Flavor was seriously lacking with the creamy Mac & Cheese and the cole slaw. Salt and pepper were my friends today. What was supposed to be the star performers let me down. 1. To begin...the meat samplers were actually small for the price. 2. The pulled chicken seemed more minced than anything. There was some flavor there, but it was just too dry for me. You have to smother it in BBQ sauce. 3. The problem is the BBQ meats had a chill on them, and when the chicken's chopped that small, it cools off almost instantly, so you're stuck eating lukewarm-to-cold meat. 4. The beef brisket was dried out too. This place was a one and done for me.

My husband and I constantly pass this place and say we should try it, and I'm very happy we finally did! As someone who spent most of their life in Texas I've become a bit of a barbecue snob, and these guys were like a taste of home. Their sliced brisket plate was fantastic, perfect bark on flavorful meat with a sauce that wasn't too sweet but perfectly complemented the meat. Had a nice dense scoop of potato salad that was lovely and green beans that were perfectly seasoned. My husband's sausage was also great, nicely spiced and cooked to get a good snappy skin without drying the meat itself out. His baked beans and mac and cheese also were excellent sides, all in all not a complaint to be had between us. If you like good Texas style barbecue this place is a must visit, friendly staff and nice classic barbecue joint decor only add to the experience. I recently visited Harmons BBQ in Fort Worth, and it was an outstanding experience! The atmosphere was laid-back and welcoming, perfect for enjoying a hearty meal with friends or family. The smoked meats were phenomenal--tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. I especially loved the brisket, which practically melted in my mouth, and the ribs were a close second with their perfect balance of smoky flavor and sweetness from the BBQ sauce. When you think BBQ in Cincinnati generally you think of driving out to the east side by the river. All other BBQ in the Cincinnati area is amateur hour compared to Harmon's.
