I've procrastinated long enough. Time to give these folks some overdue props. Duly resolved to do…read moreso, I'm still struggling with how to best describe their: --Courtesy and attentiveness....top rate! --Selection...just fine. Might be slightly fewer than big box stores (BBS), --Better, Quicker Service than BBS --and they'll MIX or MATCH any color you need. --Quality...excellent, easy to apply (and some contractors I have hired use Sherwin-Williams exclusively. --Prices...again, different from BBS but love the fact that they offer a generous Military Discount. --Parking--small lot, but always room to park since service is normally swift and vehicles simply move in and out fairly smoothly. All-IN-ALL.....thumbs up for 4-stars

I have always had a painter buy the paint rather than myself. But in this case my painter who I…read morehave had for many years suggested I purchase the paint because this was a very large job, and I agreed. We went into the Sherwin Williams store and had the greatest Customer Service you could ever get. Luke and Dustin went out of their way to help narrow the color we wanted and the selected types of paint product. Suggestions, samples, quantities, everything. I have stopped into many other stores just to get ideas, and I can tell you that if not being a contractor they did not want to take the time to talk to me.

I don't want to give any stars until I am able speak to a manager in the morning. To say I am livid…read morewould be an understatement! My mother in law went to buy two gallons of eggshell paint from this location today. Fairly simple I would think. She went in, gave formula numbers for the paint we needed, got it, got home, and I began painting. A couple of hours later, my husband gets home and jumps in to begin the trim work. He grabs the gallon I am working out of and gets to work. As I am painting, I remark at how awesome the paint is blending with the other part of the house that is the same color. It has been 3 years since we painted. Awesome! We finish, take up the tape, clean up, and then grab dinner. Total work time from start to finish is about 6 1/2 hours. We painted a large area. After dinner, we head upstairs to put our kids to bed and I notice that after the paint has dried, there are two different colors on the wall. And...one is shinier than the other! WHAT????? My husband is frustrated because I didn't mix the two gallons of paint. My bad. I'm not a professional painter so I don't know these tricks of the trade. It would have been nice of the paint people to tell us that but they didn't. It looks like we will have to repaint tomorrow. Why are the two paints so different, though? Wouldn't the formula be the same in both cans? How could it be so drastically different? I grab the receipt and notice that we were charged for two cans of eggshell paint. I go back in my memory and remember that the can I used said flat. My stomach drops! Could it be possible that they gave us two different types of paint? I went and grabbed the empty paint can and the one that still had paint. YEP! Two different kinds of paint! So, here's what I am hoping for tomorrow: Full refund on our purchase 2 cans of the SAME paint A painter that will come out to our house tomorrow and repaint our rooms I'll let you know what happens.....

And some things don't change. Biggest frustration for me is to go online to see if an item might be in stock. Then jot down the aisle and bin number and go to the store only to find out that the information I wrote down was incorrect. My solution -- simply check the store app and map....Same issue there: every item was off by at least one aisle. And when I checked for with a staff member. (Who was polite & congenial).... He said "I don't know where they have that today you might check...so and so area." Problem? Uh... I had already checked there and it's not where he guessed it might be. Check out? Another pain in the neck headache. First machine would not accept my loyalty number, so clerk entered it manually. Then the machine refused three times to accept my payment. Again, clerk who has been there, 10 years, said "it's always like this." Plans? Not coming back here too soon.

We ordered a toilet from Home Depot for a home remodel and waited ... and waited ... and waited …read more.. for a month. They had promised to deliver the toilet in four days!! We tracked the order which was tantalizingly close to Nashville after a week, sitting on the outskirts of town in La Vergne for a few days. Why wasn't it moving? We probably should have driven down and swiped it. Because next, it traveled to Virginia to New Jersey to Dallas to Virginia again. It continued its cross-country adventure through various states before arriving at our house a month late, interfering significantly with our remodel schedule! After considering for years to switch to Home Depot's main competitor just 7,007 feet away, we finally had the last straw. After spending hundreds of thousands of dollars at this singular location for a decade's worth of remodels and being perpetually disappointed, the 2026 ice storm hit Nashville. Tenuously making our way over the ice and out of our neighborhood, we were thankful to find Home Depot opened with the rest of Cool Springs being a ghost town. We desperately needed a generator after losing power, and they were prepared with stacks of them by the front door along with space heaters and flashlights. We had a $500 generator rung up and asked the employee how to use it, being a style of generator we had never used before. This bear of a man his grumbled "Look it up in the Internet!" There were no other customers, there was no reason to rush us out of the store, everyone was desperate in the middle of an unparalleled power outage in Middle Tennessee, and the brusque attitude was completely uncalled for. Look it up on the Internet? HEY, DUMMY! We have no power, no heat, no hot water, no Internet, and no cell service. How do you recommend we "look it up" on the Internet. Needless to say, we shall never return.

I ordered 12 Hunter Douglas cellular shades . Total cost more than 10K…read more I paid an additional fee for professional installation. On April 22 , the installer arrived later than the promised one hour window , rushed through the process and was somewhat annoyed about making some minor adjustments to make sure everything hung correctly. Was a lot more concerned about taking the old blinds with him. 10 shades look terrific , there are problems with 2. One shade was the wrong type and they are correcting that. The other sags on one side , doesn't close all the way and can't be adjusted with the key the installers left for that purpose. I sent them a very clear photo showing the problem. Now I'm getting pushback about replacing the shade that doesn't close correctly . Additionally I have been told that I won't get a professional install on the replacements even though I paid for that. The designer told me he is going to do it. I had to ask for care and cleaning instructions. I have asked how to register my shades for the warranty eight days ago but have been given zero information on that. This was a huge splurge for me and I'm feeling very disrespected now that they have full payment , they are no longer concerned Even though the job is not complete , I have repeatedly received emails ( at least 7 times ) wanting me to Docusign that the job has been finished when it is not. Update 05/15/26 Still no warranty info after multiple requests. The 1st pic taken May 1 shows sagging on top right. The 2nd pic taken today May 15 shows it is sagging progressively more on top right . At this point I'm wondering how long it will be until it just falls down. I raise and lower the other 11 shades daily and none of them are doing this . The alleged "automated emails " to sign off stating the job is complete have stopped. Now I get repeated phone calls from Amanda in attempt to convince me to keep the ~defective~ shade. This is not something that can simply be fixed by an adjustment - it is defective and they just keep digging in their heels rather than doing the right thing - order a new shade . This is brand new , I should not be expected to accept this. Update May 17 , last night I was awakened by a loud pop that came from the shade. Am guessing that one or more of the cords snapped. It now sags even more at the top and Ethan Allen still refuses to replace the shade. 3rd pic attached. As someone who works in a warranty capacity for a large corporation , I am astounded at how they handle a problem. I personally send out product worth tens of thousands of dollars of when we make a mistake. We value our customers. Anything can go wrong in manufacturing , and how those mistakes are addressed defines a company. This unwillingness to properly resolve a mistake speaks volumes about Ethan Allen. Update 05/18 Today the store manager emailed to blame me for "not letting them repair " the defective shade. Seems the modus operandi is for them to drag this out as long as possible and waste my time with repair after repair on a defective shade instead of doing the correct thing by replacing it. I should have bought everything from Home Depot , they treat customers better there.

I stated I what I was looking for and he directed me to the right place. Once I ready to check out this rude Indian lady started to check me out. I had a gift card, when I went to pay, she did not speak English well and told me I had to give her the pin. I had not scratched that off the back of the card, so I simply asked her if she had anything that I could scratch off the area with she said no rudely. I said do you have a coin she said rudely again no I said you have a pen. She said no the third time I said, do you have scissors or anything that I can scratch it off with? I don't have anything and she raised her voice and said no again. She was extremely hateful. I don't even understand why your company would hire someone who could not speak English well and who did not have any Customer Service skills. I would think that would be a quality you would need to work with the public. I suggest the manager retrain Anusha the Indian rude lady to know how to treat customers. Our of the big box home improvement retailers, I am a Lowe's guy through and through for a few reasons. Pricing is the first, I seem to find better deals, especially clearance deals at Lowe's. Second is service, which tends to be decent at all the stores, this one included. My office is not far from here, so anytime I need to scoop something up for a project, I do so on the way home as I pass right by traveling down Mallory. My favorite section here is the grill section. I have gotten sooooo many grill items and accessories from this Lowe's. There is always something I forget or am interested in. This location is good on stocking as well. There has never been a time where what I was after was not on the shelf. They keep the store, inside and out, in good condition and clean. Overall, solid Lowe's location that comes in clutch when needed!
