The food was good. Ambiance was good as well. I sat by the window and looked out onto the ramp. With all that being said the greeters are rude. I stood there for quite some time until a line formed behind me. Two women stood to the side arms crossed in front of the kitchen and watched the line grow. Eventually she came to the podium and said one? And proceeded to walk away and place the menu on the table and disappeared. That alone is enough for me to spend my money elsewhere. No greeting, no customer service, NOTHING.
I arrived at the airport and made it through security with plenty of time for real food before a long flight. Everything was served perfectly.The steak was so tender. It was a great place to relax before take off.
This was a decent airport meal. Not worth what they were charging, but decent. The service was good, so I do appreciate that. Our server made sure we all had something good to drink pretty fast. We got our meal Order in pretty quick, and it didn't take too long to get our food. The salads were underwhelming. The salmon was small, but cooked well. The chicken strips were my favorite item that we got. Great service, decent food.
Always a favorite stop of mine at IND and the reason I choose to arrive early to the airport for dinner if I have an evening flight. Ask for the special slider sauce with the burger and fries! Perfectly executed burgers, always cooked to temp...unlike other places at the airport where you have no option but well done and dry. Bartender staff is friendly and fast.
Service was ssssslllllooowww. Beer was good- try the Sun King. Cali salad was huh and delicious. It was a holiday, but I would not choose this restaurant if I was in a hurry.
My coworkers were right, you got a try the shrimp cocktail if you like a spicy horseradish in the cocktail sauce! It's perfectly spicy and the shrimp are a nice size. Great service and an upscale vibe while still being in the airport.
First, the restaurant is cute, reminiscent of the 1930's decor. Second, our waiter, Aaron, was great, took our order right away and was very accommodating, and checked on us frequently. Third, the food was really good and reasonably priced for an airport restaurant. We were not expecting to fly thru Indianapolis, so this was a bright spot for two weary travelers running on very little sleep due to so many delayed and missed flights. If we are ever at the IND airport again, we would dine here again.

Good food for an airport! I had the Harry and Izzy combo ($33) - 3 cocktail shrimp, 2 filet sliders and a house salad. Shrimp cocktail sauce was incredible! If you like horseradish, this is IT. I liked it so much, I bought a bottle to take home. Sliders were good but way undercooked. Ordered med rare and they very rare, blood red majority of the meat. I had a flight to make or I would have sent them back. I took them to go and cooked them on the grill when I got home, perfect! Wait was prompt and friendly, food was slow to come out. Had to take it to go. Average interior, airport-ish, was clean. Will return when in Indy.
Yelp Fam! It's me again! I've been to the airport more times this year than I'd like to admit, but I'm grateful for the adventure. Today, we're back in Indiana, but this time I'm reviewing Harry & Izzy's at the airport. I've seen this restaurant several times during my travels to Indiana, and each time I told myself I was going to try it. Well, that day finally came, and I did! I grabbed some food at the airport and took the rest home to enjoy for dinner (don't you dare judge me... lol). This review will be pretty quick. I opted for takeout and sat at my gate--the area is always a bit crowded, so I wanted more room. I took a look at the menu, and as much as I wanted to order seafood and steak (because I love a good meal, chile), I opted for the St. Elmo Prime Rib Sandwich. It was delicious! I'm not a fan of cold fries, so I ate those and saved the sandwich for when I got home. The service was amazing and attentive. Even in the short time I was there, they made me feel like a welcomed guest. I definitely recommend trying this place out. When I'm back in Indiana--and I know I will be--they'll see me again to try more items on the menu!
Stopped here before a flight to nyc to kill some time, If I am in the terminal of Harry and Izzy's I have to stop, the service was great! Friendly but not overwhelming, which I love. I had a tasty espresso martini! Which was smooth but not a dessert which is what I look for in an espresso martini. To eat I enjoyed some sliders! Which were cooked just how I asked! If you have the chance to visit the airport or the outside locations, make sure to do so!
When at IIA and waiting for your delayed flight because United Airlines is more dysfunctional than US politics, you grab lunch at Harry & Izzy's... Great sister restaurant of the legendary St. Elmo's... Harry & Izzy's offers a smaller menu, but still has the famous shrimp cocktail, good selection of steaks, sandwiches, salads, and sides. As usual the service and food were excellent... Def a must stop when flying out of IIA (especially when waiting on a United Airlines flight that is almost guaranteed to be delayed). read more
Had a few hour layover and took a look here and thought wow, this looks nice so gave it a try. Wasn't super hungry so sat at the bar , got a beer and looked at the menu. Had steak this week so opted for the clubs sandwich with green beans instead of fries trying a healthy option!! First, watching the bartenders, these ladies were sharp!! Real sharp! Like a steakhouse sharp and waited for the food. Got this gorgeous large dish a perfect club and some nicely seasoned fries. This was really good! Only $20 at the airport , great service, drank a couple beers and for $50 at the airport, I would go here outside the airport!! Very impressed! The service, the quality of food,price points really was impressed and satisfied . The steaks I saw looked great as well, so if in concourse A right in front of TSA, try this. You won't be disappointed! Highly highly recommend!!! read more

Harry & Izzy's is actually a decent restaurant option at Indianapolis International Airport. I wasn't floored in any way but I wasn't disappointed either. We started off with some Sun King beers on tap (Wee Mac and cream ale) and 4 shrimps in the famous St. Elmo's cocktail sauce. My nose hair still hasn't forgiven me. Then our main dishes came out: Steak burger w/ fries and a fried chicken slider. The burger was good, I've had better but then again had worse. The chicken slider was what was underwhelming, again just ok. However, I thought the fries was what popped the most. Traveling is what it is but I'd eat here again no problem. The staff was great and we even got to see a rainbow as we ate. All in all this was good Airport food and hey, sometimes you just want a cocktail or a beer which they have. Wow- huge portions and giant chunks of lobster in the lobster bisque. Fast and friendly service. Price is a little higher, but it's worth it for quality. Also, charging areas available. read more
Fantastic Airport food! IND is voted as one of the top airports, and the food options have to be part of the equation. If stopping through IND, grab a local beverage, or at least a Elmo Cola and Shrimp Cocktail. You won't be disappointed. We stopped before our flight and got Filet Benedict and it was tasty! Never had one before and will definitely get again. It wasn't busy, and you seat yourself. Prompt service, and quick turnaround for food! Great venue, good for people watching too! read more

I always make it a priority to stop by Harry & Izzy's for pre-flight noshes when I'm at the Indy Airport! I appreciate having high quality food options when I'm traveling, making the beginning of every trip feel a little more special. And several small options like fillet sliders and shrimp cocktail can always scratch an itch. The service is always quick when you need to catch a flight and relaxed when you have some time to kill. And hats off to their interior design team for bringing the ambiance of their flagship restaurant and transporting it to the airport! read more
Do yourself a favor when you are flying out of Indianapolis - get to the airport early enough to get through security and make a stop at Harry & Izzy's for a pre-boarding meal. I have a 7:30am flight. I arrived early. 45 minutes to get thru security. I'm still good on time. I watched people running and standing in long lines at coffee shops. But I headed to Harry and Izzy's. I ordered a steak egg and cheese slider with a cup of Hubbard & Craven's coffee. I sat in a comfortable seat, watched the sunrise over the airplanes at their gates, and listened to good music. That sandwich is amazing. I don't eat a lot of meat, but when I do, I want it to be good. This sandwich is just that - good - actually better than good . I always stop at this Harry & Izzys airport location anytime I'm in Nap town because the shrimp cocktail does not disappoint. Anytime you need to clear your sinus try the special horseradish. Owned by Paton Manning and infused with so much Indy charm. They have a decent wine and beer list and Eric and Tatiana are amazing at the bar. The food is very pricey, but very good. I travel through IND on a regular basis and always stop by Harry & Izzy's for the Shrimp Cocktail and the Steakburger. I haven't been disappointed yet! The service is great and the ambiance is the best you can find at the IND airport. read more

Server Morgan was excellent. The espresso martini was good but missing the telltale signature beans.... The $18 four (4) piece shrimp cocktail was good but overly pricey and super smothered in horseradish sauce. The steak slider was rather plain (no cheese or onions or mushrooms or any other accoutrements) and NOT medium rare. The chix slider with a single pickle slice was much tastier even with the sweet honey mustard. read more
Great for a Pre-Flight Bite I was at the airport about to catch my flight back home. Luckily enough I had a delay and had time to grab a bite before my flight. I looked around for a few places to eat and settled on Harry and Izzy's mostly due to its reputation. Since I had a little more time, I settled on something that I knew would come out fast. My Meal on this visit, Beer Lobster Bisque The Wedge The ber was a little flat (see pic ) but cold, and the soup came out pretty fast. I enjoyed the Bisque and although through my travels I have had better, this one was okay, and great if you're in a hurry to catch a flight. The Wedge was as you can imagine, a wedge of lettuce, sprinkled with bacon, with chopped tomatoes and served with their creamy gorgonzola dressing. I admit there was a bit too much dressing for my taste so I f I ever have this again I will ask for 'light on the dressing'. The positive take on Harry and Izzy's airport location is...If you're at the airport and getting close to boarding, order the easy-to-make things on the menu and you'll be okay. if you have time then order something more elaborate. The food was good even though it was busy, and I had enough time to get to my gate to catch my flight back home. read more

What a unique dining experience at the Indianapolis International Airport. It's not often(or ever), airport food is edible, let alone, regular restaurant quality. Harry & Izzy's has now set the mark high for quality food in an airport. My server, Kristi R, was the best. Informative; attentive; and friendly. She took the time to chat while still taking care of her other customers. Much appreciated. I had the famous shrimp cocktail and two sliders(one steak filet & on chicken breast) all the food was as good as sitting at St Elmo's downtown. The vibe in the restaurant was chill yet elegant. It will become my go-to airport dining spot when flying in and out of Indy. read more

Harry & Izzy's is usually not my first choice but it was the best option for the Indy airport. The bartender definitely gave me my monies worth on the St Elmo Coke which was perfection as usual. Unfortunately if you're use to Harry & Izzy's fairly decent sized menu this one is quite condensed, but still offers some favs if you love the shrimp cocktail. I ordered the burger with all the topping and it was pretty tasty! I'm not really much of a burger fan but with how long our delay turned into I needed a little more substance to last the day. The fries were crisped to perfection and the peppery Smokey BBQ sauce the waiter brought out paired to perfection. If you're in the Indy airport and want something quick give them a try you won't be disappointed. read more

Not sure if the restaurant keeps bottles for sale in stock, but the Fountain Square Market next door usually has bottles available
