If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. First of all, the cashier taking our order took HALF of our order, left to go do something else, then came back & took the second half. Walked away again, then came back to ring us up. She wasn't nice at all, & obviously did not want to be there whatsoever. I understand the need to be employed, but no one FORCES you to work there. It was pretty busy, & being a Head Server myself, I understand the pressure. I understand the overwhelming feeling but if you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen. Also touching & handling money and then going & touching the guests food?! EW. Aside from poor service, we ordered over four orders of zucchini & onion rings. They gave us ONE tiny little ranch. ONE? if you want more, it's 50c a cup. Even after spending over $60 for their food & absolute trash service. LOL, yeah right. The owner himself is very nice, & friendly. He said hello to us when we walked in which was nice of course. There is no organization in the kitchen, not one single person taking the reigns & leading the way. I highly suggest the owner hire a kitchen lead or assistant manager to get the ball rolling. The food itself is decent. Not the greatest ever. Definitely not worth $60. We like to go to this location because they do have good food, but service has to improve, this time we went through the drive thru on a sunday night around 6:00 pm, placed our order and we went to the window to pick it up, we realized that they had zero pepsi, so we told the employee at the window if he could change our diet coke for the zero pepsi, he gave us a look like if he was being bothered by it, ok so he gave us our order and my husband asked if we could also have yellow chillies, and he gave us that look again, and then with a sarcastic and rude voice he asked "anything else?" (It's not like we asked him to pay for our food!) I think that customer service is very important when you are giving a business well... business, I don't expect any royal treatment or anything but why do people in this businesses have to be rude when you are being nice to them? First minute I walk into this place the workers are already giving me a dirty look for some reason. I was about to order but I had to sit down in a waiting chair to assemble my bag as I'm doing this the lady's at the counter were continuously giving me dirty looks for no reason. Next thing I know as I'm getting my headphones out because the place is so loud and I'm on hold on the phone with my college's student services (had been for hold for over 50 minutes) the young girl working there dropped a glass ketchup bottle right next to my foot. The glass shards hit my leg and sharp pains from the glass hit my legs luckily the ketchup did not get all over my new shoes, that would have been a whole another story. However she did not apologize to me whatsoever, only apologizing to the man of her ethnic background and the bottle did not even break near him. While this occurred the girls at the counter working the cashier just laughed, what kind of place is this? Maybe because they are racist or just plain rude and mean that still doesn't justify not apologizing for glass breaking al over my legs keep in mind I'm wearing shorts because it's over 90 today. In conclusion, this location is horrible, service is horrible, I will never return to this establishment ever again. Please everyone spend your hard earned money elsewhere where the workers won't give you dirty looks and won't drop glass bottle right next to your leg and not say sorry. They also plainly discriminated me for my race.. horrible staff. Let me add I called the manager right after this and he yelled and said why would my staff do that they treat you like you are their own kids. Had the breakfast burrito yesterday. It was brought to us lukewarm. Told the waitress it wasn't hot. She stuck It in the microwave. Wow, this place has a ton of stuff on the menu! My girlfriend wanted burgers, but I wanted Mexican so she recommended this place. I'd never heard of it so we drove through and low and behold they have American, Greek, Mexican, pretty much something for everybody. We stuck with the plan, myself getting a burrito and her getting a burger. When we got home I took the burrito out and this thing was MASSIVE! And for a place that's not your typical Mexican joint the burrito was solid, plenty of steak, cheese, salsa, all that jazz. My girlfriend's burger was also huge, she didn't finish it, I snagged a couple of her fries and that were pretty good. I can't really comment on the customer service too much, which seems to be a focus of a lot of the reviews on here. But, I went through the drive thru and the girl that I spoke with was friendly and answered all my stupid first timer questions without fail. ...so the ONLY reason we've come to Harry's is to take advantage of a "Buy One Burger, Get One Free" coupon. Sounds simple enough, simple enough to bring us here anyway. Then why do I feel as though we've just been screwed? Well, what I hadn't seen until afterward were the coupon's limitations: Not only must two large drinks ($1.85 each) be first purchased, but the coupon also disallows its being used for Combo Meals. Cheeseburger Combos--which include fries and a drink (and I am sure they're not larges)--cost $5.49, by the way. If purchased separately--Cheeseburger ($2.95), Fries (large, $1.85), Soda (large, $1.85)--your meal jumps to $6.65. What's funny is that although our bill (with our coupon's Free Burger) came to $10.95, we only saved 3 cents, as two Combos would have been a very similar $10.98. Our coming here, then, for the sole reason to save a few bucks for a couple marginal burgers (just as we'd expected) became laughable. Slippery Harry's slippery coupons... It's okayyyy... being in california, there is competition when it comes to food.. many restaurants bringing their A game to the table.. Harry's quality of food has been dropping below average. The carnesada cheese fries were terrible! Meat was cold, fries tasted old.. ordered this twice in different days thinking maybe they had a bad day.. nope.. same bad taste. Disappointed. Honest Review! About 20 years this place was once a McDonald's, when all of a sudden it was closed down. I would come to this location after school back in 94, and many people that worked there went to rancho. The place is now Harrys and has a great combination of different styles of food, the place has excellent customer service and Spanish is not needed to get what you want. So we had an Entertainment coupon for a BOGO burger good at any of their three locations. We had one expiring at the end of this year, and a new one in our new book. We went to the location on Beach first, and they informed me that it was only for a burger. I am aware, but it does say equal or lesser value. So, I ended up getting my husband a bacon burger and I got myself a regular burger. I asked for an order of fries (to split) and a large drink. She informed me that she had a better deal for me. Buy a burger and a large drink, get a burger free. Okay.... same deal I suppose? She gave me my coupon back. The order came, but no fries. Oh well. We didn't really need them anyways but that was not the point. So, we decided to give this location a shot. I got it to go. I brought up the coupon when the cashier stared at it, and sighed, and was trying to motion someone to come over. "I haaaatteeee thhheeesssee!!!" she whined like a kid while waiting for help. Um, okay, but your business offered them so it isn't really my problem. A girl came over and I got the same response. "Um, this is only good for a burger." I am well aware, so I asked if I could pay the difference. It makes sense. It says BOGO hamburger, but I am not sure why it says of equal or lesser value if it's JUST for the regular hamburgers only. They allowed me to order my husband's with bacon, after repeating what he did not want on it three times. I added avocado on mine and repeated what I did not want on it twice. I ordered two small fries as well. I did not get a number. I do not know if this is normal with to go orders or if it was my luck continuing. Finally someone called out, "Two burgers, two fries!" and I got it. I guess anyone could have gone and taken it. After all of that the burger was mediocre. The other location it at least it tasted really good still. This one, not so much. I will come back and try some other items and maybe go to the other location for a burger again, unless I feel like dealing with this interesting crew and see if the burger tastes better. If I use my other coupon I will plan on a hamburger which is just fine and I will get my usual speech when I go to add my husband's bacon. read more

I don't think the term Omnomnom gets used enough. I stopped by here after finding out my favorite breakfast place closed. I tried the Harry's Specialty omelette which includes a little bit of everything, veggies, cheese, sliced sausage and do yourself a favor and get the home style fries! dont get the usual hash browns. The home style fries really aren't fries at all, but instead red potatoes, grilled onions and seasoned well. these are awesome you need to have them. During busy hours there can be a line of cars and the parking lot is full, but its for a good reason. The food is good! Stop by and give it a try, its worth it! Omnomnomnom read more

This was just ok for our burger, fries, onion ring drive thru service. The best item we've ordered here so far is the Burger Special (huge, can be shared). The pastrami sandwich is also good. It was big enough to last me 2 meals. I would not recommend the fried zucchini, which was burnt on the outside & soggy on the inside. This restaurant has way too many things going on. They do breakfast, they do burgers, they do seafood, they do sandwiches, they do Mexican food....and even KABOBS! They're too focused on having a variety of menu options that they've failed to specialize in anything. My boyfriend invited me here because I was picking him up from a mechanic shop next door. I got a bacon, sausage, and egg burrito and he got the steak and eggs. Though we paid just under $20 for our meals and drinks, neither were "delicious." My burrito was made on a weird, orange colored tortilla and there wasn't too much flavor...I honestly could have made that at home, but better. My boyfriends steak and eggs was horrific. The steak had fat everywhere and just looked grey. He didn't really enjoy his meal either. Also, our unsweetened iced teas had a gross after taste. We drink a lot if unsweetened tea from other places but this was by far the worst I've ever had. The atmosphere was nothing special. The place was a little loud and there was an old man in the booth next to us that seemed like a regular just by the way he talked to the staff....he was just obnoxious and annoyingly recounting family arguments/issues and f-bombing all over the place. This is a staple for anyone attending Rancho Alamitos High School. It's in perfect walking distance to go after school just to dine out with your friends. The food is okay.
