppings for $17. Fell free to add more toppings or a drink for an extra charge. I had the Curry Laksa soup broth with the flat sweet potato noodles with beef tendon and shrimp. I got a hot HK milk tea for an extra $2. The soup has a pleasant lingering spiciness but wasn't as creamy as I expect from a curry broth. I liked the super chewy large flat clear noodles as they were very bouncy but didn't get gummy at all. Tendons were super tender and each bowl had generous amount of ingredients. Good strong HK milk tea without any sugar so you can dock it to your liking. Great place for a customizing a bowl of noodles to your specific liking.

Overall quality is pretty good. Super friendly service and they have some pretty good noodle topping selection. Order a beef bone broth which tasted like pho. Slice beef but it's too lean to my liking. Wotan a bit blend but overall it's good. Would come back next time if I am in the area.

My name is Paula, and I am a noodleholic. Fortunately, I have found the perfect place to enable my culinary habit. Noodleholic is the latest restaurant to take over the space at 9658 107A Avenue, after several failed noodle soup and Middle Eastern eateries. The interior has changed very little since last I was in the space, when it was still a Vietnamese pho restaurant some years ago. It's small but spacious, clean, and bright. Noodleholic specializes in noodle soup (no surprise, given the name). The menu is actually a lot of fun. For $12.95, you pick the broth, type of noodle, and two toppings from a very extensive list of choices (more toppings can be added for an additional charge). There are a also a few "set" noodle soups on the menu, with the broth, noodles, and toppings already chosen, also $12.95. You can also get side dishes like spring rolls and green onion cakes, all of which are under $7. If you order a noodle soup, you can add a beverage for an additional dollar. For my broth, I chose the non-spicy "Little Sheep." I had to ask my very friendly and helpful server what that meant. She explained that it is a vegetable broth, with its name taken from the company that makes it. I picked a thick rice noodle, mulling over the choices that include egg noodle, ramen, instant noodle, and udon, to name just a few. For my toppings, I had the marinated chicken and sliced brisket. Within a few minutes I was brought a steaming bowl of soup. The vegetable broth did not have a lot of depth of flavour, but went well with the noodles and toppings. The noodles were plentiful, and these thick rice noodles had the look and texture almost of spaghetti. There was also a good amount of my chosen toppings. The marinated chicken was chewy in texture but had a good flavour, while the slicked brisket was the star of the bowl. It had the perfect ratio of fat to meat, was tender, and tasted as though it had been cooked slowly with seasonings. I also could not resist trying a green onion cake. It was crispy, slightly greasy (in a good way), and tasted great. For my drink, I stuck with the green tea I was served when I was seated. For less than $20 (before the tip), I had a very satisfying and filling lunch. I definitely see myself coming here on a regular basis during the upcoming winter months.

And we also came with a very large group. Honestly they had all the reason to kick us out, but the staff took care of us regardless. Since we were late we just picked the soup broth and 5 add-on's. I got the Herb and Lamb broth. It was delicious, savory, and hearty. And for the add-on's, I picked the sliced Beef Sirloin, Enoki Mushroom, Napa Cabbage, Fried Tofu and Flat Rice Noodles. They didn't have Fried Tofu so I asked to substitute for Fried Bean Curd instead. Looking back at this now, I'm glad (and I'm sure the kitchen was too) that we only picked 5 things. AYCE would've been too much and too overwhelming with all the options there. And honestly, they gave us so much for the 5 things we ordered. It was a whole spread of meat and veggies. I was actually very impressed. Portion size was huge. I was also impressed by the service we received. It was late, but they really took care of us as patrons. It's a 4.5/5 for me. Definitely one of the best service I've received at a sit-down restaurant/food business and I wish this place success.

I had the coconut curry soup with upgraded hand pulled noodles. It was a delicious upgrade. U can get unlimited noodle refills. But I preferred the hand pulled ones. They had a really good chew. My company had the tomato based broth which tasted like added some ketchup in the soup, it was sweet and tasty. Personally I loved the coconut curry though. We finished off with those warm coconut balls which were gooey and warm and so much better than regular sesame balls. Get them. They end up being $1 each. Definitely a nice cheap way to end the meal. Portions were good. Service was stellar. And I'll definitely be back!

As our sliced meats came almost an hour after our soups served. And veggies basically came 5 min before that. Half our meal was missing sliced meats and veggies. We ordered mussels clams and oysters and we never saw any of it despite complaining. We ended up getting the oysters very last about 1.5 hours into our meal. Requests to refill waters was ignored and for 9 of us only 7 water provided! It was really weird service and maybe bc it was a large group they didn't care bc they automatically add the tip to the bill. I'll avoid this place. Service and portions have gone significantly down and the entire experience was ruined based on how the food was served. There shouldn't be such a long wait in-between meat/veggies and seafood. Not at all worth the $45 we ended up paying each for our meal because of the automatic tip for the shittiest service I've had in chinatown. Avoid at all costs! Go elsewhere.

I was dying to try the combination of hot pot and grill. The staff were incredibly attentive and prompt. Also order the fresh watermelon juice, as it helps cool you down from the hot soup and grilled items. Take advantage of the make-your-own-sauce station near the entrance. I guess if you only want hot water it's free? But who would do that?? They also have additional items you can add for a cost but we stuck to the AYCE menu. $3.25 for unlimited refills of canned pop or $8.95 for 1 pitcher of their fresh beverages. We ordered a half non-spicy pork bone broth and half house special butter spicy. You can adjust the spice level and although we asked for medium spicy, there was definitely heat to it! Once we put in our order, we went to the small sauce station to make our sauces. Not as many options as other places in town, but did the job. The broth pot came out first - a communal pot for the table, so be aware. Topped with a grill plate over top for your BBQ. The spicy butter was indeed spicy and heavy on the grease. I don't think I'd order it again. The pork was better, but although both had lots of aromatics in them, we both found them to be rather bland. The hot food options were ok. You get 1 order of enoki beef rolls per table, already cooked, and they were tasty. Didn't love the crispy pork. As for the rest, our favourites were the shrimp paste, the hot pot beef, hot pot lamb and quail eggs (already cooked and peeled). Service was incredibly attentive and friendly. The moment we had an empty plate, it was whisked away. No complaints there. Overall, it was about $90 for 2 people before tip and drinking pop. Definitely not a cheap meal. That said, service was great and the ventilation was good where it wasn't stuck to our clothes & hair (often we leave these restaurants smelling like hot pot forever). The novelty is fun with both hot pot & BBQ, but I didn't find the BBQ great. Would be better going to an actual BBQ restaurant for BBQ. For the price, the options are limited compared to other places.

Server "Jay" continues to purposely ignore me and my girlfriend (mind you on her birthday which I wanted to make a special time with) so I take her hand and make us walk out with utter disregard for the place or server "Jay". Service sucks unless you're working class white individuals or Asians.
