I hate to write this, I really do, but I wish I would've seen the 1.5-star rating before we made a spontaneous decision to turn in here just to beat a huge line at Cook Out and use the bathroom, all so we didn't get back late to a tournament in town. Although ordering was no issue, and the people seemed genuinely nice, I cannot recommend for the food. My list of issues, and I should note, we made no complaints or special requests. I only asked that the chicken sandwich be made fresh for the reason stated below. 1) Men's bathroom needed attention. (The way the toilet looked might've been the red flag, but I hope it doesn't foreshadow anything in our future.) 2) Soda machine needs service. Water sprays everywhere, the Power Aid was just syrup, and the Coke Zero was not, but it was Diet Coke. There is a difference guys!! Note: by this point we'd already ordered. 3) They announced our food was ready, but they were waiting on the fries because they had to change the oil. They literally said (and repeated) it was nasty, and they would not serve food fried in that to anyone. Note: So I thought, "wait, my son's fried chicken sandwich is "ready?" Yep, I asked for a new one to be cooked in the new oil. But they had not yet changed the oil they fry the chicken in, and the lady said it was "probably" as nasty as the fry oil. But she said it would be changed. Then, they kept saying the oil was taking a while to warm up. Suspiciously, somehow our food was suddenly ready. We had to go, so I switched our dine-in order to go. 4) The fries tasted like peanuts. (Guess they fry them in peanut oil now?) 5) My sandwich, and my wife's hot dog did not look appetizing. We ended up only eating our fries...after we got used to the unfamiliar taste...and threw away the rest. My son, and hopefully he's alright, powered through a chicken sandwich he later said he was a little worried about. Hopefully, and I really mean this, our concerns are all unfounded. read more

UPDATE: Re-tried this location on 6-27-25. Used the app to pick up the food. It wasn't ready when I arrived and I had to wait 12 minutes for it to come out. I live barely 2 miles from the location and the food was cold and tasted nasty. Never, ever, ever, ever again! Deleted app immediately! read more

Just visited the Conover location and was devastated at the nastiness of the place. It has been a while since I visited this location and was appalled at how dirty it was compared to prior visits. There were cup marks on the windows sills that looked like they had been there for a while. I don't think the floor had been mopped for a while as my shoes stuck to the floor where I sat. i made the mistake of visiting the restroom before I left and found it grimy. Someone needs to power spray the walls and floor as there is caked on dirt around the floor edging. The Health Department would have a field day at this location and would probably close them down. read more

Rude, rushing us through the drive-thru line, poor customer service, and the sandwich tasted awful! This was all around the worst experience I've ever had at a Hardee's. The moment we started ordering, the lady was completely rude. I had 2 items to order, and rushed us to the price after one, and seemed to be really annoyed that I had one more item to order. The order didn't get any better when we pulled up in-person. Rude, rude, rude. Wasted money and poor service. I WOULD NOT recommend going here! You will be highly disappointed! read more

Pulled up on Saturday morning and their entire breakfast menu was up. When I preferred my second item the manager said they weren't doing breakfast. Confused, because my first item was breakfast I said "oh you're whole menu is still on breakfast out here." To which she cut me off and said "no it's only the items on the right hand side." I went to continue my order, was met with silence for two minutes and then told to pull around before my order was finished where it was clear they didn't get my whole order. The manager was still very rude, didn't say anything to us other than our total. Will not be returning to this location. New to the area, we decided to try breakfast at this Hardee's. We usually enjoy their biscuits but today we got one of the breakfast bowls and ordered an extra biscuit to go with it.. what we opened was someone else's food, or so it looks. It was broken and half and when we put it together it had a chunk missing from it... do they really let door go out this way...? I know it's fast food but I'm sure they can see when they put a biscuit in a wrapper that's not even remotely together... we will not be going back. read more

Hot dog was much too spicey and had no slaw. This was a very disappointing purchase. The hot dog was too spicey for me to eat so I took only two bites and then I trashed it. I drove into Newton and bought a good hot dog at the fish place on D street. read more

Slowest, most disorganized mess I've seen. Took 20 mins to get 2 breakfast sandwiches. I'm actually still waiting so longer than 20 mins. Fully staffed so I'm not sure what their problem is but do not come here. Especially if you're in a hurry. read more

I would give this place NO stars if I could. I popped in for breakfast on a Saturday morning. I've never really eaten at Hardee's (it's been at least 25 years), but some friends were going, so I joined. I ordered the pork chop and gravy biscuit because it looked yummy in the picture and my friend said it was pretty good. I waited 10 minutes to order in line, then another 10 minutes to get my biscuit. Apparently they were behind on the pork chop biscuit making because the kitchen pit out about ten of them at once. I took my biscuit happily to my table, opened it, and then unhappily started opening it up because I didn't see any gravy on it. When I did, there was a small nickel size of gravy on one side, and I'm not talking a blob, I mean a splotch. I noticed the manager behind the counter so I asked her if I could have a small side of gravy. She replied, "There is already gravy on the biscuit." I told her there wasn't, and showed her with my fingers in a circle exactly how much there was. She told me that was what they were required to put on the biscuit. I pointed to the picture above her head and told her that's not what their advertisement portrayed. I then asked her again if I could have a small side of gravy. She said, "then I'll have to charge you $1.70". I was not rude to the manager, but she was very rude to me. There were approximately 10-15 customers waiting around the register area, to either order or waiting on their order. I could see several people surprise that she spoke to me the way she did. I'm pretty sure I can go another 25 years without giving Hardee's my business again! read more

This is the worst place I have ever been and I am 58 and gone out to eat frequently over the years. I tried to be patient with messing up my order, and with the filthiest kitchen I have ever seen but being ignored by the entire staff when I went inside to inquire about the rest of my order was just ridiculous. If this is Hardees then I will NEVER grace a Hardees door again! And believe me when I say, this is only a small part of the aggravation I felt while there and tried to calm down before writing. read more

Wanted a breakfast biscuit saw the hardees thought thats great love hardees biscuits. I was at baptist hosp winston -salem & NC stopped at the hardee's beside of it. I went thru drive thru and got a sausage & egg biscuit. Took one bite and realized it was from the previous day, it was horrible, I don't recommend this place. read more

I got 2 sausage biscuits. One was fine the other was missing a portion of sausage. Biscuits tasted fine. Management did correct problem by replacing bad biscuit. Staff was friendly. They were a little slow to bag my food considering there was only one other customer. Just check your biscuits to make sure they are correct. read more

Took over 15 minutes to wait for our food to get done. This is the only reason why it isn't getting full stars. The food could have been a little warmer but otherwise it tasted really good. Also an employee who came out said she had been arguing with management about something so maybe the reason for the wait was bad management? read more

This place is exactly what you expect for fast food. The employees were courteous and helpful. The restaurant was clean. The food was ok. My mother and kiddo loved their fries. Their buffalo chicken sandwich was not that good - too much less than stellar sauce. read more

I worked across the street from this place for years and after constantly tring to give them a chance. I gave up I would go order breakfast with no other customers in there and it would take at least 15 mins....one of my co workers took his hot dog back three times before they got it right!
