This was a decent airport meal. Not worth what they were charging, but decent. The service was good, so I do appreciate that. Our server made sure we all had something good to drink pretty fast. We got our meal Order in pretty quick, and it didn't take too long to get our food. The salads were underwhelming. The salmon was small, but cooked well. The chicken strips were my favorite item that we got. Great service, decent food.

Always a favorite stop of mine at IND and the reason I choose to arrive early to the airport for dinner if I have an evening flight. Ask for the special slider sauce with the burger and fries! Perfectly executed burgers, always cooked to temp...unlike other places at the airport where you have no option but well done and dry. Bartender staff is friendly and fast.

    Must have - shrimp cocktail!

My coworkers were right, you got a try the shrimp cocktail if you like a spicy horseradish in the cocktail sauce! It's perfectly spicy and the shrimp are a nice size. Great service and an upscale vibe while still being in the airport.

First, the restaurant is cute, reminiscent of the 1930's decor. Second, our waiter, Aaron, was great, took our order right away and was very accommodating, and checked on us frequently. Third, the food was really good and reasonably priced for an airport restaurant. We were not expecting to fly thru Indianapolis, so this was a bright spot for two weary travelers running on very little sleep due to so many delayed and missed flights. If we are ever at the IND airport again, we would dine here again.

Shrimp Cocktail. No whining about the horseradish heat!

I arrive early for my shrimp cocktail time! Great bar service team. Brittany was in charge during my time. The Shrimp Cocktail is the best, however the sauce didn't punch me in the face this time (am I adapting to it?). The burger was a perfect medium temp. You can t beat the combo deal of small shrimp cocktails and sliders. Awaiting the next customer visit in Indy!

Harry and Izzy Slider combo. 2 sliders,3 cocktail shrimp (spicy cocktail sauce!!) and a house salad. Loved it!!

Good food for an airport! I had the Harry and Izzy combo ($33) - 3 cocktail shrimp, 2 filet sliders and a house salad. Shrimp cocktail sauce was incredible! If you like horseradish, this is IT. I liked it so much, I bought a bottle to take home. Sliders were good but way undercooked. Ordered med rare and they very rare, blood red majority of the meat. I had a flight to make or I would have sent them back. I took them to go and cooked them on the grill when I got home, perfect! Wait was prompt and friendly, food was slow to come out. Had to take it to go. Average interior, airport-ish, was clean. Will return when in Indy.

Yelp Fam! It's me again! I've been to the airport more times this year than I'd like to admit, but I'm grateful for the adventure. Today, we're back in Indiana, but this time I'm reviewing Harry & Izzy's at the airport. I've seen this restaurant several times during my travels to Indiana, and each time I told myself I was going to try it. Well, that day finally came, and I did! I grabbed some food at the airport and took the rest home to enjoy for dinner (don't you dare judge me... lol). This review will be pretty quick. I opted for takeout and sat at my gate--the area is always a bit crowded, so I wanted more room. I took a look at the menu, and as much as I wanted to order seafood and steak (because I love a good meal, chile), I opted for the St. Elmo Prime Rib Sandwich. It was delicious! I'm not a fan of cold fries, so I ate those and saved the sandwich for when I got home. The service was amazing and attentive. Even in the short time I was there, they made me feel like a welcomed guest. I definitely recommend trying this place out. When I'm back in Indiana--and I know I will be--they'll see me again to try more items on the menu!

Stopped here before a flight to nyc to kill some time, If I am in the terminal of Harry and Izzy's I have to stop, the service was great! Friendly but not overwhelming, which I love. I had a tasty espresso martini! Which was smooth but not a dessert which is what I look for in an espresso martini. To eat I enjoyed some sliders! Which were cooked just how I asked! If you have the chance to visit the airport or the outside locations, make sure to do so!

Wow- huge portions and giant chunks of lobster in the lobster bisque. Fast and friendly service. Price is a little higher, but it's worth it for quality. Also, charging areas available.

I always make it a priority to stop by Harry & Izzy's for pre-flight noshes when I'm at the Indy Airport! I appreciate having high quality food options when I'm traveling, making the beginning of every trip feel a little more special. And several small options like fillet sliders and shrimp cocktail can always scratch an itch. The service is always quick when you need to catch a flight and relaxed when you have some time to kill. And hats off to their interior design team for bringing the ambiance of their flagship restaurant and transporting it to the airport!

Harry & Izzy's is actually a decent restaurant option at Indianapolis International Airport. I wasn't floored in any way but I wasn't disappointed either. We started off with some Sun King beers on tap (Wee Mac and cream ale) and 4 shrimps in the famous St. Elmo's cocktail sauce. My nose hair still hasn't forgiven me. Then our main dishes came out: Steak burger w/ fries and a fried chicken slider. The burger was good, I've had better but then again had worse. The chicken slider was what was underwhelming, again just ok. However, I thought the fries was what popped the most. Traveling is what it is but I'd eat here again no problem. The staff was great and we even got to see a rainbow as we ate. All in all this was good Airport food and hey, sometimes you just want a cocktail or a beer which they have. Safe travels y'all!!!

Do they sell the bottles of cocktail sauce "to go" at the airport location?

Not sure if the restaurant keeps bottles for sale in stock, but the Fountain Square Market next door usually has bottles available

Although they have options before you enter through security, it is mostly just fast food junk. The Indiana Pacers Courtside Club isn't fast food, but they kind of serve the same junky fried bar food. It's easy for me to just pick up a burger from McDonald's, but sometimes I want some quality and a touch of social interaction. Courtside Club to the rescue! Admittedly, for a while I had a really negative impression of this place. My first visit I ordered their fish and chips and for over $20, I got fish that seemed similar to those frozen battered cod filets from Costco and fries. I would recommend against ordering this dish. My last visit was a game changer though, I decided that I should play to the region's strength and go with their tenderloin sandwich. As someone from the south, I have a new fond respect for the tenderloin sandwich that I did not have before this experience, this was so good. The pork itself was the size of a manhole cover, you'd need a couple of buns to cover for the pork. But even though the pork was big, it was still fried to perfection and crispy, but juicy on the inside. Not only that, but the toppings were super complementary to the sandwich, even the mayonnaise! Each bite, I got some of the delicious pork, but it was balanced with some fresh veggies and the bun held it all together. This was an awesome sandwich. Yes, the Indiana Pacers Courtside Club has airport prices, and yes, their food is heavy bar food. However, it is a decent spot to chill at before a long day of travel. If you go into it with low expectations and a craving for pork tenderloin, then you'll make it through your busy schedule!

The AVG is definitely a neighborhood tavern. It's cozy and very laid back with high top tables. I ordered an Old Fashioned but mixed drinks weren't really on offer unless it was something like rum and coke. I had a beer. It was fine. We were there for about an hour and a half. I would definitely return. The vibes were slow paced. We moved on to The Checkered Flag. Wowza!! It was a Thursday night but the place was hopping. We were joined by another friend with plans to have a bite to eat. The menu is unbelievable. So much to choose from. We were kind of boring because 3 of us chose the same thing and the other two chose the same item. Two had the pork tenderloin. Both agreed it was excellent. Three of us had the BBQ Pork spud. It's a giant baked potato with butter, a good spread of pimento cheese, moist pulled pork, BBQ sauce, coleslaw and green onions. It was fantastic. Normally the pork can become a bit dry. This was not the case. Cooked perfectly. I was able to order the Old Fashioned. They apologized because they were out of oranges but I was fine. It was a very good drink. There happened to be two musicians performing. I was quite impressed. This tavern was very very impressive. We all agreed to return Our final stop was Herrmann. It's a small brewery tucked away off a quiet street. We were offered several tastings of the beers on offer. We were all able to find something to our liking. I had a porter. There are tables for four spread around the seating area. It's comfortable and definitely a neighborhood haunt. All three places were definitely neighborhood taverns. The Checkered Flag was hands down the best! Indy has so much to offer!
