Seafood fried rice
Steve N.

This place is fantastic, tuck in some forgotten corner of a strip mall. This place is located is a weird area next to the freeway. It's very easy to miss this lovely gem. The food is great. It's actually quite flavorful and not some water down and unseasonably spot. They don't stop. They go all in with their best shot, giving you only the best of the best in the layton region and the Davis County. I recommend the ramen noodles. I also like their seafood fried rice. I honestly wasn't expecting their fried rice to be this good, but I was very surprised. The experience at this restaurant exceeds my expectations. Enjoy!

My custom soup concoction was delicious!

The food tasted great! I love the variety and long list of add-on options. The server was new and we had a language barrier which caused a lag of time between our appetizers and ultimately them bringing one of our three apps after our main courses arrived, even though we didn't order the mains until after the first two apps arrived so as to avoid this from happening. We asked for extra napkins and received 2. Soup and steamed dumplings can be messy. Another server came over afterwards and said that she's new. All in all, we enjoyed our food, the comfy booth, service too despite the mixup and communication problems.

Mango boba

The service was great and the atmosphere was amazing. It was perfect for relaxing and having a quiet conversation. The food was great for the price and was so flavorful. I got a boba tea and it was delicious and wasn't overloaded with sugar but still had the nice subtle sweetness. Overall it was a great meal and experience for the price.

Vegetable Ramen (Miso Broth)

We had a lovely lunch on a Thursday afternoon. It was peaceful and quick! I absolutely loved my Vegetable Miso Ramen. My husband got the pork miso ramen & he also enjoyed it. I love the sauce available at the table. I used the chili oil (tasty & not overly spicy) with the Soy sauce (adorable container). First time here & definitely will be back!

Spicy Tantan Ramen

Haru Ramen was incredible! The food was amazing, the service was excellent. We had the Tan Tan Ramen, the Braised beef ramen, pork gyoza, and Cashu fried rice. We will definitely be coming back.

This is the best place for ramen in Layton. Ambiance is dark and quiet. Nice place to go for a quiet relaxing evening. Staff is kind. Food comes out quick. The ramen is delicious. Perfect amount of spice, pork is incredible and the noodles are soft.

We decided to try Haru Ramen for dinner since I was craving ramen on a cold wintery day. Food and Drink: 1. Tonkotsu Ramen: it was okay. We would give it a 6/10. The broth wasn't as creamy as it should have been. The portion was perfect though! 2. Seafood Ramen: this was a miss for us. We would rate this a 4/10. Some of the seafood was chewy and the broth felt like it was just water with no flavor...so just hot water. 3. We also got some hot tea which was perfect for the cold weather. This was a 10/10. Atmosphere: big space with really quiet music. It was a bit too quiet where tables around us didn't want to talk loud. Our table didn't really talk at all because we don't like having the idea that the entire place could hear us. Parking: plenty of parking in the plaza and it was easy to find. Customer Service: it was okay to good. They pretty much left us alone and only came to us to take our order, drop off our drinks, food, and check. I kind of wish they stopped by our table to check-in on us so we could tell them about the seafood being chewy.

Fried Eggrolls

The food here is great and abundant. The service was fantastic and the ambiance was nice. The restaurant inside was freezing cold. So if you come in the winter months dress warm. We ordered pork gyoza, Eggrolls, and the spicy pork tonkotsu ramen. I ordered extra noodles, the food is abundant extra noodles weren't needed. It was hot and delicious. The soup broth was fantastic and the pork was flavorful and delicious. I would definitely revisit this location!

Greatly appreciated that they were willing to accommodate me once again with my preparation changes. That said, the Unagi (eel) was cooked perfectly and absolutely fantastic! Rich and flavorful plus very filling. Beyond delicious. The Unagi Rice Bowl also comes with sesame seeds and green onions with their delicious Eel sauce and a side of wasabi and ginger. It was exactly what I needed and definitely something that I will be returning to O-Ku Sushi & Ramen in Roy for very soon! The fish is always fantastically fresh along with the other ingredients that they use in their dishes. 10/10 Highly recommend!

The service is minimal. The wait staff didn't know the menu well. The karaage isn't made with boneless chicken thighs- skip it. The rice has no taste of rice vinegar. The miso soup is slightly bitter and barely passable. On the fish side, the salmon is good. The tuna and yellowtail are decent. I'd stick with the rolls, of which there are many options. Preferably deep fried.

I loved the sauce on these. We also shared an order of gyoza. It was really hot & fresh when we received it. My boyfriend really liked these. I ordered a vegetarian roll. It was okay, not my favorite. My boyfriend ordered the 7 piece nigiri. He was a little worried because it was chefs choice, but he ended up liking it. He wasn't sure that the light colored fish was & said he would never order that if he had the choice because he loves tuna nigiri but he said it was really good. The light colored fish had a more salty taste to it. He also ordered a sushi roll, however I cannot remember which kind it was for the life of me. He liked it though.

After sleeping with a bucket on one side of my head and a garbage can on the other, this place deserves every last bad review that they will ever receive! Waited nearly two hours for a takeout order. I had absolutely zero issues with that, provided all of my detailed instructions were followed. I explicitly requested if they were going to charge me additional fees after my initial order total then to cancel the ENTIRE order! Not only was I charged additional fees to my credit card after the fact, my instructions weren't even followed! The most expensive item (especially since I was charged almost $5 extra for requesting lettuce) was the Dynamite Poke Bowl with rotten fish, rotten produce, saturated in sauce (that I explicitly requested ON THE SIDE), and most disgusting of all, warm creamy rice that was supposedly in their "homemade cream sauce". Absolutely nowhere in the description of the Dynamite Poke Bowl did it state it was going to have rice or give you an alternative option. Whatever is in that disgusting sauce should be retired and banned from the FDA! The supposed "fish" was all shredded barely there and nevermind I didn't receive the furikake with red onions that I was also charged additional for. The Kimchi was completely sour and opening the lid on the little cup you could smell the foulness. Yes, I did try a bite of everything that I ordered to leave an appropriate review. The Kurama Ebi (prawn) shows up with it's head and shell on which wasn't a big issue because I order seafood boils all the time. However, this poor prawn was all shell, no meat, and was discolored and mushy upon peeling. The Gyutan (beef tongue) was charred aplenty, but still impossible to eat because it was way too chewy and no amount of lemons were going to help it. I really was having a great day and that's why I thought I would be 3 for 3 and try this newer popular sushi restaurant and trust me, the pricey menu items certainly don't achieve the fresh experience that all of us Sushi lovers expect. Will never return and will forever be telling everyone about this horrible waste of time and money experience. And to think I actually left them a tip on top of the overcharges. Ha!

This was by FAR my worst dining experience ever! I am not even kidding you. And the fact that this…read morerestaurant was featured on "Shark Tank" and all the sharks were interested is beyond my imagination. Certainly NOT a fan of Mark Cuban after this (as if I ever was..lol... once upon a time maybe). First of all, I ordered two Cupbop's with absolutely NO rice or noodles. I wanted just straight veggies with my two meat preferences which were Koko (tender Korean beef) and at a small additional fee Korean marinated BBQ beef. I requested the spice level of 9 (as I like my dishes HOT) with the sauce on the side. I did receive two separate small sauce condiment cups for each bop. I did not receive ANY veggies! It was ALL clumped together hard white rice with barely a handful of the KoKo and beef. I even separated it out and took photos for reference so you can see how SMALL the meat portions are! I have never felt so ripped off in my life (and trust me, that's saying something)! I also ordered a side of three Mandoo (which were at least decent), but thank GOD that I requested my Cupbop's sauce on the side otherwise there would have been no sauce for those. I have been to every teriyaki grill, Korean establishment, Japanese..etc..bulgogi...this restaurant is really one that does it ALL wrong! The rice wasn't even edible and I didn't even want it, so it got tossed. Took photos of both Cupbop's meat combined and out of each bop. We will not be hearing about this chain 20 years from now, and more than likely, not ten! My receipt showed my whole order as I requested correctly. What exactly is wrong with the Layton employees? Can they not read? Do they just not care?? This definitely is NOT what was represented on Shark Tank and I'm thinking just like everyone else that gets money and fame too quickly..how QUICKLY they fall! Save your money folks. Teriyaki Grill is where it's at. Next is Q-One in the Layton mall. They at least read instructions though it's a bit too oiled down. Here though....a dumpster could've given me more meat behind McDonald's!

My now husband (he was fiancé when we went) ordered a level 8, and he said that it was the perfect spicy. He ordered 8 so I would maybe try it, and I did, and I think I had some tears. I'm kind of a wimp with spicy, but the flavor that lingered was the standout. It's hard to find that in sauces and they nailed it! The restaurant was clean and roomy and it was just overall a great experience.
