8-bone pork rib roast (about 10lb) after 5 hours on A Traeger grill. Amazing. A thing of beauty.

Called several meat markets looking for this cut. Harvard had one and said they'd hold it for me. When I got there they showed it to me and offered to trim it to perfection and they did. Son in law did the rest on his Traeger. His proprietary rub and about 5 hours of indirect heat. Possibly the best pork I've ever had. FYI it was about $10 per pound. And worth it.

I also tried the watermelon and ended up choosing that one, only because I've been juicing a lot and had pineapple juice at home. The food smelled amazing - but I had already eaten before going. I was worried it…read morewould be hot in the room because of several uncovered west facing windows but the a/c back there is top notch! I was worried there would it be many vegetarian options available but the menu had more than enough to choose from. I had planned to order a pizza on our visit but the pizza oven had caught fire the night before and was not operational. I decided on a baked potato with a side of mac and cheese, and combined the items to make my own special potato. The potato came with a piece of delicious corn bread. Our table had ordered some cheese curds for an appetizer and while delicious they were a little greasy. The meat eaters at my table seemed happy with their meals. The prices were a little steep (which yes I know BBQ is usually expensive) so I feel like this restaurant falls in the category of "special occasion place" rather than a restaurant we would visit regularly. We will probably be back on someone's birthday.

Overall it was a great spot for barbecue and I would definitely go back.

Amazing Stop - don't pass it up…read more SmOakies ~ WoW, some Great BBQ! My wife and I got the Fat Boy to split after driving all day coming in from the Ozarks on our summer trip out west. The chopped brisket was delicious with good texture and not too fatty, Pulled Pork, had texture but still tender and juicy with a nice skin on it! The Chicken tender brined and smokes, very tender and juicy. The Ribs had a delicious dry rub and were just at fall off the bone, not over tender at all. The ham was good but the least standout, as well as the sausage were all cooked to perfection, crispy skin and so tenderly cooked. The Slaw was a vinegar slaw that was a little heavy on the onion and celery seed, while the Baked Beans were sweet and tangy, some ketchup and mustard and I'm guessing but I taster Tamarind, delicious . The Potato Salad was absolutely lovely! ~ tasted like a mayo and mustard dressing with egg yokes? , dill pickle chunks and dill... reminded me of a deviled egg potato salad ~ WoW again. I eat BBQ all over the country pretty regularly and they was one of my Top Stops in a long while! ~ Great Job SmOkies!
