We just bought a house in the Nations and decided we wanted a chandelier hung in the dining room. The builder's electrician was booked out, and we have a party that the fiancé wanted to have the light fixture hung before, so it was my task to research and find somebody to do the job quickly. At this point West Side Electric became an important part of the story. After a quick Google search to find local electricians, and their Yelp page explaining their expertise, I called these guys to receive a quote on removing 2 can lights and installing a chandelier. I initially called on a Tuesday and they were able to get somebody out here by Thursday. The guys showed up, gave me a cost, which I thought was very reasonable, and I thanked them. I figured I'd have to schedule an installation for a later date, but I was wrong. They were prepped and ready to go that day! Woody and Shane did a great job, and after a couple of hours the job was complete and our light was installed. Icing on the cake? They were able to patch the holes left from the can lights making my only remaining task be a little sanding and painting! We couldn't be happier with the service, quickness, and pricing we received from West Side. For any other electrical needs, these guys will be my go to, and if you live in West Nashville or anywhere in the area, I'd recommend them to you too, if you asked me. read more

West Side Electric Service - Our chandelier, expertly installed by West Side Electric. - Electricians Near Me - Nashville, Tennessee

I tried them for the first time. They were very responsive. They showed up on time. The price was very fair and the time it took was fast.

Two fellows from West Side Electric came one evening to help us find the breaker for the circuit on which our tankless hot water was located. After some considerable searching they found it behind insulation in the crawl space. Quite a screw-up the builders 9 years ago. I was very pleased with the persistence of the WSE electricians in finding the breaker and then cutting away insulation so it can be easily found in the future. Good experience with a positive result. read more

I was stood-up twice by the electrician that was supposed to come and install a simple outlet in my crawlspace. I had verbal confirmation over the phone both times and nobody ever showed. I had taken off time from work to accommodate the 4PM and 9AM appointments that I had made that were eventually no-shows. On the second occurrence, the electrician called an hour and a half late to let me know that he had a medical appointment that ran long and 'had no cell service'. I cannot speak to their workmanship, but obviously I'm dissatisfied with their ability to even show up at a designated time. read more

I have used Jerry for years working on several different rental homes. He is quick, responsive, and knowledgeable. I have used him for electric services, heating and cooling. They are a small local business and are much better to deal with than the bigger companies. read more

Jerry, the owner, and Charles solved a difficult electrical problem at our house. Their experience and expertise was much appreciated. Very fair price. read more

Recently moved into a new house and had an issue with the power outlets in the room I planned to use as a home office. I waited to set up my desk and workspace until after the issue was fixed. I called Jerry and described the issue and provided my contact information to set up an appointment. Was told that an "office manager" would reach out to schedule someone to come out and fix it. After a week wasted following up and trying to contact someone to get my appointment set up, not to mention not having a proper workspace, I ended up contacting a different company that seems to treat paying customers like they are a priority. I can't speak to his workmanship, but if non-responsiveness is any indication, I dodged a bullet. I guess West Side Electric doesn't care about making money. read more

I highly recommend West Side Electric Service to help with any electrical or heating/air conditioning issue you may have. I had been trying to find someone locally for several days, with no luck. I needed help to rewire an old lamp. I finally found West Side Electric online and called. The receptionist was very friendly and addressed my concerns promptly. I can see why West Side Electric continually ranks highest in the Nashville area. Jerry and Charles went out of their way to help me solve the lamp problem. It is working beautifully again. Their patience and expertise was extremely helpful, and surpassed all expectations of great service. read more

I just had the best experience with Jerry and West Side Electric. My meter block was melted, along with some wires, and my landlord spent 8+ hours trying to figure out the issue. By time they got NES out to unlock the meter, my landlord's electrician couldn't do an after hours call because he didn't have the part. Within an hour, Jerry was at my door. The price for the repair + after hours service seemed fair and he explained everything to me. He even spoke with my landlord, which I think calmed him down about not using "his" electrician. Whether you have electrical, Heat/AC or water heater issues, call Jerry at West Side Electric! read more

Not impressed. Just had another company come and repair the same issue I paid WSE top dollar to fix only a few months ago. Their technicians didnt appear to be competent and should have done a more thorough job. Retrospect seems like I wasted my time and a lit of money. read more

The lady on the phone was very rude. I ended up not using them from the way she spoke to me. What a bad way to get business. I'm not sure if the company does good work or not, but I know they have the worst person in the world answering the phone for them. read more

I have used them for small jobs like putting up fans or bigger jobs like putting in a new electric panel and changing all the switches and plugs in my house. Their prices are honest and they do a good job. Several of the employees have worked there for a long time and seem to be knowledgeable and you don't see a different person every time you call them. I will definitely continue to use them on into the future. read more

Called westside on Thursday morning. I spoke to Jerry I believe. Gave him my contact info. He was to come out Thursday at the latest Friday. Never heard from him or anyone else. Left a message as well. My biggest issue is that I could have had someone else come out before wasting two days and the weekend. Thanks for nothing Jerry and Westside Electric. read more

I have been dealing with Westside Electric service for many years now, so I thought it's time to review them. It's a small outfit, and at times hard to get them nailed down for service because they are a small company. What I can tell you is for small jobs they are golden. I never get overcharged for service calls or small problems. Jerry Bone is an honest man, recently I had problems with my HVAC unit, and all others wanted to replace the whole unit and charge me $4000+. Jerry found out it was only a capacitor that kept my fan from working, and with a little freon my unit was working tip top, and he only charged me $220. No other outfit would have done it that cheap. Like I said if you have minor issues, it may take a while to get a hold of these guys, but they are honest and fair. Rare things these days. read more
