We had the chicken box food truck come to our school for the last day of school. Their food truck is questionable our cleanliness. All they have is chicken tenders with a variety of sauces. Buy chicken tenders came with a hot honey sauce. Their fries had lemon pepper seasoning on them along with some hot honey sauce. With my chicken box I only got a sprinkle of fries in there. The fries were the best part. The chicken turned were decent they were just really thick and big. They weren't your traditional easy to hold chicken tender. The chicken was fresh it tasted fine. The hot honey sauce was very spicy with a hint of sweetness. It was a decent meal. Wow this place is delicious! I love chicken tenders so was delighted to see this place open after Roost left a few years ago. You order at a tablet (love not having to talk to someone while I decide, and 10000 points to them for not even having a tip option- I LOVE that at a fast casual place where you place and pick up your own order), and food is ready in a few minutes. I got the 3 pc tender meal for $10.99 and it comes with fries and up to 3 sauces. I got the 24K gold (a mustardy sauce), hot honey, and buffalo. The 24K gold was by far the best- so tangy and delicious! It was great for fries too. The honey was also good, but the 24k was my favorite. The buffalo was my least favorite mainly because the other sauces were better. The food is served in a cute lil mini shoebox (adorable). The tenders were freshly fried and delicious, and the fries were also very tasty. Everyone that walked into my office as I was eating said it smelled delicious, but it tasted even better! I've had food from here before and it was hot and fresh. Today my order was meh. The fries were hard and not good the chicken was decent. I will go back because the first time was a hit. My only issue is I walk here while on lunch and it's a 10 minute walk then I have to wait. The first time I ordered there that would explain the wait. The second time I waited about 7 minutes. You can't pay there anymore. They took out the 2 kiosks. You have to do through an online service. I guess that's good because they don't have money there and it won't be a line of people trying to order and another line of people waiting. read more

They out this special seasonings on them - yum! They also have sauces to choose from so you'd be able to have the down home flavor. Sauce on fries are a Chicago thing, right? The chicken tenders - quite meatie! Chicken wings - I love that they ask if you want them cooked hard (extra crispy) or natural. I don't like over cooked wings, so I ordered them natural. Sometimes you want crispy and they offer that variety. They have an app where you place your order so there's no cashier. It's a pretty good idea to keep costs down but not everyone knows how to operate online menus. Actually one of the best chicken I've ever had not just in Chicago but in my life. UIC had a their food truck there, and the people working it were really nice too, but the fries were perfectly seasoned and fried, then chicken was so juicy and cooked so well. Hey I don't go around blasting businesses especially black owned businesses. But to be honest this place is just overly hyped up. I'd rather go to get Canes chicken tenders. Number one these things isn't freshly made. Freshly made and made to order are totally two different things. Even though they are made to order, a tear came to my eye when I saw them come out of a bag in the freezer. My second issue is the size portions. All these reviews who put up videos on TikTok and Instagram got 3 hefty chicken tenders to review and show. The three I got were small as hell. By the time they finished cooking they were over cooked, plus the fact that they are banking on the sauces to make this place huge. No seasoning in making the chicken is not the way to go. read more
