We stopped in at this Chili's when we were in town visiting relatives. We all went here on a Saturday evening. We waited about 45 minutes, but that's OK. There were nine of us and the food was good. I must say I got the chipotle, chicken tenders and fries and macaroni and they were all really good. My wife got chicken bacon ranch Quesadilla and it was good as well. Chili's has always been a "go-to" for me.... but after the longest weekend of moving and building furniture, it's a MUST!! I went there with my fiance when there was absolutely no way we were cooking dinner that night!!! I went in craving their burger, but when we arrived there were signs on the door saying "no beef!!". It must've been a busy weekend!! That didn't change my mind though, there are plenty of other tasty options to choose from. Usually, I am a "3 for me" person who gets chips & salsa, a diet coke, and a burger. But this time, I thought maybe I should skip the chips so I could enjoy my main meal a little more. I ended up ordering the chicken sandwich with fries as my entree and a salad as my starter. It was the right move! The chicken sandwich and fries were amazing! I dipped my sandwich in buffalo and ranch, and it was incredible. Their fries always hit too!! The service was good too! Sometimes the service there is a hit or miss, but it was a hit this time. My daughter (and I) had been dying to try the (viral) Nashville Hot Mozzarella Sticks. The friend she was supposed to go with couldn't make it so guess who's second choice-Mom! I drove and she paid-it was well worth venturing out into the freezing cold and rainy Indianapolis day. It was pretty busy inside but one of the perks of having a child over 21 is we can now sit at the bar together and not have to wait forever for our food. Lol, we both ordered a Triple Dipper with the cheese sticks but she got the sliders and honey chipotle chicken crispers and I got the southwestern egg rolls because I'm old school(iykyk), and bone-in lemon pepper wings. Honestly, everything was good as hell and came to us hot and freshly made. The mozz was ooey-gooey and the ranch was on point. Egg rolls were just as good as they've always been with that delicious avocado sauce and I couldn't have been happier. Daughter was over the moon about her choices and was already plotting how to get more of the cheese sticks in the coming days.(She ended up DoorDashing some a few days later.) I ordered the salmon but did mentioned to the bartender lady to make sure it's not over cooked. Unfortunately, it was over cooked so super tough & dry. It did have a good flavor tho. My husband and I were looking for an affordable and quick bite while out shopping, and I feel like this was a bit of a bait and switch. I had never been to chilis before, and I expected the quality to be similar to that of Olive Garden or Applebees, but I do not feel that that was the case. Our food was...ok. My side ceasar salad was good, but the little southwestern egg rolls on my triple dipper were mushy and tasteless. I did enjoy the little sliders that came with this, and the fried mozzarella was good. My husband had the barbecue platter. The ribs were not very tender, the chicken tenders were good, and the fries were over seasoned. All of this is sort of par for the course with a chain restaurant like this, but I found myself very surprised by the bill. With tip we spent close to 70 dollars with only one fountain drink, no liquor, and just a small side salad as an appetizer. I feel that chilis markets itself as an affordable option but is charging differently. Why was my side salad with no protein six dollars? It was fine. I would've given one star but my food saved the experience somewhat and my server was nice too. My problem was my tea, I asked for sweet mango tea and was given normal tea, common mistake. When I asked for the correct drink I was accommodated however there was something mysterious floating in my new drink. I don't know if the cup wasn't cleaned or what however in food service the customer eyes shouldn't be the first eyes to notice something like that. We ordered a few sandwiches. From a ten scale rating : Chicken crispy sandwich - 5 And Mushroom Swiss burger - 7 Fries - 2 The fries were paltry and not hot. They were barely warm. The chicken sandwich didn't come with extras. I had to ask for them. Our plastic drink mugs looked old and chipped up or beaten up. The table next to us was there before us and their food didn't get to them until we were done eating and getting ready to leave. It was not busy when we went. Seated immediately, Merlin was our server. The restaurant was clean and was kept so throughout. The manager ensured that areas were swept up continually. Merlin was really a star. 3 for $10 is a great deal. It's so much food for just $10. I've ordered Chili's takeout/delivery before and it's hit or miss but it's such a good deal, I still order from time to time. I had chips and salsa, a Coke, and chicken fajitas that came with rice and black beans. This was my first time trying Chili's fajitas and they were ok. The chicken was tender and there were lots of peppers and onions. The black beans were the best thing on the plate - with tomatoes, onions, and peppers. I'm not a big rice fan, it tasted fine just crunchy. I love Chili's chips and salsa. The chips are thin and crispy and the salsa is on the thinner side which I prefer. I didn't receive the cheese, sour cream, and pick de gallo that is supposed to come with the fajitas but it was still pretty good without those. My mom had the bacon burger with coleslaw and baked potato soup. The burger and soup got the seal of approval but she said she wished the cole slaw had more dressing or mayo. Overall not bad for the price. I ordered delivery because of the quarantine but I like the self-pay kiosk on the table at Chili's. I feel like every restaurant should have those. read more

Corn was soggy and cold and the entree was not hot after waiting a substantial amount of time and having to ask my waitress to check my order. Service slow in getting food. I was craving shrimp for some reason and noticed they had some shrimp fajitas on their lunch menu. I was a bit nervous when I pulled in the lot and saw nobody there or inside. Shockingly, they blew me away. There was so much food! I'm embarrassed to say I ate 4 corn tortillas full (and still had quite a bit of veggies left). The server had a horrible attitude when we were seated and it only got worse. Then she brought out salad and appetizer but still no drinks(waters) then we asked another server for our drinks then the service really went down hill. Had to flag down our server to tell her something was missing from my order and before I could say what the problem was she said" I will get a manager" and walked away. He was of no help either. My friend asked for the district manager's name and number and was told he would have to call the restaurant in about a week when the store manager came back from vacation and talk to him. I ordered Nashville Hot and it was not hot nor were they covered in sauce but there was a small pool at the bottom of the plate. I had to ask for more sauce. What a great experience start to finish! After walking out of a Ruby Tuesday which had evidently been struck by a group of people who had never worked in a restaurant before, we went down the road and settled on Chili's. Hostess saw from inside evidently that was limping and using a cane and had both doors open for us. Pleasant and friendly, it was not 2 minutes when our waiter (Merlin by name, stay tuned for the wizard puns) magically appeared with a smile and a cheesy joke that broke the ice. He also helped us figure out how the right spell to produce free chips and salsa!! Chips were fresh and delish. He helped us by answering questions, promising solutions if we didn't like something and listened to our individual peculiarities. I, in particular, an a very demanding customer. Merlin worked his magic throughout the entire meal, start to finish. He must have whipped up an extraordinary potion and put it in my friend's soda to very large tip out of my friend who doesn't undertip, but isn't given to more than the 15-20% bracket. We went on July 4, 2019. It was not the best experience. Everyone around us kept having problems with their food, orders and then their bill. We ordered drinks and cheese dips. Were told about the app and signing up wed gets chips free but because we wanted queso she said that we could get drinks free. But that didnt come off the check. We ordered our food after a table that came in after ordered. 2 tables that came in after us got their food before we did ours. We couldnt figure out why. His order was wrong she asked if he wanted her to bring out a slice of cheese to up on the burger. Really how in professional is that? How is it going to melt out here? Anyway.
