I go in after work to fix two nails all the other 8 are in tact because they were just done on July 1st same place by Nancy I think her name is...I already know whn they sit u down with the young Chinese girl in the front is to buy time..but this time she's actually doing the two nails. So I think to myself its just two nails may b easy for her to do.I hve a pink French tip and the base is clear ...so she puts pink as the base I said this is not the same color as my nails they are clear very patiently and calm mind you. she starts talking crap in her language then snaps out why didn't I tell her..I patiently say I don't know how to do nails you and your colleagues do..just look at my other nails and I assume u can see its clear..so as she cleans them off she says like then ok I put no color...well thts not correct either...she continues to talk in her language clearly upset...I just patiently got up n said never mind ill pay for the nails u just put on me im leaving ...she said no why didn't u tell me..with all my patience I said you and your colleagues know how to do nails your supposed to tell me...paid n walked out...shame on her I went their for five years and today was my last day thanks to little miss attitude mistake..not mine...go figure smh I wish I can post a pic of the two nails she put on colorless now and one more to the left than I don't know what... they think we are supposed to sit their like idiots while they talk b.s in their language right to our face....very bad experience today. read more

Their prices are very reasonable for the quality of work. Additionally, the salon is kept very clean with liners in the pedicure bowl and everything is sterilized. I am beyond upset. Three of us had different services. It started when our 15 minute wait became 40 minutes. Then my friend complained that they had skipped steps on her pedicure. The owner, Trina, said it was because they were short handed and busy?? When she said that was not her fault, Trina decided that she was not a satisfiable customer and actually refused to make it right. I paid for for my daughters nails, which were drastically overpriced. I was waiting to see if she was satisfied before tipping. He actually told my daughter I had not tipped him. He hadn't even finished yet. The only reason we've gone back there is because Kevin is an awesome employee and gives a great pedicure. That's who deserved and received a great tip!! Full new set only a week n a half in and they're breaking off like twigs. Had to come in 3 days after getting them to fix my left finger that BROKE. they fixed it for free just as long as they didn't have to go out their way to do the French tip or add some stickers. I'm left with 4 nails about to hit 2 weeks with this "new" set. Would've been the best set I ever got if they weren't breaking off within the week plus getting overcharged $120 for this is ridiculous. for them to break off soon as I get them!!! Not worth it!!! I haven't had any issues with this salon a year ago, but my last three visits were less than stellar. The previous time I was here my toe nails and fingernails were two different colors. I was told it was the, 'lighting,' even though it obviously wasn't. This current visit was frustrating (first world problems, I know). I walk in and was taken care of quickly by this guy - unsure of his name, but he acted like he would rather be anywhere else. I had no chip before, but I wanted to start back with regular manicures. I was charged an additional $5 to take off the polish on my nails. Sure, whatever. As soon as I said I wanted a regular manicure, he seemed bothered by it. He rushed through my manicure, and left nail polish on the outside of my nails - if I wanted that I would've done it myself. The nail polish was globby. I know it's just nails, but if I'm paying for something (came to $18 + tip) I expect it to be what I paid for. Edit: my nail polish ended up smudging, and I had to take it off. SUPER clean, I am definitely coming here again. Looks like a small place when you pull into the parking lot, but surprisingly big inside. I came with my daughter on a Saturday (they have great hours too btw) around noon and they were able to take us both right away. I got cat eyes no chip manicure and my daughter got her tips redone. Really clean inside, no complaints that i have. my nail tech was named Rachel and she was super meticulous and took her time, cleaning up any little speck that ended up on the skin of my nail beds. My girlfriends and I came here for a girls' day and and we were pleased with our manis and pedis. We called ahead and they said they could accommodate three of us for both. When we arrived they had taken a few too many walk-ins and we had to wait. The most annoying part was that we had an appointment and it just didn't matter. It took a long time for us to have our pedicures done so then we were all off in getting our manicures. One of my friends ended up sitting around and waiting a long time for us other two to be done. The pedicure was nice but they didn't do the grater or pumice enough so the callouses weren't worked out very well. The manicure was just OK and ended up chipping within a few days. We came here because it was close to one friend's house but I doubt I'll come back. There's very little parking in the lot (especially if the other businesses are busy) and it can be hard to park on this stretch of Harlem. There's probably other places nearby that aren't as busy or who do a better job of honoring appointments. read more

Very rude. Nail tech was mad I went in for a manicure instead of a no chip. She kept saying "no one does regular manicure anymore" then she kept moving the fan close to my nails very aggressively and my nails while wet touched the fan and smeared. She then huffed and puffed rolling her eyes and kept saying "see this is why you should have done no chip". First of all I am paying for the service I WANT! I do not need to do what everyone else is doing. Clearly she was mad that she had to do a cheaper service than a no chip. I was the only customer there and so she told me she had to leave so I would have to dry my nails somewhere else. So basically kicking me out! That was the worst experience ever! She is really good and quite gentle....I always am pleased with her work....I am extremely picky. She knows what I like and remembers my favorite colors. I love this place. Ladies are nice and they help you out. I would give them 5 stars but I have gotten my pedicure done yesterday and the lady cut my skin. She literally took the tool and digged in between. I didn't notice it was bleeding or anything until today. My toe was sore and when I got home I saw the dried up blood and there's a chunk of skin sticking out that she was trying to get I guess. I always tell my friends to come here, but that was a really bad experience I had yesterday. Definitely will give Trina (owner) a call. So everyone, I recommend the no chip and manicure. I went last week for a gel fill in because my regular place didn't have an opening. I honestly don't know why I stayed after looking around. The place is a mess! The floors are dirty. Like they look like that haven't been swept in months. Cobwebs, dust, debris. I did, I stayed. They are INCREDIBLY NICE! I'll give them that. But the woman who did my nails.. while filing the color off kept looking away and when she would she would slip off the end of my nail making it shorter. I came in for gel. She used powder, no bake. Gel bakes. I spoke with several cosmetology friends, no bake = not gel. Not too pleased. I went in with round nails, I left with short almond, losing some of the length I went in with and have worked so hard to grow. I didn't dislike them. But it IS NOT what I wanted. Very good nail salon. I was waiting outside of another nail salon killing time because I had dropped my kids off at school, attended a meeting, and they were still not open. They opened at 10. I had been there before years ago but had no specific reason to go back besides they did an ok job from what I remembered. To kill time, I started looking into Yelp reviews. Not very many good ones. at 9:59 am I left to go to Harlem Nails because they were a few minutes away and actually had good reviews. When I was younger I used to get my nails done every other Thursday, religiously. After having kids I kind of went here and there. The last time I went was over a year ago (somewhere else) and they did a horrible job, to the point I just decided not to continue. But I missed them :( The elegance, sparkle, just looking more put together, even in sweats. So I decided to start going again. I am so happy I came here. It was a Friday morning, 10 am (they open at 9:30). There was no wait, and there were a few women already there getting their hands and toes done. I explained what I didn't like about my nails last time and what I wanted to my nail tech, Anna. She took her time and did exactly what I asked. She asked questions along the way, to make sure everything was going smoothly. Some of the polishes did seem old, they could probably get new ones, but maybe it's because most people do no chip and I just did regular. My nails are the perfect thickness, I explained last time that they were super thick and ugly. She made them as thin as she could without them being too too thin where they would break. The polish was applied beautifully. Anna was very kind and thorough. She listened to what I asked for, and then delivered. She wasn't super pushy- which is good because I am not a pushover kind of person; when I say no the answer is no, and I just get annoyed when people keep trying to upsell. She did kindly suggest no chip, and next time I will get it because waiting for it to dry was a hassle. The price was good. I think it was $25 for a full set with regular polish. She did an amazing job. Tips are in cash only, I believe. So make sure you bring cash. I am very pleased with my service. Enough that I am going to ATTEMPT to go back every two weeks, like before. It has been just over a week so far, they are still all intact and have no chipped. Which is impressive because I do a lot of cooking and cleaning - TONS of dishes. I expected them to be a little more worn and torn by now. The shop was clean. The temperature was comfortable, and my tech did a very good job. Very pleased overall. read more
