Pulled Pork Smoked Chicken Tabouli Catfish Mac N Cheese
    Colby B.

Smoked Chicken, Good. Pulled Pork, Good. Catfish, Good. Taste clean, not slimy like Fish Daddy's. Mac and cheese, Good. Not just a box of Kraft Mac N Cheese. Bologna, Good. Doesn't feel like it has teeth and bones in it. Sliced Brisket, Good. Wife loved it, I don't like brisket. BBQ Sauce, Good. Bought a bottle. Tabouli, Good. Bought a pint. Or quart? Wife and I loved everything we got. Drove past it for years, now it's in the rotation!

Local spot w/ good BBQ! When visiting Broken Arrow, my husband and I stopped in at Billy Ray's for some good eats and we definitely found some here! The staff was super friendly as we walked in to seat ourselves at one of the tables. It's a small spot with a country feel. We got our orders in fairly quickly and the food came out even quicker. We got a spread of chicken tenders, mac & cheese, fried okra, fries, and a chopped brisket sandwich - everything was great, especially the tenders, brisket, & mac & cheese! Glad we stopped in!

Delicious. Got the brisket sandwich and fried okra. Went with a group of 8 which was challenging but the waitress was helpful in getting us a couple of tables together.

Omg. We came here and was NOT disappointed! I got the biggest baked potato with chopped brisket that I've EVER seen in my life!! It was super delicious too! We had never been there so they were gracious and let us try the catfish and it was delicious! It's not traditional batter. It's like a cornmeal. So it's not heavy or overpowering! Pretty small inside but super cute decor. We got there right at 11 on a Tuesday and there was a lot of open places for a group of 4 to choose from bathrooms were clean and stocked. We passed it by accident but look for the red paint! We will be back next time we are in town!!

As I walked in I was greeted and seated quickly. My waitress was very friendly and was able to give a great advice on the choice of items on the menu. 5 I ordered the two meat with ribs and catfish along with fries as my side. I did enjoy the fish as it was hot and fresh. Really it was the best item on my plate as the fries were not great at all and I only ate a couple of them. The ribs were alright but seemed as if they may have been cooked directly over the flame the whole time. 2 Just based on the service and fish I would be willing to give this place another shot but order something else to see if my experience would change the review.

Catfish, side salad, hush puppies and fries.

Catfish was hot, crispy and fresh. Tasted like actual fish and not the muddy stuff you buy frozen at the grocery store. Crispy, hot made to order. Just the way fried catfish should be! Best fried catfish in town and the hush puppies ain't bad either.

Amazing plate, brisket was a little dry but great overall

Best catfish in broken arrow!! What a great experience love the home town at home country feeling when walking in the door from California, always treated with respect, love it here!!

Haven't been to Billy Ray's in a while and was craving some 'cue so dropped by on a frigid January day. I ordered the full order Baby Back Ribs dinner with okra and tomato relish. She ordered the Catfish dinner with brown beans & their new mac 'n cheese. The ribs were a bit dry, but still had a good bite with a nice peppery flavor. The okra is breaded in house and was great and I always love their tomato relish. Her catfish dinner came with 4 fillets. They hand bread these fish before frying and they served fresh & hot. This is the best catfish in the Tulsa area. For a small restaurant they turn out some really great food. Prices are very reasonable and the service is great.

The food was about a 5 out of 10 at best. The best part of the meal was the gyro meat, It was absolutely delicious but nothing else was that great. We are huge Middle Eastern and Mediterranean food lovers so I feel like we can give a pretty good review on this. The cabbage rolls were definitely different than last time. They were heavier on the rice and didn't have as much flavor. The grape leaves were not good at all. We actually ended up spitting them out, unfortunately. The hummus was really heavy on garlic, which we love garlic, but that's not usual for hummus. The tabouli was super heavy on parsley with little to no bulgar wheat. I'm hate to have to write a bad review on this place but compared to how it was a year ago, it really has changed. I heard they changed owners, but I can't be certain about it. I also have to say it wasn't the cleanest place and they didn't have any napkins out and a lot of the tables were dirty. I think the couple behind the counter were the only ones working so I can understand that they couldn't get to the tables quickly, but it also isn't the best look when you walk into a facility that isn't kept up very well. I will usually try a place a second time, but this one was bad enough that I don't think that I will.

The hostess (she didn't say her name) had the personality of a rock. If you're a business owner, you want the host/hostess to be the gleaming face of your establishment. This hostess had no smile, no energy, and no desire to be a welcoming person. Eyore has a better personality. Now, on the flip side, Bella (our server) was a rock star. She was on top of drink refills without asking, checked on us numerous times and had an excellent personality and demeanor. Again, the food was top notch, but you really need employees that serve as a host/hostess to put on their happy face and actually act like you enjoy working there. He runs more to the tame side of food, so this was a logical choice for us. TLDR: good food, reasonable prices and really nice people. Got there around 12:45, and were seated immediately. We got menus and ordered drinks and set about making choices. My son went with the chicken and waffles, hashbrowns instead of eggs, since he doesn't eat eggs. I went with my usual diner test, the chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, cream gravy and green beans. The inside is clean, neat and cheery. Staff were busy but attentive. Food arrived quickly and was piping hot. Son's chicken and waffles were outstanding, according to him. Chicken not dry and waffles crisp on the outside and tender inside. Not sure what syrup they use, but he commented that it had almost a cinnamon flavor that he loved. The dish comes with a berry compote type dip that was quite good. Hashbrowns were perfect. Crispy on the outside and steamy soft inside. My CFS was one of the better ones I've had. Not the best, but certainly an 8/10 on all points. Plenty thick enough, nearly 1/2" and well breaded. Crust to meat ratio was good too, with only a little pullback on the meat. Brust was flavorful and not at all soggy. Potatoes are scratch made, and the gravy was both flavorful and plentiful. Green beans were slow cooked and once I salted them, they were great. CFS could have been a little more tender, as some parts definitely needed a knife to cut, but overall, a really good effort. It also came with a respectable side salad that I enjoyed a lot. Prices are reasonable, service is great and the atmosphere is typical diner, without being a greasy spoon, not that that's a bad thing at all. My part of the order ran to $18 and change with an iced tea, and for what I got, that's not bad at all.

I got the Buffalo Sauce as a dipper. The strips were perfect---tender and crunchy at the same time. The sauce was spicy and good. The mac 'n cheese was a custard recipe. It was creamy but needed a bit of oomph. I ended up putting some of the Buffalo Sauce on top of it. We tried the spicy chicken sandwich too (good flavor but not too hot to eat). Fries were good.
