Incredible texture and flavor. Not too sweet, light but densely rich at the same time - delicious. Highly recommend the kinako flavor.

Never could score a preorder box, and instead, line up at 7:45 (earliest you can line up) and wait until opening at 9. Usually spend total 1.5 hours here after receiving the pastries. No matter what flavor the croissant is, it is consistently flaky and buttery. The classic pistachio cardamom sugar croissant is one of my favorite sweet items. Its not too sweet and the flavors are prominent. The rice roll was my favorite monthly flavor for september. The bun was pillowy and soft with meat, scallions and cilantro scattered throughout. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. There is a max 10 pastries, 3 of each pastries limit for each party. They're also able to separate pastries into different boxes if requested when ordering.

Wow...this place is just a happy beginning!…read more Yes parking may frustrate you at times, and maybe the line is a bit long...even though it moves fast, it looks intimmidating..But this place DELIVERS! They have a pink espresso machine, a pink dough mixer, and the cup lids are pink. The staff is super focused, and friendly....Greeted with smiles and great suggestions, I got to try a number of treats. (Not 10, their max limit per order-customer). The Pistachio croissant...Pretty special, I never had it with a cream filling. The little flat bread with eggplant and pomegranates and harissa drizzle...super!. Tahini chocolate.....the list goes on...The olive bread. So if you are going to make it to any part of the northern CA area, specially San Francisco (Yes, there are great bakeries around here), I would put this on the top of the list, as the preparation is all from scratch, and the unique flavors and approach to some well known treats is something one must enjoy. Oh, and on top of that, I ordered a plain espresso, and the barista managed to do it justice. So dont be on the fence on the coffee making and quality. The location is on the steeper roads that I have no idea how people deal with living here. Good job, as once you stop in the middle of the climb, you will likely spin some tire to get traction, and that is on a dry day! The bakery is among a residential area.

Early grey crepe cake- if you like earl grey tea and crepe cake this would be a strong contestant. The tea flavor was immense and I liked how the layered cream was airy and a bit foamy that makes the earl grey cream the main character of the cake. Passion fruit - really good!! The passion fruit flavor was deep and strong with real seeds in the cream. It has a very slight hint of tangy and a very well done flavor profile! Sesame basque - if you like a creamy basque cheesecake and sesame then this would be wonderful. For me, basque cheesecake usually isn't my go-to as I like something more light and airy, but the black sesame was very rich and tastes almost a bit savory. Flavor profile is a bit neutral and neither too sweet or savory. Pandan sponge cakes- pandan flavor stands out and I love how they use coconut flesh in between the layers. It's pretty creative! There's texture (soft pandan sponge cake + crunchy fresh coconut ) in this cake which is interesting, but when you cut the cake it might fall apart. I would say this cake plays more with texture and creativity and less on the perfecting the taste. Don't get me wrong it's still good! Not sure about service but my friend said she interrogated the staff so that she could select the best cakes for us :) Will Def be back !

I love that you can get individual slices instead of committing to a whole cake, which makes it so easy to try several flavors in one visit. The cakes are really pretty and have so many thin layers that each bite feels light and creamy. This is perfect if you enjoy lighter cakes. I think the Asian flavors are what make Sweet Glory stand out from a lot of other cake spots in the city. There are plenty of familiar flavors, but also combinations that you don't see anywhere else. The space is also surprisingly spacious, with plenty of indoor seating and a cute patio in the back. It's a nice place to sit down with a few slices and take your time. Great dessert spot if you want to try a few different cakes in one visit. The fact that you can order by the slice makes it especially easy to explore the menu without having to choose just one.

Ambiance: Lots of gentle light and the music is not overwhelmingly loud. The tables are spaced out fairly well allowing you to either talk to a friend while having coffee and pastry, or doing some work without noise overwhelming you. Wait time: A bit longer that usual with only one person working the register at a time despite a line forming and other workers still taking orders. Service: Friendly staff but seemed a bit overwhelmed by the line of people forming as well as some difficulty navigating the menu. I will say the girl at the register seemed new and she was doing her best and was extremely friendly despite being overwhelmed. Food: Chocolate Banana Croissant was good and had a good ratio of filling to dough. I will say the price point was fairly expensive considering the quantity of the pastry itself. Overall, ONE65 was a fun and modernesque French pastry shop with lots to offer for their customers and plenty of space for people to enjoy their morning coffee while talking to friends. I would say the price is fairly expensive likely due to the location and didn't stand out from other bakeries in the area to justify the price.

I would eat the cream by itself if they sold it that way. Good thing I don't live nearby. I only tried it because I could neither spell nor pronounce it, but my goodness was I glad I did. It was literally heaven in my mouth. Since then, I have nary turned down Kouign-Amman when I see it on a menu. But never has any tasted quite as good as the one in Sedona... Today came close when I stopped at Arsicault Bakery. The line was a little intimidating but once in line it moves quickly. 15 minutes. I love Kouign-amann for what it is and isn't. It has simple Ingredients. A classic pastry from Brittany, France, it only contains yeast dough, butter, and sugar. Bakers fold sugar and butter into the dough in layers. As it bakes, the sugar melts to create a crispy, caramelized crust on the outside and soft, buttery layers on the inside--with no fruit fillings, so the one I tried in Sedona did a modern twist on it that strayed from its traditional counterpart, which I just happened to absolutely love. The Arsicault version has an impeccably crispy, caramelized crust and buttery layers inside that are so spongy and soft. It was rounded perfection. Given that it's been 6 years since I was Layla's Bakery in Sedona I cannot with certainty say which was better: Sedona wins for modifying the traditional with added apple compote (kudos to them for that tweak), but Arsicault wins for how close it is to what the traditional kouign-amann should be. The crisp, caramelized outer layers contrast with the satisfyingly soft center. Perfection. They say Arsicault has the best croissants in San Francisco. I haven't tried many others here, but I believe from what I've had of this so far that statement is likely accurate. I am too full at present to eat the almond croissant, but will tonight to make my decision on how it fares compared to the best almond croissant I've had thus far--in Santa Barbara at Goat Tree Cafe.

I personally love lemon curd so I would definitely get this again but I'm also excited to see what the future seasonal flavors are. (3) seasonal raspberry almond croissant ($5.25) ~ can't go wrong with these flavors. The raspberry jam was inside. I usually like more filling and the amount of filling in this one was just ok. Since I'm staying in the Financial District, bakeries have to be at least walking distance. On my search I saw that "banana bread chocolate croissant"...ON MY WAY! I made it over at 930am on a Sunday after I had my real breakfast LOL. There was no line so I know I've scored. As I was ordering, the infamous croissant, I was told there were NO BANANA BREAD CHOCOLATE CROISSANTS - none available until later that afternoon which I would be well into my way back home. What a bummer. Since I was there, I went ahead and ordered the giant chocolate chip cookie which was as round and large as my face! I love cookies and this had mounds of chocolate blocks not really chip size. Good crunch and soft center with melts chocolate. This was like home baked. I was happy with this. I was intrigued by the Kouign amann which is like an encrusted with a sugar crunch, appears like a round crunchy flaky croissant filled or not filled with custard or jam. I did opt for the raspberry filled. I actually liked this too, but did it make up for not have the banana bread chocolate croissant? I don't know, but I'm not disappointed with what I ordered. I'd definitely get these again and recommend to everyone. I did have a long delay at the airport so enjoyed and consumed as I waited for my flight. The shop is smack dab at Union Square which is the perfect spot for a pastry treat. Enjoy the weather on a nice day and people watch while you're there.
