The cut out the sink opening inside. They said it was because if they did it outside that the thin granite on the front of where the sink is going can crack. If they cut outside and the support with 1/4" plywood and clamps to bring it in, it would not crack. And no housewide mess. The shop vac they used to attempt to collect the dust as they cut had a clogged paper filter. No pre filter, no bag. It was not a Hepa. They used no mist to hold down dust.

We had a 1987 badly designed kitchen that was falling apart. They did a full gut and also remodeled a bar area in living room and laundry room. The price was very fair, the work was amazing. As expected a project this size was not without some challenge's. But the team at Design Craft was extremely responsive and was always on top of things. Here we sit a year later and there was a drawer that was not closing correctly. I called and they scheduled a team member to come out and they adjusted and fixed the drawer promptly. I am happy to recommend Design Craft to anyone. Their install teams are wonderful people and we welcomed them in our home. The work they did was solid, they do not cut corners. This entire experience was a nightmare. The day they showed up to install they installed the WRONG…read moreCOUNTERS. We ordered a grey and white marble and they installed an all white quartz. A completely different material and not at all what we had picked out and paid for. I immediately called them to ask when they could back and fix this and they said they couldn't come and install the correct counters for another WEEK. We had to reschedule our plumber and we were without a working sink for over a week. When they came to install the correct counters, they brought two counters with completely different corners that sit across from each other and one has a chipped edge. Save yourself a headache and go with a different fabricator.

I specifically explained what I did not like about my previous design, yet over $15,000 later, I essentially ended up with the same thing. My cabinet doors are not even the same size. After installation, I was told they "had to do that to make them fit." This was never mentioned beforehand, and I was never asked if that would be acceptable. I also have a completely different design on one of the doors. Again, this was done without ever informing me or getting my approval. On top of that, some of the shelving does not even lay flat. We were also never told that the pantry shelves would be so deep that without pull-outs you can't see what's in the back. What is the point of hiring someone to design cabinets if they don't guide you on these basic functionality issues? Communication throughout the process was extremely poor. The only time David seemed to communicate consistently was when he wanted payment. For the amount of money spent, the result and overall experience were incredibly disappointing Go with someone who actually guide you on your project with their expertise.
