This Ghent location gets pretty busy, especially after 4p, evidenced by their crowded parking lot and long checkout lines. Still, I'm a HT fan for a few reasons: good selection with prolific weekly specials, cleanliness, pizza and sandwich shops on site and, perhaps most importantly, commitment to customer satisfaction. If they don't have an item, they'll readily substitute an item for the same price, even if it's a better/more expensive brand. If an item doesn't ring up correctly, they'll quickly remedy it at the register, no questions asked. We actually use the VIC specials to plan our weekly grocery shopping. I should mention, they're a community minded company; when chairing a small independent school auction, the manager happily donated a $30 gift certificate for the cause. Notably, this store has an upstairs (with an elevator) that stocks even more wine and beer. Decent local craft beer selection (6 mix/match bottles for $9.99).

Remodels look great here. The staff is always polite and shelves stocked with goodness. They could have a few more cashiers during busy times but all in all a great market. Seafood is my favorite department. Bakery is awesome! I've had 2 cakes made here and they do an awesome job!!!

I've never been to a Teeter that was on two floors like this before. Very interesting, but unlike Target on two floors, there were only two elevators and not an escalator. The rest of the store was classic HT with good produce, frozen and groceries. Prices are high as I would expect from Teeter but the quality is there. Smaller size parking lot but this is in a swanky neighborhood with a limited foot print.

The driver removed the plate... illegally parking and blocking handicap access.

Let me start with I luv Harris teeter elsewhere , wish I could give them a 10 star rating, but this location struggles to get a one star rating. Fist of all, the parking lot has become packed all the time due to its small size compared to the population it serves, and is packed with its staff vehicles... so many times attempting to shop here after work is futile. The long lines at checkout are unnecessary, open a few more lanes, or if you do t wish to do that, add more self checkout cashes. ( but wait, you don't have to do anything because you are the only grocery store around) Don't ask anyone where something is located, they look at you as if you were speaking a foreign language. Many times shelves are empty, or there is one or two items pulled to the front of the shelf only none behind. So, I try to do my grocery shopping early morning... nice they open at 6 am.....Oops, not today, they are doing floors, there is a not saying they will open today at 7 am. .... so the parking lot is filling up with disgruntled customers all waiting to do our shopping The only reason this place does good business is that there is no competition anywhere nearby. Norfolk downtown and Ghent are in a grocery store void..... It's July 3rd around 11:30 am. I drive into the very busy parking lot attempting to get a spot, it took a while as by the time I was able to get to a spot, someone else drove in. That's ok, I just waited and watched. I saw 2 people park and head across the street to apartment buildings... When will management Wake up here and see that your lot for shoppers is used by the surrounding apartments. Two weeks ago I went at opening and there were many cars parked with condensation on their windows, meaning they have been there all night Why don't you as a store start removing these vehicles and having room for your paying customers? Or is that just too much work for you. 07.11.2020 went to HT, parked in the handicap parking as I have a tag and am temporarily disabled. I come out and there is a motorcycle parked right next to me I. The handicap area. They removed their license plate I went into to advise them of this The ' security guard Baffoon came out and said he has no control of the parking lot. Well ok Why can't someone have the power to fine and tow an ill parked vehicle... Why send out the baffoon security guard? Corporate really needs to take a look at this store.... This will be the last post about this store. I will NEVER put foot I. It I shall head to VB and go to Whole Foods.

Lots of samples around the store. Including: cookies, fruit, cheese.

The selection of normal food and exotic food is also very good here, unlike Farm Fresh.

This is an Amazing and Excellent Pharmacy. When I came here back in 2023, I was so very impressed…read moreto meet a group Pharmacist and Pharmacy Technicians that really cared. They cradled me and made sure my medications are filled an always on time. They call you, they check and make sure you want to fill them at the same time, they educate you on your medications and possible side effects and interactions. Plus, sometimes? A shortage may be occurring on a particular medication and they will warn you so you can look for it somewhere else until they can get it in. You can feel love here. I was done with "big box pharmacies.!" I was tired of standing in line for hours or sitting out in my car for 45-minutes at a time to just pickup my medications. I was tired of coming home and my medication count being off! This "beautiful and caring group of people walk the last mile with you." It is business the way pharmacies should be." Thank you, DK (owner), John- Pharmacist, Shayna- Pharmacist, Mike- Pharmacy Technician and Aliyah- Pharmacy Technician. I appreciate everything you do for me! The other thing worth gold is: " walking in and out and NO long lines or hassles." Blessings, Celia Herron

I have been using Battlefield Pharmacy for about six months after dealing with the big box…read morePharmacies and there lack of true customer service and standing in line for over an hour every time I needed to pick up my prescription. The staff and pharmacists are absolutely amazing after several visits they were calling me by my name when I arrived, they notify me when they receive my script, it's always ready on time and they always have what we need in stock and even if they don't you won't wait long. I recently had some dental work done and was over by their office, I stopped in just to see if they would fill it before driving home, they had just received the prescription but told me to wait 10 minutes and filled it immediately. If you are tired of dealing with the big box pharmacies which are getting harder and harder to find and deal with, you MUST give them a try you won't be disappointed. Thank you for the wonderful service you provide. Steve K.

I have a very real love-hate relationship with Walmart. On…read moreone hand, the convenience is unmatched. You can order just about anything and have it show up the same day, which is honestly a lifesaver when you don't feel like going out or just need a couple of things quickly. That said... the experience is very inconsistent depending on how your order is fulfilled. There seems to be a big difference between items that are shipped versus items that are delivered from the store: Store delivery: flawless. Every single time. The drivers clearly read the delivery instructions and place items exactly where requested. No issues here at all. Shipping (same-day): completely different story. Delivery instructions are consistently ignored. It's like they're not even being read, which defeats the whole purpose of having them. I've tested this multiple times, and the pattern holds -- so it's not a one-off. Another thing I appreciate is the at-home return pickup option. When it works, it's incredibly convenient. However, the execution could use some improvement. If you're returning multiple items, they'll often send multiple drivers -- one for each item -- instead of consolidating everything into a single pickup. That just feels inefficient and honestly unnecessary. One pickup, one driver, done. Overall, Walmart makes life easier in a lot of ways, but the inconsistency -- especially with shipping deliveries and return logistics -- keeps this from being a seamless experience. If they could fix those gaps they might get three or four stars

If I could give this Walmart zero stars, I'd personally print the extra star just to throw it in…read morethe trash. I walked in for ONE thing. Just one. A simple, innocent, $3 item. Four hours later, I emerged like a survivor of a retail apocalypse--battle-scarred, dehydrated, and somehow holding a kayak, three candles that smell like sadness, and a family-sized bag of chips I didn't even want. The employees? I'm convinced they hold staff meetings in an underground bunker where the theme is "Hide and Seek: Advanced Edition." I asked one guy where the lightbulbs were and he pointed upward and said, "We got some in the ceiling," then disappeared like a retail ninja. The aisles are a maze designed by someone who hates humanity. I swear I passed the same crying baby, the same man debating toothpaste brands, and the same giant inflatable holiday decoration at least six times. I'm pretty sure I aged 3-5 years in there. Self-checkout? Absolute chaos. I scanned one item and the machine screamed at me like I was smuggling diamonds. Then it demanded "an attendant" who, of course, was nowhere to be found--probably in the bunker. By the time I checked out, the sun had set, the seasons had changed, and I questioned everything I ever believed in. I entered a customer; I left a philosopher. One star. For being open. That's it.
