We ordered a fried seafood platter and a baked haddock from the kids menu. The fried seafood was unevenly fried and the worst were the whole belly clams. They were really soggy. The scallops and shrimp were cooked slightly better but there was absolutely no seasoning at all! A little salt in the breading might have been helpful. The kids meal haddock was like rubber. We are a travel hockey family from Texas and we brought three other hockey families and our boys to the restaurant today between games. The food was incredible and the serving staff is spectacular! Our table's order included three lobster rolls (two traditional with mayonnaise) and one warm with butter. All of the rolls were delicious and flavorful. I also had a cup of clam chowder and wish I had gotten the bowl because it was so good. It was spot on and exactly the way a New England clam chowder should taste. Mary, Dianne and Celeste are welcoming, kind, and hilarious! I am originally from the East coast and they made me feel like I was back at home. They kept us laughing through our entire meal. Though every booth was filled with customers, they have a special way of making each feel as if they are the only customer in the restaurant because of how engaging and caring they were with each table. There's a reason why this place has been around for so long...it's just that good. Initially, I hesitated to give this review five stars because it failed to deliver my first and foremost requirement: accessibility. If you are with someone who uses a wheelchair, there is a step to navigate before you enter the restaurant/diner. The step is somewhat small and would not be a problem for someone in a manual wheelchair, however, in this case, we had a power wheelchair and it was a no-go no matter how we tried (due to the chair weighing over 350 pounds.) A gentleman from the kitchen, along with a patron, noticed that we were having difficulty with access and came out to offer help, however, due to the weight and the fragility of the components in the chair, we were unable to accept their generous offer. In Harry's defense, the historical society or some blah blah blah protects or prevents them from making their location accessible to all patrons. Even a portable ramp kept on the premises would have worked fine, but there was no option for that. Fortunately, we had a manual chair in the van and switched over to that. Normally we would have looked for another place to eat, but the local reputation of this spot buffered our inconvenience. The place is small. The inside felt more like a bus, in terms of space. Nothing fancy. The waitstaff was engaging and loaded with personality. I'm guessing they had been there for years. The overall ambiance felt like the set of that 1970s television show, "Alice." You know the one that coined the expression, "Kiss my grits!" After we settled in our tiny booth, we looked at the menu and it was loaded with comfort foods that all sounded alarmingly delicious. Without going into detail, I'm going to cut to the chase: The lobster roll is second to none that I've ever experienced. I did order the Jumbo Lobster roll, so I'm not sure if that made the difference, but it was beyond the beyond. To the point, if I was going to the chair and had a last meal request, it would be Harry's Lobster Roll. Served Wormtown Brewery So Hoppy on draft! Clams were fried just right with a simple breading. Nice friendly diner! It's their 75th anniversary this year and we wish them many more. Was in Westborough last week and decided to pick up some takeout from Harry's on my way home. I ordered 2 cheeseburgers with fries and a baked haddock and scallop dinner and got fries and coleslaw for sides with it . I was told the burgers were delicious but I had the haddock and scallops which were really good but was expecting a bigger piece of fish and a few more scallops, the order came to $69 and change which I had no problem with i know food has gone up and seafood is expensive but the portion of fish and scallops was tiny and I'm guessing the burgers were $15 a piece (probably there were no prices on the website menu )so what I got for my meal was roughly $39 and for what I got was high way robbery. I have been going to Harry's for years and have always been pretty happy with there food and service but I just feel I got the short end of the stick this time read more

I've been here at around 15-20 times and it never disappoints, one of the best seafood restaurants around this part of Massachusetts. The service is always so amazing and makes me feel as if it is a home cooked meal just for me. While we understand that ordering a big order has many risks especially at a family owned restaurant like harry's our experience with the restaurant was not great at all. The service at the front was spectacular and beyond what we expected, they were very friendly and patient making jokes and being sociable with us. However, after leaving the restaurant, with our large takeout order it all went south. Even though it was takeout, food after less than 10 minutes of travel should not be that quality. The steaks were dry, multiple orders were incorrect and wrong, not matching what was written on the receipts, the onion rings were bland, and the only good thing we could say something about was the crab and lobster bisque and the lobster rolls which tasted fine and had a generous amount of lobster. However, ALL of the other dishes went unenjoyed by many people, with a negative reception of the food taste and quality being shared by everyone. Overall, the only redeeming quality of this restaurant was the service, even cutting slack for the large group order in a family restaurant, we find the food quality a nd straight up wrong and missing food items as unacceptable. read more

On the plus side The bus person was great, fast, polite, attentive,,sadly could not make the same claim about the waitress Tropical punch cocktail was decent. Clam plate was generous On the negative side Turkey club was kind of small for the $$ Belly clams were more like strips. We came to Harry's with the plan of trying their "famous," fisherman's platters, only to discover they were out of sea scallops.... offering to substitute bay scallops, which are about 1/3 of the price retail, with no decrease in menu price. That's like a steakhouse offering to substitute hamburgers for a rib steak. Like most places they are understaffed, but the waitress was far from professional. I hadn't been back to Harry's since I left Westboro in 1971. It was such a great nostalgia trip for me. I just wish I hadn't waited so long. Harry's has a very extensive menu, which makes ordering, at least for me, difficult. I opted for meatloaf, and my son-in-law got the turkey club. Both meals were excellent, decent in size, and priced right. I'm not a seafood lover, but if I was I would have gotten the lobster roll. This popular small town restaurant is located in Worcester Massachusetts. A handful of parking and popular to the natives. They have a large menu with a little bit of everything, so almost everyone and anyone can find something to consume.The only immediate downside is that they only accept cash, but of course they have an atm inside. This joint gives off pure diner vibes, a place to go for comfort food. I tried their lobster roll and it was great! So much meat packed into a roll, it's the first time the meat overpowered the bread itself, but of course I did not mind. The more meat the better! It does come with a large portion of fries and onion rings. The fries were good but the onions were a little underwhelming. I actually like bland food sometimes, but for me, the onion rings had absolutely nothing, not even salt. The clam chowder was a little sour as well. In town for college football from Winter Park, FL. Stopped in for lunch as Harry's was recommended as place where "locals like to eat". Outside and decor nothing special, but service was excellent even with new server. Servers all helped out each other. I've had lobster rolls all over New England, and this was one of the best I've had, and reasonably priced. Had to have a bite of "whole bellies", and they were sweet and light, no taste of grease. Wife had Italian sausage sub with idea of bringing some of it back to room for later. It didn't go as planned, she ate every bite. I was in the area tonight and decided to stop in for an early dinner. It appeared to be pretty busy with almost every seat full and customers waiting for to go orders. The two waitresses on staff were very kind and attentive. I did wait a minute to be seated but I could see that they were working hard and sat me as soon as they had a chance. This is our first time in Westborough and we wanted to have a good breakfast. After looking around we found Harry's which looks like a little throwback diner from the 60's. It has a very small town cafe feel with good food and decent prices for the quality and portion size. The staff was friendly, in particular our waitress Tricia was very nice and gave us exceptional service. Although it was our first time there, she made us feel like regulars. She made good suggestions from their very extensive menu and served our food quickly and with a smile. We decided on a combination of breakfast and lunch which included clam chowder. That was some of the best chowder i have eaten with lots of clams instead of a couple of clams and lots of potatoes. After our experience I have to question some of the other reviews about the bad service. I would give the food 5 stars but the service zero stars. RUDEST STAFF EVER! My group had 3 couples and when we asked for separate checks (for each couple, not individual) the server was visibly pissed off. I mean come on, it's three checks. Then when we didn't get the vinegar we asked for for the fish and chips my wife went back inside to get it. No big deal right? Accept the person she asked was rude and very put out they she dare ask for two of the tiny little plastic cups of vinegar (for 6 people!) Long overdue review of a favorite place I've been going for decades now. Down home simple diner, with warm cozy atmosphere and no frills (Liquor license fyi before I dive into what makes this place great. It's nice to be able to grab a beer or wine here, and I think many don't realize they serve alcohol). OK, so this is some of the best fresh fried seafood you'll find in mass, and certainly the best in central mass. I am not sure how they find clams that sweet, but no other place has fried clams as good as these. If you get the fisherman's platter, the scallops, shrimp and haddock are all nearly as good! I like to get their awesome tater tots and if they have the sweet potato tots, get them! When I go earlier in the day I usually like to get breakfast (I believe they serve breakfast til 4 pm). I'm almost hesitant to review this because it means the place may get even busier and I hate waiting to eat their breakfast! It's so damn good! Anyway, I get either the hash and eggs (their corned beef hash has bits of sweet carrot, very unique!) and a side of sausage links (best links I've ever had). OR....I get the Monte CRISTO! It's amazing! If you don't know, It's a sandwich with French toast as bread and ham with melted Swiss. Dip that baby in syrup and sink your teeth into heaven. I'm stunned this sandwich is not more popular everywhere. Theirs is an exercise in deliciousness! I love this place and it's a known staple in central mass. If you've never tried it you're missing out! Bonus protip: get a raspberry lime Ricky in the summer. It washes down their awesome food like nothing else! read more

We like trying new places to eat, especially seafood. We know seafood. However, what we ate tonight wasn't - I mean, very good. For our take-out order we had one fried clam strip roll and one fried scallop roll - they did not come with fries, so we ordered those, too. All for the low, low price of $43. We are very disappointed. There was absolutely no seasoning in their dredge mixture used in frying. Can you say BLAND? Sure, these reviews showcase many more stars than what we give you (it's really 1/2 a star, but Yelp doesn't give us that option). Or the option to select "0". A score of zero would absolutely mean DON'T EVEN BOTHER. Well, that's our conclusion for this restaurant. I's too expensive to eat food that has no taste. If you are in the Northbridge/Linwood area of Massachusetts, try Pirates Cove. Or, there's always George's Surf and Turf in Mendon. This was our second time coming here and it was as good as the first. We were seated quickly and our drink order was taken right away. We ordered fried clam strip plate and roll with cole slaw and fries. The strips were on the small size but were tasty and fried well. The fries were done well, slightly crispy and the cole slaw was a little moist but after stirring it up was great. The taste was great too. The serving sizes were filling and we had no problem with soda refills the parking lot is very accessible from route 9 west with plenty of room. We didn't try it this trip but we did see some good looking hot fudge sundaes which we hope to try next time read more
