Here's an updated review coming from a former management employee. DO NOT BUY and DO NOT WORK for this company. The owner, Christian, is a greedy, narcissistic, and shady salesman whose only goal is to squeeze every penny out of customers. Nick Thomas, the General Manager, is nothing more than a spineless yes-man who does Christian's dirty work, fosters a hostile work environment, and spreads gossip throughout the office. Let's talk about the windows. They cost the company between $200 and $500 but are sold to customers for $2,000 to $5,000. The company employs undocumented workers, drug addicts, and individuals with criminal histories, and they rarely, if ever, conduct background checks. For example, one former project manager was arrested for domestic violence during his employment. Management was aware of this but chose to ignore it. This same individual frequently intimidated staff members, which I reported. Nick dismissed my concerns, saying I was "exaggerating" and claiming the project manager posed no threat. Additionally, project managers are instructed to upsell unnecessary plywood during installations, a scam designed to increase profits. Customers have been charged up to $11,000 for dry rot repairs that cost the company roughly $1,700. The project managers pocket hefty kickbacks from these scams. There was also an incident where a prospective customer complained that a sales rep tried to kiss her. Instead of addressing this behavior, management swept it under the rug because the rep was one of Christian's favorites. He was eventually let go months later, but only for failing to meet sales quotas--not for his misconduct. Sales reps face another level of mistreatment. Christian withholds commissions from reps who leave the company until every single job they worked on is fully installed and paid for, which can take over a year. In at least two instances, Christian delayed payments even longer simply because he didn't feel like paying. During my time at Harley, at least five sales reps had to file claims with the Department of Labor & Industries just to get what they were owed. The company is also rife with sexual harassment, which both Christian and Nick ignore. Nick went so far as to demand detailed explanations for sick days, to the point where I was forced to share personal medical details about ongoing health issues. When I reported sexual harassment and the hostile work environment to Nick via email on two occasions, I was promptly terminated. Afterward, Christian and Nick tried to pressure me into signing a confidentiality agreement in exchange for $5,000 to prevent me from suing or speaking out. I refused to sign. Fortunately, I requested and received electronic copies of my employee file before they could try to tarnish my record. My performance was stellar, with no documented issues, which they cannot dispute. I forgot to mention the Stellar Accountants, Doug and Marcie they repeatedly lost or misplaced customers' deposit checks and frequently double-charged card payments simply due to incompetence. Refunds often take over a month to process, far exceeding legally allowed timeframes. Prospective employees, beware--they're known to short-pay or delay commissions, sometimes out of negligence, other times because the owner prioritizes cash flow over paying what's owed. This includes withholding both customer refunds and employee commissions. I have evidence to back all these claims, and the company knows it. That's why they tried to get me to hand over my proof as part of an agreement I refused to sign. read more

We have had 5 other companies come give us estimates on our roof in the last week, and you guys are literally the only ones that we have had a problem with. Estimator came within 2 days of initial contact. Very professional, thorough, and knowledgeable regarding roofing. Great start! An hour and a half later, I had to go to work, so we to reschedule because he refused to even start discussing pricing if he didn't have enough time for him to fully pitch his company and products. That was my first warning. Tried to set up a follow-up apt a couple other different times throughout the week, but my wife would be at work when I was at home. (This happens when you have a dual income family with young children, just fyi) They were very resistant to my suggestions of following-up with me, and I would discuss everything with my wife later. They insisted they would schedule for when both of us would be there. I am fully capable of back-briefing my wife on everything that you tell me about your company, she trusts my decision making abilities, and she trusts that I will do what is best for our family. That is why we are still married. And by the way, we both do not believe you when you say that you want both of us at the apt because that's what the BBB recommends, and you guys want to keep your A rating with them. We both know that unsettled customer complaints lowers your rating, not whether or not both of us are there for your sales pitch. When he suggested Saturday for our follow up,I told the guy on the phone with that I am in the Washington State National Guard, and that I would be gone all weekend, so we would not be able to meet on Saturday, we would have to push it to Monday. After completing my training on Sat, I checked my phone and had two voicemails from Harley asking me to call them back. Why did you leave me two voicemails asking me to call you when I told you that I would be gone training with the Army all weekend? You guys might have better reviews if you actually listen to your customers, as opposed to your hard-headed determination to do things the way your company wants to do them. If I, as a potential customer, feel like what you want is more important to you than what I want, why in the world would I choose you for my home repair project? Your employee already had the measurements, pitch and type for my roof. Send me your quote and price if you want to earn my business. Playing hard to get is not a clever sales approach. You know who is going to get the job replacing my roof? The company that inspected my roof, pitched their company, showed me some shingles, talked to me about what they suggest I do as far as scope-of-work to my roof from a professional roofer point-of-view in less than an hour and a half. Then, they emailed me a full written quote less than 24 hours later. That is professional. Don't waste my time. read more

WORST WINDOW COMPANY WILL ATTEMPT TO SCAM YOU! Be prepared this company will look you up on county records beforehand they want to make sure everyone at the house is present so that they can have ya'll sign the dotted line and screw you for a high interest rate. Jimmy the supervisor is an absolute creep and wouldn't even let me speak to the senior manager Jason. They are professionals at wasting your time. They won't measure the windows until they give you their 1.5 hour long sales pitch. Then they will do a half ass measurement and say someone else will come to do the real thing. WASTING MORE OF YOUR TIME. J.R. Began the first 6 slides of his presentation - going over the companies awards and accolades from 2015... he then went over 6 more slides and talked about his family (just him and his wife no kids) he said they go to Leavenworth every year. LIKE OKAY I DONT CARE. EVERYONE GOES TO LEAVENWORTH EACH YEAR LOL. Like what family doesn't take a trip to Leavenworth from time to time??? Or at least pass through it to get to chelan. This guy wanted to waste 30 more minutes talking about HIS family. I just wanted a quote for windows I don't care about you and your wife going to Leavenworth and sitting in a ski lodge all day. THEY ACT LIKE THEY ARE THE ONLY WINDOW COMPANY IN TOWN - THERE ARE OTHER COMPANIES. Additionally, JR (Lawrence) came into my house without a mask. Not that I even care - but when scheduling the appointment they went on and on about how they were going to wear a mask. Furthermore, he came in and started setting all of his stuff on my BED! His note pad and paperwork like ew don't touch my bed.. Then we went to the kitchen and this guy is making himself at home just lounging in my kitchen dining room chairs. He also walked into my backyard stepped in dog poo and then came inside and grinded it into my floor mat by the back door... so disrespectful. This guy had to of been born in a barn. I got the creepy old man vibe that if I didn't sit down to hear his presentation he was going to murder me or lock me into a basement. This company really needs to reconsider who they are sending into the homes of other people. I will also mention that when this guy was walking through my house he was taking pictures of everything... from a very far distance like he wasn't just getting the windows in the photo. He was very adamant about taking photos but not adamant about taking good measurements. Made me feel like he is planning to come back and case my house and rob me. read more

Early in the year this 2022, we decided to move forward with our plans to replace all the windows of our house. We contacted 3 reputable window companies to start the process. We knew exactly what we wanted as experienced homeowners. 1. A Company with an Excellent track Record for delivering top notch service, so after meeting with 3 Salesmen from the 3 different companies. We decided to contract Harley Exteriors for the job. From start to finish our experience with Harley Exteriors was smooth and easy. The Salesman was punctual. He went over the different style windows with us and as well demonstrated the differences in our choices of energy efficiency windows and price points which best fit our budget. All while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor. 2. Quality was definitely top of our list. We want excellent quality windows that didn't just look good, but that were durable for the long haul, functional and energy efficient, 3. Guarantees! This was by far one of our main concerns. We wanted to contract a company that could guarantee the quality and efficiency of their product and workmanship. Harley Exterior was able to meet and exceed our expectation with their lifetime guarantee of their windows. They guarantee replacement of our windows if damaged by accident or means of mother nature as well as product malfunction had us sold. 4. Installation. I can't tell you how much I was dreading the moment. I kept my fingers crossed that the installers wouldn't damage my window frames or the textured rims of the walls when removing the old windows or that I my home wouldn't be covered in dust from the sawing. All of my concerns would put to rest by the fantastic team of installers that were sent to do the job. Everything that needed to be covered was done, window frames to the house were 98% damage free. The team was broken into two groups. One group worked on the top floor while the 2nd group on the lower part of the house. They were very organized, clean, respectful not just with us but with our home. The crew leader was on top of his game. He took his time to address some of our concerns in a very professional manner. I would recommend Harley Exteriors to anyone looking to replace their windows. I would gladly work with them again. They are indeed a highly Reputable rated A company. read more

WHY DO HOME IMPROVEMENT COMPANIES ASK FOR BOTH HOMEOWNERS TO BE PRESENT FOR AN ESTIMATE APPOINTMENT? This question is frequently asked by homeowners and understandably so. This question is not meant to offend anyone in any way. The reasoning behind it is quite simple and sensible. When scheduled, a good contractor or sales representative will come out to your home, give a consultation, show samples and talk about pricing. If there is only one homeowner or significant other present during this vast discussion, all of this pertinent information will then have to be translated from one homeowner to the other. There are many details that go into choosing the right windows, doors, siding or roofing. One homeowner may want grids on the windows when the other does not. One homeowner may be interested in 16' vinyl siding panels when the other homeowner likes the look of 25' panels. These specifications need to be explored and will reflect in the overall price of the project. Avoid future confusion by fitting this initial meeting into your schedule. Make it a point to be present! The Better Business Bureau suggests that all homeowners and/or significant others be present at the time of the initial home improvement estimate appointment. Their records show that if this collaboration occurs, there are generally less complaints overall. Everyone is on the same page from day one. Opinions have been heard and questions have been answered. The BBB has seen this to be the most efficient way to start the renovation process. Owning a home is not only expensive, but also time consuming. Sometimes we need to take the time to be there. We all have busy lives and can relate to the "there isn't enough time in the day" mentality. It seems like we can't fit one more thing on our never ending To Do Lists. I had a cracked window on the west side of my house that I wanted replaced. Harley exteriors was the only vendor I had talked to that would replace only 1 window, most other companies required a minimum of 4. The sales person was friendly and took thetime to answer all my questions. My bedroom is on the west side of the house and use to get extremely hot in the afternoons. The salesman demonstrated a window thatwould greatly reduce the heat problem. The day of the installation I was given a call and informed the installer was on his way and he arrived promptly. I was amazed at how efefficiently and cleanly the installer was able to install the window. I use to have to use an AC unit for this room and with the new window I have not had to use the AC yet (this was 2 years ago) I was so happy with the one window, that when the rest of them needed to be replaced I knew Harley Exteriors would be the company I used. They are highly efficient and we have noticed a decrease in our heating bills over the winter months. They are also great at keeping our home cooler in the summer months. Between the beautiful large thermal windows along with the windows that open for air circulation, our home is very comfortable year round. The consultants assisted us in choosing the perfect style of obscure windows for privacy in select areas, while still allowing light in those areas. The locking ability on the windows is easy to use and very secure, providing a sense of security. The installation team that came to our home was very professional, proficient and knowledgeable. Project I have a house that was built in 1950 that has three large windows and nine smaller windows. We had Harley Exteriors replace them all with Lindsay Windows, LLC windows. The largest pane in our living room window is roughly 50 square feet which caused issues with other suppliers, but not with Harley Exteriors / Lindsay Windows, LLC. Installation Harley Exteriors' crew replaced all our windows within two days along with window moldings and sills as necessary. Their workforce was courteous and professional working around my wife and I with minimal disturbance. The craftsmanship was exceptional considering the challenges inherent in replacing windows of an older house. Also, the crew cleaned up thoroughly at the end of the project. Resolution of Problems During the final walk through, several problems were noted - a damaged screen and a scratch on the main picture window pane. These were noted on the final walk through sheet, but I was nervous about whether or not Harley Exteriors / Lindsay Windows LLC would honor their warranty for the damaged window pane. Harley Exteriors replaced the damaged screen within a week, but It took a month and a half, for Lindsay Windows, LLC to come out with a crew and replace the window pane. No extra charges were charged for any of this problem resolution work. Bottomline, I was satisfied with both Harley Exteriors' and Lindsay Windows, LLC's efforts to resolve the problems. Conclusion I am extremely satisfied with Harley Exteriors and Lindsay Windows, LLC. They have proven to me that they are passionate about their work and warranty. As a result, I whole-heartedly recommend them for window replacement projects. read more

My earlier review has disappeared so I'm redoing and updating. Back in February we hired Harley Extrtiors to replace & upgrade our roof. The first install was done incorrectly so they had to remove and install a second set of new shingles. Before we signed off & to pay Harley, we had an independent inspector verify the installation was done correctly. It wasn't, therefore they weren't paid. Nor did they make any effort to protect the landscaping or our property leaving mass amounts of granules (up to 2in in some areas), nails, staples, broken shingles, cut pieces of flashing; Also bent several rain gutters, busted parts of the siding, left black tarry scuff marks up & down every side of the house. Harley denied everything, never came out to see the damage, then ignored our calls. Retained an attorney in March. After months of stall tactics, in mid July Harley Exteriors agreed to fix all the repairs in the report and give us a refund for the damage to the house. Trusting their word & just wanting to be done with this, we paid Harley Exteriors in full. BIG MISTAKE! Opposing side said they would sign as soon as they verified payment in full. Once payment was verified, Harley's owner then refused to sign the settlement agreement, reneged on everything, and is back to the same stall tactics, making excuse's after excuse's for why they can't blablabla. Now it's mid October and it's abundantly clear that Harley's owner has been and is still acting/negotiating in bad faith as their latest stall tact is trying to back out of their lifetime warranty. Harley Exteriors have shown that priorities are profits first and everything else is your problem. read more

DISCLAIMER: I'm writing this review as part of my participation in Harley's endorsement program which entitled me to a rebate on my purchase. So to establish the most important information first, the windows are great, the installation was professional, and the price I think ultimately was reasonable. I docked one star because the way Harley works is via in-person sales which involves a very long and intense pitch that they don't exactly let you know ahead of time is going to take a huge chunk of your day and leads up to a high-pressure sales tactic in which you're given a day-of price that they promise you is way lower than you will ever be able to get if you don't sign now. This is not how I like to make large financial decisions. The second star is because there were also some communication issues throughout the process. Harley seems to do everything either in person or by phone so even something like confirming a meeting time can require a couple of calls and voicemails. I'd also been assured during the very long pitch that the warranty was world class and covered just about everything other than vandalism but then after the purchase was told that if we painted them it would void the warranty. Also for this endorsement program I wasn't really told how it works and had to follow up with them a couple of times to get the instructions for how to receive my rebate. Ultimately, I would recommend Harley with the caveats that I listed above. Now that I'm aware of how the process works and have been through it once I'm comfortable enough with it that I'd be willing to go through it again for future work on my house. read more

My review was removed for some reason so here we go again. Started w. a young man knocking on our door. We set up an appt . sales guy came out . The windows are very expensive. We qualified for financing but didn't know the financing company was putting a lien on the house to do so . we were told we qualified for money back from PSE( NOPE ). We were to get a gift card for dinner for just listening to the sales pitch ( NOPE) We were told by our sales person that the windows would be custom and fit with in an inch to provide room for the install material . We were told by the sales person that it would be up to CURRENT code . Our house was built in 67 and all the did was screw and put about 5 pound of caulk in each window. Looks like crap . they put no foam or vapor barrier was even and then just covered in caulk . The install looks like crap . I have pictures tons of spacers . Uneven pounds of caulk visible around every window. I was told I should just paint it . A total screw and glue . I was not happy with any of it and was threatened w/ a contractors lien on my house if I didn't sign the paper work . google Harley Exterior complaints. Its an interesting read. I can say that the people who make the actual windows, i guess their supplier . Super nice folks . Have replaced broken windows without issue ( but you have to call Harley to get them to call.) I hate the finished product . If you own an older home get it in writing . I feel like a bait and switch was done . I have pictures . YUCK read more

This week we had our windows replaced by Harley Exteriors. Harley has made this a very smooth and easy process and I would highly recommend Harley Exteriors to anyone who is looking for a quality seller/installer to replace the windows in their house. From the salesman (Ryan) who came to our house to the installers (Ryan and Alex) the process went off without a hitch and now we have beautiful new windows. Ryan the salesman used Covid prevention measures and presented all the valuable options the windows provide. He showed us several options as to price and we chose what fit for us. We actually had to cancel our first order due to our funding falling through. My husband spoke with Nick in the office and he was gracious and let him know that they were there for us is we were able to proceed. When we did get funding Nick even gave us a discount. That is integrity and great company ethics in my opinion. The installers (Ryan and Alex) arrived on time and we able to install them earlier than our given install date so that was a plus. They were both very conscientious of our home careful to protect our floors and furniture. The job they did was superior and the end product is beautiful. If you chose Harley Exteriors as the company to purchase and install your windows from you will not be disappointed. Anita read more

I ordered 19 windows and a 3 panel sliding glass door and 15 out of the 19 windows and the sliding glass door immediately needed to be replaced due to factory and installer error. I started this process with Harley exteriors in June of 2021. It is now February 2022 and my job is still not completed. Today I was hung up on by an incredibly disrespectful employee after expressing my repeated frustrations. I still have no idea when my door will be replaced. We have tried repeatedly to get in touch with this company and there is never any update or anything. I call and email multiple times a week and have been through 4 "project managers" and some lady named Melissa. None were helpful and all have since left the job. This was the most expensive bid a received for the work and we chose to go with them in hopes of avoiding all of the nonsense that you usually see with contractors. Unfortunately we have dealt with all of it and more. It seems we will have to file a complaint to the Washington state contractor licensing and the bbb. I have lost all hope in this company's capability in rectifying this situation. I would love for them to make it right but I doubt they will. I would never recommend this company to anyone. read more
