After I searched everywhere for a reasonable counter top shop, I found The Granite Shop. Wish I would have know about them sooner. I saved over $1000 on my kitchen counter tops. They don't charge for all the extras that other places do. Their showroom had all of the brands with samples. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Easy to work with on my project. The Granite Place replaced our kitchen counters. I wanted to keep the back splash which was added after the previous quartz counters. It was installed right on top of the old counters, so our granite wasn't going to fit. They came in and trimmed our backsplash so our granite fit perfectly. The entire crew did a great job! So polite and they sure do know their job. Our Blanco sink was delivered from a different company and it was broken. I couldn't find another one in stock, so I asked Casey from The Granite Shop if she could find us one. She did and they didn't even mark up the price! We highly recommend the Granite Shop! read more

We bought a spec home from a local builder who used The Granite Shop to install all the kitchen and bathroom granite countertops, so when it came time to add a laundry sink, we decided it made sense to go to the same counter-top company, in hopes of getting a close match to the granite in the kitchen. This was a good decision because I can hardly think of a time that I have ever had such a good sales, fabrication and installation experience. This is a family business, and as soon as I walked through the showroom door, I felt part of that family. The laundry sink job was very small, but that didn't matter to The Granite Shop. They treated me like I ordered a whole house full of granite. The color/pattern match was perfect, the job was installed the next day, and it fit absolutely perfectly in the small space like it was placed there by a brain surgeon. Even though I didn't end up purchasing here, and I had some sub-par aspects to my customer experience, I still rate The Granite Shop as A-OK because the staff there are so nice. If you live in Franklin and you're contemplating granite, this is the "go to" location very near the Factory that is most prevalent shop in the area. If you are building in the area, they are probably doing your granite. And your remodeling contractor or that spec home in Westhaven, it's their work, too. Their small showroom shows full square foot samples of all the granites available in a nicely lit, clean open space - and they have samples showing cuts, textures, and uses you probably haven't thought of. Because we were doing a small project in terms of their scope, (and any granite shop scope), we were selecting only from the remnant room which ain't so nice. The remnants are stored in bins on edge, and right now they have so many remnants to choose from - they are stacked in there quite tightly and it's tough to see. That coupled with the fact that the room the size of most people's living room has four overlead lights, and only two are working. It's dim. And it's dusty. And unless you are really decisive, that's a tough combination. I looked for about an hour as I had a haircut scheduled nearby one Saturday morning, and there wasn't a granite that I could see clearly enough that hubby and I could agree on. Am I the easiest person in the world to please? No. After visiting a few other granite shops, I realized that dim lighting and dusty conditions are the norm in granite warehouses rather than a subpar condition here (another reason I gave them A-OK), but if you look long enough and are open minded, you will find a remnant somewhere in Middle Tennessee that will work for you. Remnants prices here are around $30-35 sq ft on average, and that's on par with most other places. My final choice came in at $25 per, but honestly I picked it because of the pattern and my ability to clearly see it rather than the $5 per sq ft. Yours is out there, and it might be here, but seriously you might want to consider bringing a flashlight, a garage shop towel, and a strong man with you to shift heavy slabs. read more

I had NO idea what I was doing and they patiently worked with me and educated me through all of my decisions. I actually talked on the phone with the same people every time I called! The entire process couldn't have been more perfect. The removal of my kitchen counter tops was an A-1 job - no damage to anything and I can't say enough about the professionalism of installing my new granite and sink. We purchased a piece granite for our master bathroom vanity. We had a outstanding experience and unlike other granite shops, they don't have the hidden upcharges or costs associated with many of the others. The people are great, and they came out the next day on a Thursday to measure, installed on Friday afternoon!! The best part was the price, about $300 less then the big stores for the same piece.
