Left: Arroz con pollo. Right: seafood fajitas.

Service was quick and attentive on a Thursday evening about 8pm. Our drinks were a bit strange but acceptable. The chips were stale but the salsa was good and spicy. Our food appeared within 10 minutes of ordering and was very tasty. My seafood fajitas were easier to eat without building tortillas. I experienced the tiniest scallops I've ever seen.. about the size of pencil erasers! Although located in the same strip center as Shakers, the ambiance couldn't be more different. Here one can actually have a normal conversation without waiting for the music to stop.

One of my favorite Tex Mex places!! A nice atmosphere with TVs showing games and never feels too crazy like some Mexican places. The service was good and really fast! We got our chips and salsa (pretty good - not too hot and tons of flavor) and ordered some Queso. Before we had a chance to eat much of that, our food arrived. She was back to the table a few times to make sure we were good. We ordered chicken fajitas (shared by two) and a chicken chimichanga. The food is good and fresh with very large portions. Plenty of "salad" on the side and beans and rice. Three of us ate for under $40. Recommend!

Came here for a going away dinner for my best friend who moved away. I would've never gone on my own just due to the fact it's 30 minutes from where I live. However, I am so glad I had a reason to try it! I got there a little late due to traffic, so I had to decide pretty fast what I wanted to eat. I pretty much chose the first thing I saw which was a fajita quesadilla. I am never the kind of person to order a quesadilla at a Mexican restaurant. The food came fast considering we were a semi-large group. The food smelled incredible as they started bringing them out, and I was so excited to eat. My quesadilla was huge! It was filled with steak and typical fajita peppers and onion. It was accompanied by rice, lettuce, tomato, and guacamole. I asked for a side of tomatillo salsa to add some extra spice. I also added some sour cream. Upon the first bite, I knew it was a great meal! The steak was cooked perfectly, and the flavor was amazing. The portion size was so good! I was prioritizing finishing the rice because I knew I wouldn't want to take that home. I ended up finishing half of the quesadilla and all of the rice and got a box for the rest. The server was great. He was friendly and very professional. I could tell they were decently busy on the patio for a weeknight in the blaring heat, so I was impressed! The price wasn't bad at all! $16.50 for my meal and a side of salsa that I ordered. Considering I had leftovers and left stuffed, I would say this is pretty good nowadays! The vibes of the restaurant were really good (but that could've also been the good company I was with!). I don't think I am likely to return any time soon, but this is only because I live way too far to go on the regular! If I were in that area again I would go back!

Yummy! Authentic food and great service! My husband and I ate in, and brought food back to our kids. The portions are huge (see pictures)! And they include chips and salsa with to go orders. Highly recommend this place!

First time ever eating at The Red Cactus . It was so good! Service was great. Food came quickly and was hot! Of course, the best part was my Daiquiri and my daughter loved her Lime Margerita! Lots of food included in the meals! 5 Stars!

This place has the best artwork I've ever seen in a restaurant Besides this amazingly unexpected painting, they have a beautiful painting of Frida Khalo by the door. It was really busy on a Friday at 5:30pm. But the staff were still really friendly and attentive and we got seated right away. The menu is pretty large so it was hard to decide what to order, everything sounded good. I ordered the Cactus Sonora combo since it was not something I usually get. It came with a fried burrito, flautas, rice and beans, and guacamole salad. I really liked the shredded chicken flauta and the guacamole. They were a little bit spicy. Everything else was ok, but not as flavorful as the flauta and guacamole. I will definitely go back again and look forward to trying other things on the menu.

My original review was for take-out during the pandemic. We have since went to dine in several times. Red Cactus deserves five stars, IMO! Service tonight was amazing and everyone enjoyed their meals. I would highly recommend trying them out!

Gets the Job Done. New Mexican restaurant in FT. Close to home so we wanted to try it out. I thought it was just like any other local Mexican restaurant. Only difference is a brand new building. Pretty extensive menu. Drinks were good. Service was OK. We will be back. See pics posted of what were ordered.

The service we had was great: super friendly and quick. The salsa is incredible and better than most places that offer complimentary chips & salsa. I got the arrow con pollo and it was good, but definitely a bit dry and not as flavorful as I've had before. But, the chimichangas are delicious. We also went on a weekend and we're seated in less than 10 minutes! The daily specials are great as well.

The service was a bit slow but it being cinco de mayo, we understood that things may move a little slower than any other day. They had some specials for the day but I got my old faithful, Maria's Enchiladas with steak. It comes with rice and beans and it's just so so soooo good!!! I also got the Arroyo Margarita which was good but def could tell they were adding a bit more sour mix to the drink. Overall, it was a good experience but I will try to come back again on a day that is not as busy.

The restaurant is sleek and has a cool vibe, but we immediately realized it was not going to be what we thought of when we saw "street tacos" mentioned during Google search. It's more of a metropolitan American Soul fusion place, with a heavy emphasis on loaded, uniquely flavored tacos instead of traditional Mexicana. The server was wonderful in explaining their menu and gave multiple recommendations, which I went with all of her great suggestions once I told her what I was craving. My husband didn't enjoy his appetizer, saying it tasted too sweet instead of savory for him, but the server was great at being aware of our plates and took the appetizer off our bill when she noticed he wasn't eating it without us even mentioning it. I got three different tacos, and the only one I didn't enjoy was due to the Mac n cheese that was stuffed in it. It just didn't taste or feel right having a taco with macaroni that was pushed in so densely that it became a sponge. The other two were great! My husband gave his burrito a 3/5, as he felt it was too much one note. Overall, don't come here if you're looking for upscale Mexicana, but instead want to enjoy interesting fusion flavors and fun cocktails. Great place for a group outing or celebration!

Then again, it's not an uncommon story unfortunately- large parts of the city forgotten in terms of economic development but then suddenly needed during times of campaigning. Had taken Keystone and then Rural Street to get here, and the potholes are not kind. But, we had this place on our list and were determined to make it here at least once. Tlaolli stood out for its vegan offerings. Plenty of vegan taco options, birria (an absolute rarity to see vegan birria), and torta. They offer soy chorizo, jackfruit, and king oyster mushrooms as protein options. The exterior is colorful, and inside there are seating options. We had gotten our food to go, so I cannot comment too much on the service. Had placed our order online, and the food was ready within the estimated time in the order. We ordered the vegan birria tacos ($17.99), the vegan torta ($10.99 base but added soy chorizo, which was $3.99), and the no-no-no taco ($5.99). Our total with fees was approximately $45. Tlaolli offers outdoor seating, so when the weather is nicer this would be a good place to come. Next to the East Washington IPL branch, Tlaolli has a colorful green exterior with neon signage.
