a display of meat

This place is amazing!! I've been long wanting to find a butcher in Tulsa, and thankfully my brother and sister-in-law got me a gift card to this fine establishment. I went there knowing it would cost more than the grocery store or other establishments, but when I tell you I paid more for NY or KC strips (or my in laws did) I'll tell you it was the best strip I've ever tasted or cooked, and I'm an aspiring grill master. Other than my profession it's my major passion. The butcher simply stated his price per lb, I asked what cut he does for a strip, and he simply stated "whatever you want." So, I went with 1 1/2 inch NY Strips, and he turned, grabbed a whole strip chunk pit of his walk in fridge, and he cut and trimmed the best strips I've ever had. They were almost as tender as a filet. This is my new to go primo meat spot for celebrations, and the best meat I have ever had. I can't wait to go buy some ground sirloin on Saturday. Oh, and ignore the snowflake that got offended in the comments because this man is straight forward and will give you what you want. Clearly the negative review was because this dude had no idea what he wanted.

This is the epitome of a butcher shop. A throwback to a time passed. Dave is the big butcher who quickly gets to what do you want. He then expertly cuts your order just the way you want. See the attached 2 inch rib eyes we just grilled. Want 1.5 inches, no problem. He carries fresh, never frozen chickens, spare and baby back ribs etc... The steaks taste great. Do yourself a favor and at the same time support a local small businessman. You will be happy you did.

You may beat his prices but you can't beat his meat! Best in Tulsa. Just a badass old school butcher shop.

Perfect market! The butcher asks what you want and then cuts it in front of you. Great ribeye . I'll be back.

David Hanover truly has wonderful meat, I just had what my father would say is," the best steak I ever ate".

My initial impression of the store was that it is too pricey to visit very often. Lately, I have…read morebeen enjoying some luxuries that other grocery stores don't offer. I still stock up on bargains at Costco and Sam's but I enjoy the deli and bakery at Fresh Market. They are several notches above delis and bakeries at most groceries. The employees are super friendly. This week, I had to return something and was impressed with how easy and pleasant it is to do that. I bought a bag of rotten lemons. That can happen at any grocery store. The lemons were in a yellow bag and not easy to see and they hadn't started smelling yet. I was amazed at how quick and easy the return was and how friendly the employee handling the return was. Even though Fresh Market is a little pricey, they do have specials

With the mission to bring delicious prepared meals, exceptional quality meat and seafood, peak season produce, decadent baked goods, and fresh seasonal flowers, it certainly has succeeded its mission. The high quality and specialty products unfortunately also carry with it the higher price tags. The Fresh Market is among the most expensive of the high end markets. They have an Ultimate Loyalty Experience, but the cashier couldn't tell me the actual benefits. I think it's similar to Reasor's Rewards with weekly specials. They reportedly have the Tuesday specials (to be confirmed): ground chuck and boneless chicken breast for $2.99 per pound. They also have The Little Big Meal that rotates weekly. For those interested in cooking, they have many recipes on their websites which is unique. If you love the neatness and cleanliness of Reasor's then you are going to love The Fresh Market. I cruised through the store and was thoroughly impressed. Shelves and produce were neatly stocked. Deli products and meats looked really fresh. The quality was definitely there as well as the price tags. I am just not sure if I am the target audience of The Fresh Market, definitely gearing more toward affluent people.

Fabulous! This was my second time dining here and it was perfection. We had the fried chicken and…read moredumplings and the farmer's pie along with deviled eggs. Service was spot on throughout the entire night. We started with the deviled eggs, half plain and half Chef's Choice. The Chef's Choice were the best, drizzled with chili crisp (or pickled Szechuan peppercorns) and topped with a tiny gherkin and fresh dill. The soup of the day was a cabbage and radish soup. It was interesting and very homey but I wish I had ordered the salad. I had the Novarro Farm sweet Potato Gnocchi (kale and pecan pesto, Birch Bottom Farm Georgia candy roaster, fresh chevre). I was a little hesitant about the kale pesto but should NOT have been. This dish was delicious--great garlic flavor. Would order again. The burger looked amazing and while The Hubs said it was good, he also said it needed some more spice. They had a couple of rotating beers from Heirloom--a Mexican Lager and an Italian Pilsner. I had the Water Lily cocktail, their take on an Aviation. Order it just because it's beautiful (and refreshing). The photo does not depict the deep color of it. I asked what other gin based cocktails they had on their menu. They didn't but the server/bartender offered to make me a Bee's Knees for the second round. It was delicious! The atmosphere here is casual but the food is elevated. I kept thinking this is what a French bistro would be like inside. I want to come back and shop the market. Oh, and the apple pie was excellent as well!
