All aspects of working with All Decks was excellent, from beginning to end. The workmanship of the finished deck exceeded our expectations, and every person we encountered was pleasant to work with. Our project was the installation of an 8' x 11' elevated attached deck. I had whittled my initial list of contractors down to six before choosing All Decks. Cost was competitive but was not the lowest bid. This was the third deck in this location. The previous two were wood. This time we chose to have a composite deck installed, to not have a stairway, and to have the area underneath the deck protected from rain. As this was an elevated deck, it was covered by municipal code requirements more stringent than when the previous two decks were built. We worked with Adam during our initial contact, and in designing the deck. We chose Dekorator planking, Trex handrails, and the Trex RainEscape system. We wanted to minimize supporting posts, as a competing bid would have used 6 posts, and we had seen decks on houses like ours that had 5 to 6 posts. All Decks was able to use only 2 posts by having larger-size (6"x6") posts and by attaching one side of the deck to our cantilevered 2nd floor. The All Decks showroom was extremely helpful in choosing materials and colors, and in evaluating the RainEscape system relative to alternative underdeck rain coverings. Kendall did thorough work when he visited to do the detailed yard survey required by code. The level of detail in the resulting documents was unexpected and illuminating. The three-man team led by Chris who put up the deck was professional and unobtrusive. A special challenge was attaching one side of the deck to our cantilevered 2nd floor as the current municipal code requires an exceptionally robust connection. Installing this connection required removing several plank-and-tongue grooves from under the overhang of the cantilevered 2nd floor, which is very difficult without causing damage. I was skeptical that it could be done and was pleasantly surprised to see the excellent appearance of the re-installed planking. (As expected, I repainted the reinstalled planks myself.) As for the steel-bar-reinforced concrete footings, Chris meticulously set their height so as to enable the potential future installation of a ground-level deck made from pavers. The gentleman who delivered and picked up materials and the portable toilet was discreet and careful. Crystle ensured smooth communications for scheduling, billing, etc. We are very satisfied with the All Decks team and their work. read more

We needed to have our deck replaced when the decking and a support beam were both starting to fail. All Decks was great from beginning to end. I got several bids. They were affordable, knowledgeable, and very willing to work with my needs and my budget. They were able to obtain the permits that were needed which is an important and valuable service. They also took care of the structural engineering that was needed to make sure that we had sufficient support for the deck. Their showroom is very helpful. There are samples and some mockups of decks, railings, lighting, etc. There are lots of options and the staff was great about explaining the options but not pressure-upselling. I felt comfortable choosing the materials and extras with their help. After the project was finished, there was one support post that didn't look finished to me when I looked at it from our dining room window. All Decks was great about coming out. After seeing and understanding what I wanted to upgrade, they were able to install a matching trim piece that made the post look complete. The deck has been installed now since Oct 2024. It still looks great and I couldn't be happier. read more

I'm not the easiest customer. I won't hesitate to pull out a level before signing a check. All Decks was able to work with that and created a beautiful, well-constructed porch that took my requirements and concerns into account. The final result was exactly what I had imagined. Pricing was very competitive. They weren't the cheapest, but I'm reasonably confident that this was the best price I could get for the quality they delivered. read more

AllDecks rebuilt our deck for us last winter; it was originally built in the 70s and then had been resurfaced in 2005. They were fantastic to work with, and did a terrific job - the deck is so much more stable, and obviously better built than the original; it feels like standing on solid ground. They were absolutely not the cheapest option - but they did incredible work. What I want to call out, though, is that the true measure of a company like this is how they deal with problems after the fact. Our deck was finished in late spring, and was fantastic all summer. Once the rains returned last fall, we discovered that the flat roof over part of our deck was draining out of the wrong corner. We called AllDecks - more than six months after we had signed off and made our last payment - and they sent out a tech right away. He discovered that a support they had replaced was about 3/4 of an inch too short. Not enough that any of us could have seen it, but enough to change the angle of the roof. He fixed it, the whole thing was done in a few hours, the roof drained properly, and they earned our praises for life. I can't recommend them enough. read more

Visited the All Decks Office and Show Room during the first week in June. Liked what I saw and learned about the company and their products. Scheduled an appointment with an estimator at 3:30 PM on June 16th. Adam came to do the estimate, was prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. He left with a promise of a written estimate by Friday. I am writing this review on Friday, July 12th. To date, I have received neither an estimate nor any other communication from All Decks. However I selected this contractor based on the opportunity to visit a physical showroom to examine different products and discuss design options, the professionalism and thoroughness of the All Decks estimator, and their super-responsive scheduling. I quickly learned I made the right choice. From start to finish the crew was as professional as the sales team. They worked efficiently, solved several unanticipated problems once the job got underway, and communicated effectively throughout. Decks are expensive so you want to hire people who will do it right. All Decks came in, demolished the old and built out new deck efficiently and expertly. Chris was the lead and he was very meticulous making sure everything was perfect. He was always available to answer any questions we had along the way. He even went above and beyond by putting in a latching door in the skirting below the deck so we could easily access underneath. The crew arrived 30 minutes or more, before start time, every day. Never late and always worked the full day. When the job was complete, they cleaned the entire area, raked, swept, rinsed and left the place looking cleaner than they arrived. The other positive is that someone is always there to answer your call, unlike other builders. Communication was consistent throughout as we waited for the permit. Their salesperson didn't try to push anything on us, and the staff at the show room were very nice and helpful in educating us and helping us make the right choices. They also had competitive pricing. Our work required permitting from county, and it was a trip; yet Adam and team handled it all patiently including indulging the extra requirements for engineering analysis (they didn't charge us for the extra cost they had to pay out of pocket either). Once the permits came in they were ready to start right away despite their booked calendar. Once the project started they were very accommodating to my requests and attention to detail. Engineers like myself make the worst customers, but they were so good about it. Flint is the best and his work is very high quality. He definitely takes pride in his work. There were some materials delays outside of their control, but they restarted the work the moment they were unblocked (despite being on another job). Even the owner, Howard, was helping to ensure the project got done with no delays. He also popped in often to make sure everything was going alright. These folks built a deck for us this summer, and we literally could not be happier. Both the outcome (deck we love, reasonable price) and the process were great. On process: We got bids from a few companies and chose them. They were close to low bid but not quite. We chose them anyhow because they were zero pressure and seemed very competent. We were right about both. We showed them a sketch of what we wanted and pics of other decks/railings we liked, and they did the rest. They did all of the design, drawings, and permitting. That wasn't simple because the back of our house is on a slope and we wanted the framing to be heavy-duty. The deck come out great. The workmanship is really terrific -- every piece/corner was cut precisely. There was also an issue with the Trex we used: it came from two different batches, so part of the decking was darker than it should have been. They were on our side immediately, handled the whole thing with Trex, at zero extra cost to us and without us having to say anything to Trex. From what I could tell, Trex was responsible about it, acknowledging it was their fault. I will recommend All Decks and Doors to friends and will contact them again about other projects. read more

Howard did a great job on our "Crow's Nest" (a small deck on top of our roof). It had many leaks and was peeling up everywhere. He fixed all the holes and leaks and put on 2 nice thick coats of base, and the final top grip coat. It looks great and we're now looking forward to winter rather than dreading it. This type of deck, with living quarters beneath it, seems to be quite rare, but Howard has experience with it. The only thing that could have made it more perfect would be if the scheduling could have been more concrete sooner, but I understand at this time of year weather plays a big part. I seriously cannot recommend All-Decks enough. We had a small second-level deck and wanted to replace it with a larger deck and a lower dry deck below. All Decks was excellent. I expected anyone with "Decks" in their name to be expensive, but they were extremely competitive, and the deck was done early and looks great. Everyone I talked to at each step of the way was super responsive, friendly, and helpful, from sales to accounting to project management to the demo and build crews, who did a fantastic job. I'm extremely picky, so I asked a ton of questions up front, with which they were extremely patient, and pointed out one or two minor things at the end, which they fixed no questions asked. The entire process couldn't have been easier and I had higher quotes from much sketchier sources. We've had a lot of random work done on our house in the last few years, and I wish any of it had gone as smoothly as this. We've used Howard and his team for several projects at our home here in Bothell. We first met him after another contractor had run off with our deposit to build a large raised deck off the back of our home, so I was cautious about hiring someone else.
