We love the pub food and live music at Harpoon. This company does so much for the community through hosting and sponsorship of the Point to Point tour. Great neighbors to have in Windsor, VT. read more

One of the best brewery tours I've ever been on. We were in vermont for the weekend and were looking for something to do. This easily made the highlight of our trip with a $5 brewery tour which also included a souvenir glasd in addition to samplings! It really doesn't get better than that. We decided to stop into the restaurant for lunch and were extremely pleased with the nachos as other reviewers have pointed out. I would also recommend a flight tour to give you a chance to taste a variety of options. But definitely definitely arrive in time for a tour (which happens on the hour) read more

Having grown up in Windsor, the thought that there is a microbrewery there is almost inconceivable to me. That being said, I was pleasantly surprised by this terrific place. I was there for a late lunch, so enjoyed a limited edition Chipotle Porter along with the fish tacos. It really hit the spot! read more

I am not really a fan of tours, but this wasn't too bad. They bring you into a little area of the brewery and talk for a very long time about the process and how this brewery started. They pass around big jars of things like barley for you to smell, and if you so choose, to reach your hand into the germ infested jar where everybody else's hands have been and take a couple out to taste. Then they walk you through the brewery a bit and show you the process. You get to keep a 4oz beer glass and they let you taste the unfiltered, uncarbonated "green beer" that was just made. They also come around with some finished beer for you to try. After the tour is over you are brought back and allowed to try a couple samples of different beers on tap. It took an hour total. Afterwards, we ate at the restaurant which had some pretty good food and plenty more beer on tap. read more

We did like coming here in the past, but today the service was very slow, the food came out cold, the waiter never came back to check on us, the food was not as good as it was in the past, probably won't be back. read more

Really fun tour and restaurant! Really friendly and informed staff! Many samples given on the $5 brewery tour! Would be extra fun for someone who is really interested in how beer is crafted! Has a nice outdoor area with corn-hole and nice other local businesses in the plaza worth checking out. read more

Stopped by with my girlfriend on the way back from a very enjoyable Vermont visit.. following fun at Alchemist, Ben and Jerry's and other New England favorites, Harpoon fell flat in all areas. The positives: no wait, the City Roots Pumpkin Cider was pleasant and the pretzel with beer and cheese and mustard was fresh and well made. Other than that, things went downhill. Our server unfortunately gave off a care free attitude, taking a long time to return when we needed him. When he returned to take our food order, he told us the special we ordered "just sold out" as if we needed to know that we JUST missed it. We ordered the Knackwurst which came with Potatoes and cabbage. The Knackwurst was somehow burnt (not charred) and cold at the same time. The German Potatoes were ok but we were charged an extra $1 for "fries" for no reason. The cabbage was nice but the overall vibe of the experience was nothing like the rest of the Vermont trip or anywhere near what was expected from a New England favorite brewery. read more

These days I only go to Harpoon for an occasional beer. The food is general fare. Not a lot of 'house made' items on the menu. (Except the beer) Our hopes were high after visiting the Long Trail Brewery up in Bridgewater, VT. But they fell short. Long Trail is way ahead in service, food, and Brews. Maybe someone from Harpoon should go up there for a burger, and learn a few things. read more

Absolutely no accommodation what so ever: For the vegetarian options, they do have a veggie burger, BUT it's cooked in a toaster oven that has meat made in it, they were not willing to put the burger on aluminum foil or cook in a skillet ( I've NEVER had an issue when I requested that at any other place, so I don't understand why is it so difficult for harpoon to do it), I was with a group of women so didn't leave to eat elsewhere, we also were in a short time frame because we went kayaking next door ( awesome service at the kayaking place, and really nice sculpture garden) They also couldn't accommodate our group, they split up into 2 tables they refused to join tables, we needed one additional chair for one of the tables, the waitress seemed to be so overwhelmed with the idea of an additional chair that we had to get one ourselves. I ended up with the Humus plate, while the humus was good, the portion was very small, you get much more humus and veggies for similar price at other places: the humus portion was small, I got 3, yes three cukes slices, four cherry tomatoes and some carrot sticks, Seriously shameful!!!!! When it was time for the checks the waitress that started to take our plates left all the plates in a pile by one of the ladies in our group and went to get the checks, needless to say that the lady wasn't happy, the waitress came back with the checks and still didn't take the dish pile even though that we asked her to take them away, my friend actually ended up moving the dishes to an empty table near us....again, are you kidding me? I guess they feel they are able to treat their customers like this because it's mainly tourists.... Really bad experience on all levels! read more

Great place for events, we went to the Macaroni and Cheese Challenge, which supported the Vermont Farmstead Cheesemakers, we sampled 18 or so Mac-n-Cheese dishes and Harpoon beer. Plenty of parking on the grounds in a close proximity, and everyone was so laid back and cool. Different feel from the Boston brewery where everyone is much more fast paced and run with attitude. read more

Beer was good, food was fine, bartender was a jerk. Not sure what we did, other than sit at the bar, to make him treat us poorly. From the start he made it clear he did not want us there. We had ordered beers off the chalkboard menu to start. As we have been here a number of times before, I knew they had a printed beer list. When I asked to see the beer list, he snarkily pointed to the chalkboard. What the heck? Had to specifically ask to see the printed one with beer descriptions. Got the pretzel to start, no napkins, plate, etc... good thing we have long arms and could reach behind the bar for the set-ups. I could go on but won't. He's a jerk. The problem as I said to my husband is that we were headed back to MA from Canada and went out of our way to come here. It wasn't worth it. read more

Fun place to come on a rainy day (or a sunny one too - they have an outside biergarten) to see beer being bottled and to sample some too!

Good food and REALLY good beer! The tour is amazing. Fun, informative and lots of beer at the end.

I was back in Vermont visiting the family and stopped in for some fine craft brews and a bite to eat. For food we only ordered mozzarella sticks and onion rings. Both were hot and tasty. But the beer is the real reason to go there. Tasting is encouraged so I tried a porter and a stout settled on the Baltic Porter. Then had a Leviathan Imperial IPA., which is now one of my favorite beers. Its hard to find here in Florida, but sure to gain popularity. Watch out they are both strong at around 10%, it sneaks up you. I'm looking forward to going back in December. read more

It was a good visit! Their recent improvements/renovations make the place spacious and really comfortable. The beer was outstanding, as usual, and the wings and fries were quite tasty. The overall experience was really pleasant. read more

Was there on a busy day, place was packed. They may have benefited by one additional bartender. The service was stressed, but very good. as busy as they were, they still offered suggestions. Had a couple different beers which were crisp and tasty. Had a Reuben panini with onion rings. The rings were standard frozen type. The panini was cool to the touch but toasted (perhaps sat in the back before getting out to me). It was a little bland for my taste. In general, very good, just not above 4 stars. read more

Love this place! It's so close off I-91 that I always have to make a stop on my way north. Gorgeous location, great beer, and awesome food.

Attended the Octoberfest this past weekend and had a great time! I had one issue though. The food at the festival was deplorably bad, undercooked fries and fried dough is disgusting and should not have been served. I get it, it's all about the brats and knockwurst but it is time to get better food vendors! read more

We loved the Harpoon Brewery. An unexpected stop on our trip to Stowe, we found the brewery in a compound with other great stores. A great mix of people and brews, something for everyone at this brewery. Take exit 9 and have fun! read more

My wife and I came here to try some new limited and exclusive brews and to do the tour. The place was packed last Saturday, it was crazy but the wait on the line was worth trying their new beers and getting the tour tickets. The tour was short, sweet, and informative. The guides were great but the tasting was by far the best part. Being able to basically try every single one of their beers on tap was amazing. I'm not a huge fan of Harpoon! read more

Such great food! Syd is the best waitress ever! So funny and very kind! Extremely helpful as well!

Best tour in the area which goes through the history of Harpoon, how beer is made, and how beer tastes. Yup, they provide samples so you know what you want to have more pints. The brewpub really looks nice after they had renovated with a nice wood fired furnace in the middle of the dining room. Full shop to get whatever beer swag you may need - shirts, openers, metal tacker signs, taps, bar towels, etc. Food wise - they have options for vegetarians and delicious chicken wings that go well with IPA. If you are in the area, this a must stop. read more

I wasn't expecting much after eating at some of the other places in this area and being unimpressed. I was pleasantly surprised. The brewery tour was very informative and included a number of free samples (both of their finished products and of beer at different stages of the brewing process). The food was also excellent. The hamburger was really good, as were the onion rings, fries, and the bratwurst sandwich with homemade sauerkraut. I would definitely go back. read more

I would live here if they'd let me. Take the Brewery tour. You will have a ball! They give plenty of samples and they have a great bar/diner where you can get all their beers on tap. If it's nice outside, they have tables where you can chill and.....drink beer. Why are you still reading this? Go now. read more

Seasonal beer selection is good. The waitress suggested the chicken panini. Said it was her favorite. I thought it was dry. My In-laws got the Reuben and the Rachel which they said were very good. The onion rings were good as an appetizer. My husband got a burger which was OK size---not huge. My husband and father-in-law did the beer tour which they said was good/worth the money. Typical pub fare. read more

The brewery, bar and store are actually really nice. We ate there on Tuesday (7/11/17) and were somewhat disappointed by the food. The server (Kali) was excellent. We ordered a specialty burger off the "special" menu that featured a local cheese and a local sourced beef - the taste was fine however it appeared to be served on a dollar general hamburger roll and the burger was more of a "slider" size - though not that small - it did not measure up to the billing given its fanfare. The beer selection was excellent and well worth our stopping there again - perhaps without the burger next time. read more

My friends and I spent the weekend in Vermont for camping and the BBQ contest at Harpoon. We had a blast, sitting outside, and got pulled pork sandwiches from 3 places and had a taste test. Loved the amount of space there was for food and wandering, a nice change from the Boston Summer Session when the view includes pavement and porta-potties...and the beer is awesome read more

Great beer, and great food! I've been to lunch at the Brewery quite a few times - and always been pleased. The paninis are delicious and grilled to perfection, and the salads are great as well. Some of the best beer around. The outdoor seating is great when the weather allows. Definitely one of my favorite places. read more

The beer tour is literally a 6x6 cell. The service was very poor at the bar and some of the employees were not knowledgeable of their product. The only thing they had going for them is the beer selection and the other attractions in the area. Overall, was pretty disappointed. Will try to visit the main brewery and see if it's any better. In regards to the beer, it was excellent and a wonderful selection. read more

White UFO and Boston....well the Boston something, its a dark beer they got there was good. I'm not a huge beer drinker, I prefer my whiskey but they were the best ones for me. Food was bar food but better. Solid sandwiches and appetizers. Onion rings were great and so was my spinach salad with crispy chicken on top. Not many restaurant choices in the area, this seemed like the nicer less red neck-y ones. read more

Worst wifi ever. 0 cell service. 1 star for the nice beer selection, otherwise 0 stars.

Great beer, food, and service for a very affordable price. Lots of samples if you sit at the bar.

Best brewery tour ever! My boyfriend and I got there early (11am on Saturday) and had a personalized tour with extra beer and a detailed explanation about their brewing process. By far our best brewery experience in VT!! read more

Stopped in for a "quick" growler fill on the way north. Met Josh the bartender and he "forced" us to sample a Buffett of beers before deciding what to fill with, which then led to some wings and two fills, what a guy. We have been here several times as well as to Boston but have never been treated so well. Will be back to look for him because he is a leader in the industry! Way to go harpoon read more

We came here famished after 7+ miles hiking Weathersfield trail. The poutine was awesome! Rye IPA hit the spot too. Closes early during the first part of the week do get on the trail by 9 to get dinner in time. read more

The beer is six star. The location - in every way - is a five or six star. Their general vibe and set up is five star. We've been a couple of Thursday nights and I love love the band and the dancing. Really great. But... the food is two star. We've been there three times - each time we remark on how we are surprised the food is so bad. And each time we go - we are surprised again (i.e., we really can't believe it). Definitely go!!!! But go to drink beer (or water) and dance. Then it's a six star. read more

First of all, they pack you in like sardines. The tables are so close together you have to squeeze between chairs to get to your table. Nothing more annoying than to get bumped by someone's butt or bag as they pass behind you while you are eating. Now the food. Two out of four of my family's meals were awful. The bacon cheeseburger was cooked correctly and was nice and juicy. However, it was requested to be bun less, and arrived with a huge bun. The chicken tenders were good, according to my son. The flatbread pizza had dry, tasteless meat and almost no cheese and the pulled pork nachos were dry and tasteless. Overall a disappointing meal. Drink the beer. Skip the food. read more

This review is specifically for the tour, I did not the eat at the restaurant. The brewery tour is awesome. It's an hour long and very in depth. They cover history of the company and every part of the brewing process in detail. During which they take you through several areas of the actual brewing floor and provide samples of beer at various stages of brewing. At the end they provide free samples of your choice from a selection of 8 or so beers. There was no limit to the free samples, its done when the next tour is ready to come in. Highly recommend. Great beer and a great tour. read more

Great brewery! One of my favorite on the brewery tour. Sweet space just off the highway. Delicious beer. Bartender Josh is the man. He def knows his beers and is a good dude. Highly recommend. read more

Brewery tour was fantastic... very generous sampling opportunities, and very informative guides. The brew pub was a great spot to hit for lunch. Food was great for pub food, served quick, service at the bar was great... and of course great beer to go with it. My favorite beer was the Octoberfest, and I can't wait to go back and try more. I definitely recommend a visit. read more
