Soooooo Good. I live in vegas and it is Mild sauce is wat I get. The Bomb!!! Fast friendly service. You can eat there or take it to go this location has plenty of seats Come Chicago. You must squeeze this in. Catfish and wings. Yesssss. Ambiance =chewing. lol. So good!

I was here to visit so i stopped by this Harold's. The chicken was amazing and the mild sauce put me in the mind of sweet and sour sauce. I called 3 hrs ahead to place an order for 75 wings only and still had to wait when I arrived but the chicken was good so i can't complain. I will go back for sure if i ever visit Chicago again.

Clean, good customer service, quick but too quick. Order was taken. Estimated time given for order. Order received as given. Food was fresh, hot and seasoned. One of the best locations I've been to when in the city.

I have had 0 problems. This is my location in the west loop. I've been frequenting the joint for 2 years now and they are consistent. The food is always hot ready to eat and the order is usually accurate. The wait time is about the same as any other that I have been to. You can sit down I usually just take it home right around the corner. They have always been friendly but most importantly they aren't shy on the mild sauce.

Got here at 2:30am after the club and this was sooo good! Quick, seasoned and everything I needed.

Great experience! Literally some of the best wings I've had... ever. Flavorful and a decent price the ambiance was cool, nothing fancy or intriguing. Just a classic local spot with quick service

A delicious balanced not-to-sweet sweet potato pie!

Im not sure what else to say that hasn't been already said before about Harold's. I called my order in and was surprised they actually answered. Its a hit or miss on getting any location to answer their phone. The person that took my phone order was very polite and my order was ready when I arrived to pick it up. I ordered my usual 8 piece mixed chicken bucket with mild sauce and a side of large fries with mild sauce. The chicken was fried perfectly and they didn't skimp on the mild sauce on either the fries or the chicken. The chicken was nice and crispy and perfectly seasoned. Will definitely be coming back to this location.

The restaurant is small, almost like a tiny barn, with a walk-through kitchen where I can see the food being made while the smell of fried chicken fills the air. It has that casual, no-frills feel where the food does all the talking. The staff were super nice and welcoming, too. I ordered the Hot Honey Fried Chicken Sandwich, and oh my god... this thing was a sweet and spicy mess in the best way possible. The chicken was tender and juicy inside, with a crispy fried coating giving it a satisfying crunch. The hot honey was what really brought everything together. It had a sweet, sticky flavor up front, followed by a gentle heat that kicked in a moment later. It wasn't overwhelmingly spicy, but it definitely had enough of a kick to keep things interesting. There was also a creamy sauce that balanced the heat and adding another layer of flavor. Every bite had something going on, the flavors played off each other so well and nothing felt out of place. It was messy, sticky, and absolutely worth it.

The sheer SIZE of these things, and they are fried to perfection. One sandwich is enough to fill you which I appreciate. The pickles that they use too are thick cut and balance with the chicken well. The more pickles the better!! What is new: these fried chicken wraps. OMG. I don't want to compare them to a mcdonalds snackwrap because that would be offensive to Budlong.... because the ones BL makes are just out of this world. As expected, the chicken size is great, it actually fills the wrap. I ended up ordering both the hot honey and the bbq. Both were awesome I just wish I got something with a little more spice. But I still will be ordering these again! I also tried the fried pickles for the first time which were great! I just wish they used dill pickles instead of bread+butter (I assumed they used this?) because they were a bit too sweet for me. But if you like bread and butter pickles you will love these. Next time I go I neeeeeed to try their plant based nuggets. I'm not vegan, but I LOVE vegan foods, and think more restaurants need to follow suit! Also on my list is the Peach Hand Pie and the Banana Pudding... I think that speaks for itself If you haven't been into Budlong - WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!! Get yourself some chicken and thank me later :)

This sandwich had a nice crispy plump fried chicken breast w/pickles, shredded cabbage, hot honey & spicy mayo on a bun. This was a delicious blend of the fried chicken w/the crunch of the cabbage & pickle & the hot honey & spicy mayo. This was an excellent choice that we both enjoyed the sandwich. It's a small spot, and it was busy when I went. The staff were super nice and welcoming, too. But man, the food is what really got me. I ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich House Style, which came with cucumber coleslaw, dill pickles, and chipotle buttermilk ranch. And instead of regular bread, I got it on a biscuit, which honestly took the whole thing to another level. The biscuit was soft, crumbly, with that buttery flavor that paired so well with the fried chicken. Calling this just a sandwich almost feels wrong because the whole thing was an absolute mess in the best possible way. The chicken was the star, it was crunchy, red golden and incredibly juicy. The Nashville hot sauce brought a spicy kick that hit right away and lingered, while the dill pickles added a sharp, tangy bite. The cucumber coleslaw brought a cool, refreshing crunch, and the chipotle buttermilk ranch added a creamy, smoky flavor that helped bring everything together. I even added some honey making the sandwich even better. The sweetness softened the heat just enough, creating this sweet-and-spicy combination that made every bite more exciting. There was so much happening, sauce everywhere, toppings sliding around, and absolutely worth the mess. Roost absolutely delivered. I came for a chicken sandwich, but that biscuit made it something else entirely.

Typically most restaurants "close at 9PM" means, they stop taking orders at 9PM. In lieu of we need to close the kitchen at 8:30PM to be out the business doors by 9PM. At this point, I've had two experiences with this Fry the Coop location…read more My first was generally positive. The chicken and fries were hot and fresh, and the sandwich had some appreciable heat. The only critique I could levy was that by virtue of being twice fried, both were very crispy, crispier than I would have liked. My second experience was less tasty and more chaotic. Walking in, one of the booths looked like a microburst had gone through. The cashier let me know that they were slammed with pickup orders, and that getting my food would take ~15-20 minutes. Since the cooks were managing a massive influx of orders, I didn't want to pull them away from their duties, and asked the manager to be called out from the back. I brought it to their attention, and it was promptly cleaned. However, it may have been wise to keep a better eye on things, for seeing such chaos almost led to me walking out and not returning. When it comes to the food, this time around it was disappointing. Despite food constantly coming fresh out the fryer, my fries and sandwich felt and tasted as if they'd been sitting out for 10-15 minutes. While I appreciate the need to fulfill pickup orders, allowing the food of a customer waiting in person to go ignored feels inappropriate. Further, despite being ordered as "hot", the sandwich was a medium at best (I have a high heat tolerance, so YMMV). The service overall has been fine for a fast-casual spot. Not award-winning or meme'd for their hospitality (*ahem* Chick-fil-A) but acceptable for what it is. The vibe is on the smaller side, with three booths. There is a very slightly retro, classic-rock-like feel to the vibe. Final verdict: My two experiences have fallen short for me. The first led to food that was overly crisp, and the second felt like food I might as well have had delivered. While not bad, there is no shortage of chicken shops in Chicagoland that have a superior, more consistent product.
