The morning coffee lines were too long at the Indy airport, so I opted for an Espresso Martini at 1933 Lounge. I sat at the bar and watched the planes fly out in the misty morning. Sara, the bartender, made the espresso fresh. The martini was good and not overly sweet. It went down easy. Too easy. The restaurant is THE upscale restaurant/bar inside Terminal B. 1933 is a member of the Indy-based iconic St. Elmo's franchise. You know that you will get impeccable service and the finest foods at any of the St. Elmo's locations. Rock music plays overhead. The seating is comfortable. What a great way to start a vacation. I actually got here a little before 10:30am and they won't serve them before then. I also had an $18 breakfast sandwich. It was very good. No where at the airport is going to beat this restaurant. I have been wanting to try this place, and since I was traveling out of concourse B, it was like the universe was telling me I had to go. I was able to sit right at the bar, and I started with a Bloody Mary! It was very savory and good, and had a salad of shrimp and an olive! For food I went with the steak eggs Benedict, with asparagus that was so tasty! I loved it! To finish I had a very smooth expresso martini! All around delicious meal and beautiful space! We ended up with a two hour delay over the thanksgiving holiday and used it as an excuse to check out the new 1933 outpost location at the airport. They did a great job on the design of the space. It gives visitors a solid taste of the original 1933 lounge- a spot where I've enjoyed too many filet sliders with horseradish and Elmo Colas. This location features a breakfast, lunch and dinner menu as well as some shareable plates ideal for a snack. We had one of the breakfast sliders, the classic eggs Benedict with asparagus, a side of fruit and Hasbrowns. All of the dishes were good- my only complaint is that the Benedict came with only two asparagus spears- admittedly, I was really looking forward to a veggie serving with my breakfast. There is a "U" shaped bar in the middle of the space, and a fair amount of tables in the space as well. The Caesar was crisp and well dressed without being drenched and the filet was a perfect medium rare. Note you will not receive a steak knife since it's past TSA, but the filet was so tender it didn't need it. The horseradish mashed potatoes were warm, cozy, and had a little zip from the horseradish. I cannot tell you how excited I was to see that there was a Saint Elmo steakhouse in the airport! I used to work there in College and I have very good memories. Their combination dinners seem like a great value and you get a little of everything you want which for me included shrimp cocktail, steak sliders, and a Caesar salad. $33 but included a lot. The drinks are extremely strong but expensive, but you only needed one. 1 Quick professional service even in this setting. Fabulous environment including the tuxedos. read more

Indianapolis International has become one of my favorite airports and 1933 Lounge feels like a fine new addition to spots for settling in while waiting for a flight. After a recent stay in Bloomington and Indianapolis ( after having attended "Carb Day" at the Speedway ) we had plenty of time before our flight and a glass of wine seemed in order. We picked a small table adjacent to the concourse and were promptly greeted by our friendly server. Since we weren't terribly hungry we opted for appetizers and a glass of red. My wife enjoyed the Wedge Salad while I decided on just an order of fries. Both were good, though the serving of ries could have been a bit more plentiful. For wine, I chose the Row 503 Pinot Noir while my lovely wife decided on the Greenwing Cabernet Sauvignon. Even with airport premium pricing the pours were pretty generous and both were fine. Our server was both really friendly and attentive, coming to check on us every so often. The little bistro table was a comfortable spot to sit, relax and people-watch. 1933 Lounge is a worthy alternative to sitting by the gate. There is a bar area if you'd rather do that than sit "outside". The bar looks to be a great spot as well. We'll be going back on future visits. Recommended. read more

She was very engaging and friendly, which are nice qualities to have first thing in the morning! She was very helpful with the menu and asked all the right questions for being an airport restaurant, where people might be in a time crunch. Food came out piping hot, fresh and it was quick! That breakfast sandwich was amazing! The croissant was so very good and slightly toasted on the inside before they assembled the sandwich. The bacon was incredibly flavorful, perfectly cooked, and so good! But those hash browns were some of the BEST I've ever had! Generally, airport food is mediocre and overpriced, served with a side-order of indifference. My lunch at 1933 Lounge was a happy exception to that. I got a burger and fries - nothing complicated, but it was pretty darn good, and because I arrived way early, I treated myself to a glass of wine. Might I say that I deserved it. As for ambiance: It felt like I was eating in a restaurant. Real silverware. Real plates. Not stryro-plastic. But the best part of my lunch was the service. Shout out to Cadence for that. Looking at the other reviews, I notice that several people mentioned good service. The management must be doing something right - hiring good people who take good, friendly service seriously. I enjoyed it! I had a relatively short time between arrival and boarding and 1933 happened to be right next to my departure gate. I got to be seated right next to a huge window with a view of the airport so if you're an avgeek like me, you'll love this place. The overall design of inside is also really nice and stylish. I had two of the filet sliders and they were super tender and delicious, and while the horseradish sauce wasn't my favorite, that's mostly a personal thing and if you like horseradish you'll like it. The fries could have been better for the asking price ($7) but they were fine. Service was pretty good. Nothing really stood out but my servers were polite and efficient and proactive which is of course great. Overall, most of the menu is pretty pricy so if you're looking for something higher end, I'd recommend. The sliders and their burger were about the only things in my price range. I can't compare it to St Elmo's home restaurant (never been) but I was pretty happy with my experience. Also you pay at the table and more restaurants here in the US should do that. read more

TLDR; Will not be back and stick to Harry & Izzy's in the A side. We travel frequently out of IND B Gates and over the years have consistently enjoyed Harry & Izzy's after clearing pre-check on the A side prior to our flight. We were excited to see they opened their sister restaurants on the B side. We had ample time (1.5 ish hours before boarding) and told a 10 min wait for table of 2 - no big deal. The host and hostess were both very friendly and welcoming. Server was at our table within 5 mins and took drink orders. Drinks took some time but it was busy (5:45p on a Friday). Put in our order when drinks delivered - corn dogs, mashed potatoes, 2 'med rare' filet sliders, side of fries - pretty simple. Told 25 mins on food - no big deal. 45+ mins later our drinks were dry (would have had another), nearly out of water, hadn't seen our server but food arrived. We asked food runner for our server. Corn dogs were okay, fries and mash potatoes - mid as my kids would say. Took a bite of one slider and it was 'well done', gray and cold. Server shows up and inform her of issue and told her we don't have time to wait for a redo and she offered to get the manager. Server returns with my requested water refill and states the manager is too busy fixing kitchen issues to talk to me. We split the okay corn dogs and mid taters. Not mad, just disappointed. Oh, and still hungry. Will not be back and stick to Harry & Izzy's per usual. read more

A good cut of prime rib is rare to find, but it was found at the 1933 lounge. It's a small lounge and seating was somewhat hard to find, but got lucky. read more

We had the 1st Class with the Shrimp cocktail, filet sliders and lobster cargot. We're from Florida and we're used to good seafood, but this was top notch+!! We were promptly seared and our server greeted us with a big smile immediately and took our beverage order. We appreciated the fact that they serve Hubbard & Cravens locally roasted coffee. It was great! Food service was prompt and very friendly. Food came out hot and well presented. I ordered the HC Breakfast Sandwich ($18) and my husband ordered the Breakfast Slider ($8). The breakfast sandwich with hash brown potatoes was a generous meal. The hash brown patty was under seasoned but tasty, the catsup cup that came with the hash browns had a skin that had formed on its surface and must have been filled very early in the morning or yesterday, and the sandwich had a generous amount of bacon and cheese with two eggs in a very greasy croissant due to being heated on griddle. Unfortunate for something that is a handheld food item. My husband's slider was comically small and he complained to me that there was little cheese. I ended up giving him half of my sandwich. I will also mention that the woman seated at the table next to us ordered the Lobster Benedict and at $25 I do not think it was worth it. The English muffin was not toasted, first of all - a sacrilege in the Benedict realm! The size of each egg that topped the meager amount of lobster on each muffin was the size of a quail egg. So small. And she and I both were not sure where the asparagus was!? Anyway, if you are a Benedict lover like me, don't bother getting it at 1933 Lounge. Over all, we would eat here again when traveling, but would try something else or at least be all the wider for our experience. read more

This place is honestly terrible and a disservice to the St. Elmo/1933 Lounge brand. Is it even operated by St. Elmo or is it operated by the company that operates the other restaurants in the airport? Food quality is lacking, but still carries St. Elmo prices (the ribeye I ordered was NOT a prime cut, but they charged prime prices). It's a better vibe than the Champs and whatever in-between restaurant that was there. But the price/quality ratio is just way out of whack. I know it's probably weird to leave a review for an airport restaurant, And it's also kind of weird that we landed in Indianapolis for vacation and decided to have a bite here before we headed into town. We were in the air during lunch time and were starving by the time we got off the plane. The ambiance and vibe in here is very cool, classy retro. They serve a lot of the same things as famous St. Elmo's steakhouse downtown (same restaurant group also includes Harry and Izzy's). Our server Robert was fantastic. We were in a good mood, eating good food and excited to start our vacation. We didn't try the infamous shrimp cocktail because we have reservations at St. Elmo's later, but we did try the Indiana-distilled bourbon to kick off our trip. If we ever fly through this airport again we will definitely come here, it was a great vacation memory read more

I looked at the posted reviews of this restaurant and thought it would be a good choice. I'm sorry that I was wrong. I had plenty of time to sit and enjoy a breakfast before my flight so I ordered the Farmers Plate. Eggs, bacon or sausage, hash browns and toast. What could go wrong? The eggs were good as long as you like them scrambled because you don't have a choice. The bacon was OK but I had to place it on a napkin to soak up the grease dripping off of it. The toast was served with 1 single packet of jam, had a splash of butter on one (of 4) pieces and the server was nowhere to be seen to request more. The "hash browns " were completely uneatable. They were fried to a single, disgusting, crusty chunk of something that I couldn't cut through with a knife. I asked the server about what it was and she said it was cooked with flour and eggs(?). To her credit she offered to have another serving made for me but honestly I was a bit grossed out by the first attempt and didn't want more. I don't normally write such harsh reviews but, I'm sorry to say, this was bad from the start and didn't improve. Messed up my order...TWICE. Was told by server that they'd "take care of it." That's universally understood that they would take that item off the bill (fair since I ended up not being able to eat it). And they didn't. There it was in my bill after they'd run my card.
