Let's put it this way...I signed up on Yelp just to leave this review. I had originally hired Jonathan to load up my boxes into a truck, because the rates were good and they sounded dependable. After we schedule loading time, Jonathan called me few hours later and told me he can take all of my stuff from Austin to CA. At first I was skeptical, but he gave me an amazing deal. I had originally asked around (Mayflower/United Van/Pods/Etc), and they all gave me outrageous quotes for basically a 1BR apartment. So, I thought it would save me the hassle for not only driving, but unloading my truck in CA. I went forward, and they showed up on time, and loaded everything up. Oh, and due to my schedule constraints and not having a place to live yet in CA...Jonathan stored my stuff for a week...at no extra cost. He was very punctual in responding to my texts, and also arrived in CA when he said he would. He also was very flexible with any changes that came up, and didn't complain once. I really appreciated that...I actually gave him a little extra than our signed contract amount. I was that satisfied and impressed. Will definitely recommend them in Austin or even in CA! read more

This was my first time using movers and I am glad to say that Jonathan and his associate really came thru for me and my girlfriend. I had a short distance move but a very grueling one due to the fact that it was VERY HOT and I was moving from one 3rd floor unit to another with some heavy pieces of furniture. It doesn't help that apartments floorplans are the worst when it comes to getting stuff in and out of without some damage to your furniture or the apartment. Jonathan was able to fit us in his busy schedule on short notice and helped us moved out and in to the new place on time. They took extra precautions with the furniture which I REALLY APPRECIATE and were able to do the job in the time quoted. To me that is a sign of a professional. Horrible customer service. I have to move to Houston on short notice (under 2 weeks) and am calling every mover to get prices. That way I can decide what first fits my budget best along with good reviews. Upon calling this office i quickly explained my apartment type and move type. I am on a walk up which I know incurs extra charge and this man immediately stated that it wouldn't be easy. I'm sorry but you are movers it should be common practice to deal with a variety of housing. Secondly, he said I had to send an email but I was calling as I am moving soon so I don't have time to check a million email quotes. So I said well I rather you give me a price on the phone and the gentleman proceeded to tell me oh you are just shopping around for a cheap price. Of course everyone wants a cheap price if possible but customer service and reviews outweigh that for me. At this point I told the man I don't appreciate his condescending attitude and I shall take my business elsewhere. I cannot vouch for the service but if customer service is this deplorable it makes me question if it is worth using them despite their glowing reviews. Also I shall not mention with whom I choose but it was neither the lowest nor the highest price but the phone service was excellent. As someone who has done a lot of administrative jobs and a lot of phone calls I know how challenging it can be and am usually very understanding as phones are a crappy job! These guys were awesome. Professional, friendly, and fast. I scheduled a move for noon on Friday then got told that my apartment wouldn't be ready until 5pm. They already had a move scheduled at 4:30 and were kind enough to make it a late night and unload my stuff around 9pm with no complaint. Then 4 days later I called them back to do an emergency move back to Houston from Austin. They were so nice especially when I was going through such a rough time and in a panic. The house we moved into has wood floors, and Jonathan took time to remind us to get felt strips on our furniture and even reminded me via text after the move. I had Jonathan move me from Bee Caves to Lakeway. In all aspects, Harder's Movers facilitated the best move I've ever had. They were on time (a little early even), extremely fast and very careful with my stuff. The majority of my things were going to be put in a garage/storage unit and they were very careful to make items as easy to access as possible. I have a fair amount of antique furniture and it was all well protected and was delivered in the same condition that it left. I hired Jonathan and company for a move from the Austin area to Colorado. This was an all-inclusive move - With the exception of the things that fit in my car, a set of delicate speakers and a few personal items, Harder's Movers did all the packing, loading, and unloading. These guys bust ass. A crew of seven showed up at 7AM to do the packing and loading of my 2800 sf property, and they finished by about 3PM, taking only a couple of short breaks for water and lunch. A few days later, a pair of guys showed up in Colorado for the unloading. They kept at it in the face of rain, sleet and only stopped for a break when the hail got bad, finishing in about 5 hours from when they started. For an additional fee, they even got rid of furniture that the previous owner left. The only caveats I have is that, for an interstate move, you may have to negotiate dates, as Jonathan will attempt to line up moves to the same location to save his company money. Also, these guys will pack anything anywhere to save space - Things that I think are missing will turn up packed inside other things. There are still a some items that I haven't found, but I'm now confident that they'll turn up somewhere. These small things aside, I'd hire these guys again in a heartbeat. read more

Had such great experience with Jonathan and his team I had to share! We had to move out of our landscape yard with little notice and I called Harder's Movers purely based on the amount of positive reviews they had and I made a great decision doing so. Met with Jonathan same day to review our items we needed to move and was on his schedule the next week. He provided optional pricing (lump sum/hourly) and I planned on the lump sum price to ensure I knew the amount prior to scheduling, but based off of a conversation we had, Jonathan and I decided hourly was the way to go. Moving day came and not only were they on time, they came prepared to move and move quick! They were done in less than 4 hours and it was cheaper than the lump sum option. Who does that?!? Jonathan and his crew were great! We were moving from a second story apartment to a 2 story house. Not the easiest but these guys sure made it look that way. They were fast and professional. Made an estimate before the move, so no surprises on the cost. He was quick at responding and our items were moved with only a small minor scuff on the wall in which he deducted from the price, which i thought was pretty cool. My dad had made breakfast tacos and we gave a few to him and his workers. When it came time to tip.... he said the tacos were enough!! I didn't think so!!! Gave me an hour window of when they would arrive for moving and came within that time frame. Was very communicative during the entire process. During the move they were extremely efficient and moved things at a rate faster than I expected. This review is long overdue. Jonathan is great! I saw "is" because I've used him for several little pick ups after our big move. He moved our stuff into a portable unit then again into our house. He was more concerned about all our stuff not getting damaged than we were. The way he packs a crate or truck is like he is playing a game of Tetris. I was shocked that he was able to get everything safely in. I originally found him on Yelp. I hired him because of his reviews and as I mentioned continued to use him. For the little stuff like dressers, fridges, etc, I just shoot him a text and he fits me in. He makes it way to easy to buy crap off of Craigslist.
