This is the CVS that I most often frequent. I have noticed as of recently that there have been ample carts available which has been nice. The store was very tidy as well. I have to give a shout out to Alex of CVS. I was trying to purchase Sudafed which you can only get from behind the pharmacy counter and they had just closed for their 30 minute lunch break. He (along with the pharmacist) kindly opened up that register and let me purchase the Sudafed. Thank you Alex for going above and beyond to save me a second trip back to the store. read more

I've gone 4 times to pick up a single prescription and it's never ready for a variety of reasons. I've tried calling ahead and the automated system doesn't work to check rx status. They also have incorrectly processed a different prescription stating that I need a prior authorization, which was already done and is still good for four refills (was able to fill at Walgreens yesterday). When I asked the pharmacist to check the prior auth status (after telling her I had confirmed with my MD that PA was done/current), her only response was to repeatedly tell me my rx was ready and that I'd be charged full price. read more

Unfortunately the service at this pharmacy has steadily declined over the past year. I had speedy and efficient visits when I started coming here in 2022. Since then things just seem to be getting worse. Nowadays due to being chronically understaffed, the pharmacy is literally weeks behind in filling prescriptions and you can almost never reach an associate when you call. Every visit is more frustrating than the last. I guess this is just the struggle that comes with the dominance of corporate-run pharmacies. Definitely wish there were viable alternatives. read more

With Rite Aid closing they transferred our prescriptions to CVS on 3200 Lafayette Blvd in Norfolk, VA. Rite Aid was okay to deal with but soon lacked the quality service towards the end. Dealing with CVS was a nightmare. It started on August 2nd with trying to get a prescription filled for my wife. There were refills remaining on her Levothyroxine 50mcg prescription. CVS said the prescription would be filled that afternoon. I went there to pick it up and it was not filled. They said it would be ready on August 3rd. I went there to pick it up and again it was not ready. I went to CVS the morning of August 4th, it was not filled and the clerk said they would "Expedite" filling the prescription. Meanwhile my wife was totally out of the required medicine. On August 5th, I went there around 2:00pm and they said the medicine was out of stock and it might be available around 5:00pm. Well again it was not available. It was then I decided to go somewhere else. I will never deal with CVS ever again. read more

Drive thru pharmacy, thank you very much! This CVS is walking distance from ODU Campus and easily accessible from Hampton Blvd. The store is kept tidy and appears clean, the employees do welcome you as soon as you walk in and are generally quite helpful. There seems to be a bit of an issue with cash back at certain times of the day, but there is an ATM to use inside - free of charge for USAA. Whilst many products are constantly on sale or deals, CVS products are generally more expensive than other stores. If you want to satisfy that sweet tooth, yes, it is the only place that's stocked up to the heavens - but Miller mart might actually be cheaper! Still, as said, it is very well stocked on many products and there is a large parking lot on the back. Just don't get there before 07:00 - they will not open a minute earlier just for you. read more

They will never fill your prescriptions on time. Or even close to on time. You can physically go in and beg them to and you will not receive your prescription for days in some cases. Saying their customer service is poor is an insult to the term "customer service". They are totally apathetic. Please, for your own sake. Go literally anywhere else to have your prescriptions filled if you value your health. read more

Criminally overpriced. But where else do you go when you need a flash drive, floss, or a half gallon of iced tea at 11 pm? Clientele is mostly students, sketchy folks, and random people buying criminally overpriced flash drives. Not that I'd know anything about that. The people who work here are saints. read more

The drive through pharmacy lady was a sarcastic, rude, mumbling jerk. I needed a COVID test for my 4 year old. This lady mumbled like she was about to go back to her afternoon nap. I asked her multiple times to please speak up and she said sarcastically, "well we are next to a highway" by which she meant Hampton Boulevard. I said yes, that's why you should speak up. She mumbled that she didn't like my attitude and was getting someone else to help me. What an entitled little whiner! Her manager backed her up all they way. Should be turned into a DMV location or a Burger King given this terrible service. Don't go here for healthcare needs. read more

I usually don't write reviews but I just had a HORRIBLE experience with this CVS. For some extremely odd reason they have now decided to close their pharmacy at 6pm. Knowing very well that most people don't get off of work until 5, 5:30, 6. I SPED through rush hour traffic and managed to make it at 5:50pm to be the last person in line. They handed me apiece of paper to state to others that I would be the last one they serviced. After waiting and waiting and waiting at 6:30pm they stated they cannot take anymore customers as their systems turn off at that time. IT WAS STILL 8 PEOPLE IN FROMT OF ME. The time management of this location is PISS POOR and they are really affecting peoples lives who need their medicine. While debating with angry customers who've waited over an hour, the manager stated that she told us all the store closes at 6 and that they had already chose a last person. BUT I WAS THE LAST PERSON. AND I DID NOT RECEIVE HELP. This CVS is not the way to go and I will be changing my refill location PROMPTLY. PLEASE CHANGE YOUR TIMES BACK TO 8PM. PEOPLE HAVE TO WORK AND THEY NEED THEIR MEDICINE!!! read more

i waited 2 days for my prescription for a kidney infection and when i came into store on the 2nd day of not being able to contact someone to speak with i was told it would be another 30 minutes. i then spoke to a manager and she said she would have me moved to the front of the line and it was another 45 minutes of waiting. you cant get in contact with ANYONE over the phone. send your prescriptions somewhere else. read more

Fast service & correct birth control. I was picking up my birth control for almost two years at Walgreens when they changed it without notifying me (they did it again the next month) and told me "the company stopped making it," but when I had my prescription moved to CVS this month, I received the correct one that I had originally been taking for a long time. So, Walgreens lied to me. Also, CVS accepted my insurance so it was free and the line was super quick, whereas at Walgreens, it takes forever. Overall, good service. read more

It's a CVS Pharmacy with a Drive-Thru. What more can really be said? Last good selection of school items, being so close to ODU and all, as well as all your OTC medicine needs, cosmetics and other random items, and un/healthy snacks. The refrigerated section has a small collection of fresh-made sandwiches/wraps, so there's that. USAA ATM inside, near the Hampton Blvd entrance. The bike rack is also along Hampton, but space is limited. read more

Love how close this location is to ODU's campus. The staff is pretty friendly and helpful and there's a decent size parking lot. I usually can come in here and find exactly what I need and they have decent sales! read more

Terrible customer service form the pharmacy, had my prescriptions sent over early in the morning and went there, was told by the pharmacy tech that "they had just opened an hour ago so my prescriptions weren't going to be filled until later" if someone is there to pick up medication it's common sense to try and fill that as soon as you can???? This CVS is clean and right near ODUs campus. It is in an extremely convenient location which is a plus for students. They have a great selection of makeup and everything is very neatly organized. The pharmacy staff were helpful as will. Will be returning here for my pharmacy needs! read more
