I had the absolute best experience with epiphany design studios! My dog chewed my leather couch which was the most comfortable and beautiful piece of furniture I've ever owned Epiphany contacted the leather manufacturer and quickly got my cushion repaired. She was not only Extremely friendly, but she was efficient and gave me a great price. She could have increased the price knowing that I was desperate, but she didn't. She could have put me at the bottom of her priority list but instead she treated me like one of her highest paying customers. Epiphany is a pretty swanky, upscale antique shop on 8th Avenue South. While they have lots of very intriguing and aesthetically pleasing chandeliers, sofas and furniture, it's all pretty pricey and more overtly modern looking than antique. A lot of the items at Epiphany are so massive that they make you feel dwarfed. When I stopped in today, they had an armoire that must have been ten feet tall, not to mention countless couches and light fixtures that look like they were designed for someone of Wilt Chamberlain's stature. The young lady who was working in Epiphany at the time was polite, although she certainly looked at me as though I was shopping out of my league. Most of Epiphany's items are pretty pricey--exceptionally so, actually. But I suppose that comes with the territory of high-end furniture. If you're someone with plenty of money to spend and you want your house to fall somewhere between modern and classic (but mostly a modern and gigantic take on classic), then this is probably a good place to shop for home furnishings. read more

Today we stopped in to Epiphany Design Studio, and admittedly we were dressed very casually - me in blue jeans, a baseball t-shirt, and a pair of ADIDAS shoes. My wife was similarly casual. I point that out because we were helped immediately by Michael when we entered the building while being dressed the way we were. I mean we definitely did not look like people that could or would be dropping several thousand dollars today. But we were none the less and very quickly. He sat down with us to go over designs that we liked and to get a sense of our style. At no point was he "sales-y" during the conversation, he was just trying to get an idea of what it is that we like. He picked out several notebooks worth of stuff and we combed through it all. In the end we wrote down the styles that we liked and took his card to potentially use them as our designers as well. We really felt good about the service provided and the quality of the merchandise. read more

Their quotes were INSANELY priced and we very quickly went in a different direction due to the inability to get anyone to reach back out and the extreme premium attached to every single thing we requested quotes on. When we went in, a sweet man working there said, "It's all gotta go." It took me a second to realize he meant all the Christmas decorations. The internal dialogue went a little something like this: Darn it. I was hoping the furniture was on sale, and some pieces were, but they were still way out of my price range. They had some very beautiful tables, and a little black cabinet with vintage looking ads on the front on the shelves. I didn't even dare look for or ask for a price. I knew I'd just be disappointed. It's certainly upscale, but I never felt like the people working there though any less of me because I didn't look like someone that could afford it. That's always brownie points from me. read more

As I looked around, I noted the pop music playing on the stereo, and the woman working there informed me that everything was 20% off. Still a little too expensive for me. The attractive oak dining room table was priced at $1750, and the least expensive item in the store, some sweet-smelling incense candles, cost between $17 and $32. Epiphany seems to be going for a chic but still mainstream style, with a mid-size collection of carefully presented tables, chairs, lamps, and china. read more
