The sushi here is delicious, but the service is terrible! I have been sitting at the bar area for 25 mins and have not been offered and wasabi or ginger. As I am writing this review I ordered something and the sushi maker maker heard me and gave me attitude and that clearly made me realize I will no longer be coming here. You the the young men flirting with young women customers and you can hear the employees curse. I will be going to Big Tuna from now on because of Harbors terrible service. Let me start off with saying that before coming here I absolutely hated sushi! I was very skeptical about coming here but everyone I knew convinced me to give it a try because this was the "best" sushi restraunt according to them, and let me say they weren't wrong. The sushi here is amazing!!!! I am now in love with it. The chefs here definitely know what they are doing. Great quality food for a price well worth it. I did the all you can eat and I was stuffed the entire day. If my stomach didn't tell me to stop I would have kept going! It's nice and clean here and the staff is friendly. I will most definitely be back here again and again and again. Not only do I now LOVE sushi but it's now my favorite food hands down thanks to harbour! The food is fair for what you pay but the staff sucks. No management on site. I ask for the supervisor because they refuse the service to 2 people in our party due to them showing up later than the rest of us but no one on site to talk to. We where told the bar was reserved by the staff. Wtf since when are you able to reserve the bar? Even some of the staff was saying that is a first come first serve basis. At the end we decided to leave and not make a big deal because it's not fair to the other clients that this people are so unprofessional and ignorant but I guess that's what you get when the establishment pays cheap for labor and chefs. read more

Great food good prices, for a nice inexpensive dinner date you can't go wrong at this place. Their eel is amazing. I can't ever go there without ordering one of the black dragon rolls. The only thing I think this place should improve on is the service. I can't stand having to wait on someone to take my money... they should attend to the guests a little more that way when we're ready to leave, we don't have a 20 min wait just to pay. Unfortunately, I will never eat here again. The sushi was good, and I have always been a fan of their specialty rolls; however, tonight I had a terrible experience with the edamame. There was a half-inch long worm inside one of the pods that I unknowingly bit into. When I alerted the waitress, I was told the only thing the restaurant would do would be to give me and my boyfriend 10% off of our meal. I spoke with the manager, who among many other things told me that the worm would not "make [me] sick" because the edamame was "organic". He called me greedy when I told him 10% off was not going to cut it because finding that worm in my mouth made me physically ill. We got our meal compensated, but as we walked out the door, the manager shouted "Greedy!!" at us before rushing back inside. Never eating here again. read more

Went here because of their reviews but was very disappointed. The sushi is ok, tolerable even but will not return. Quality is just not on point as a would wish, I ordered some tuna sushi and couldn't finish them. If you're a sushi junkie you'll know what I'm taking about. I ordered chicken katsu... it was flavorless and bland. The katsu sauce was good but the chicken itself just lacked any flavor. My wife ordered a combo. Her tempura was fine but her spicy tuna roll was beyond bad. It was mush. It was more like the consistency of canned tuna rather than tuna sushi. Based on the previous reviews, my adult son and I decided to give Harbour a try. The atmosphere was pleasant, the music eclectic, the staff was helpful and friendly, but the sushi was mediocre. My son commented that it reminded him of Sam's club "sushi". Disappointing. We also ordered a couple of appetizers. One was called Albacore Collar; it was excellent. The other was Baked Green Mussels; which had a great flavor, but was served at room temperature. Quite unfortunate. Considering my one Harbour experience, I'm baffled that people can rave about their sushi. I don't see any reason to return. It's been difficult to get quality sushi in the A.V. So far, Shogun is the best. Unfortunately their service has rarely been adequate. Hope this helps. read more

My wife and 1 year old daughter went to Harbour for dinner on a Sunday and we loved it. The food was great and the service was excellent. I got the $25 all you can eat feast and did some serious work. Urchin, sweet shrimp, rainbow roll, dragon roll, tempura, eel, and on and on. Can't wait to bring my friends/family. If you enjoy rolls go elsewhere. They try to serve the same rolls with different presentation. It was only after I sent them back that I received the actual rolls described in the menu. It took them an additional 30 minutes for two rolls at 3pm on a friday. Poor service/bad chefs. Will not recommend to anyone I know. read more

So let me start my review off by saying I used to love this place, pretty good sushi, amazing baked mussels , but after today will no longer be coming back. We walked in a little after 11:30 which is the POSTED time on the door , there was already quite a few other people waiting , not one worker was to be seen, about 10 minutes later a very pregnant and very rude server finally comes in sets her stuff down and immediately walks past all of the customers waiting in the wait area , does not say a single word to anyone. She goes in the back and starts brining out stuff to set up the store to which was very confusing because like I said it is stated on the building they open at 11:30. She contunues to walk around setting up stuff and eventually the sushi guys come out and start doing there prep, everyone waiting inside is starting to get very upset a few people eventually leave some of us stayed, after some time of being very rudely ignored my boyfriend goes to ask the sushi chef who is a thicker built man with a beard what time they opened because we were all very confused about the poor service in which the man yelled at him WHAT DO YOU WANT WE OPEN AT 12 NOW ON SUNDAYS! And we all walked out because it was so insane how rude everyone was, I've never been treated like this and there is no where posted that they now open at 12 on Sundays and to be little your customers the way you did is ridiculous. I decided to spend my 21st birthday lunch here and it was a huge mistake the server refused to serve me a drink.. on my 21st birthday!!! She claimed the restaurant was only allowed to serve alcohol TWO DAYS AFTER your 21st birthday.. there is no sign in the restaurant stating that. Another server came to my table to see how we were doing, my boyfriend explained the situation and asked her to speak to her manager come to find out they are allowed to serve me, our waitress just didn't want to, we were already done with our food so I didn't want a drink anymore it RUINED my birthday lunch. The food is good don't get me wrong but they offer some pretty shitty service I'm never coming back but if you're fine with being treated like trash stop by. In the past I would always order Togo as well and the hostess girls are very mean, they have zero customer service skills and make you feel un-welcomed. read more

DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT go to this restaurant! -(if you want to call it that!!) I have been to Sushi Bars before and I have never had an experience like this one!! I took my family member out for lunch for the "All You Can Eat" choice at the bar; first of all when we were being seated the bar was dirty and I had to ask them to clean it-which at most places they do before seating you. I didn't make a big deal out of it but that was just the first among many problems! There where 2 chefs behind the bar that I thought were there to prepare the sushi/sashimi we were ordering instead they spent most of the entire time preparing orders that were actually called in-to-go and also orders for the patrons eating at the tables. (one family) There were actually only 4 people at the bar 1 couple and my family member and I... we all sat there watching them make meal after meal for whoever called i an order while we sat there for over 30 minutes being offered nothing, absolutely nothing!! We were all waiting patiently but then enough was enough! After eating one order of rolls the other couple left and I just waited hoping the service would eventually improve. I asked how long we would have to wait before we could get a roll made and was told that they would make it right away, yet after a few more minutes I was still just waiting... (crickets) Then I asked the waitress if she could refill our drinks-since that's what we had been doing, just-sipping our beverages... and told her that nobody had refilled them since we got there... the waitress had the nerve to tell me did I ask my server, the only other person walking around from time to time was at the register and there were no specific servers, so what did she mean? I didn't understand why she was going back and forth with me about our empty cups, when all she had to do was apologize and fill them up... apparently too much work for her because she did not! Instead she walked off back to doing "nothing" and I had to ask the man behind the register and he did it finally! My family member also finally got her roll, by then I was turned off and decided I didn't want anything else! I got up to pay the check-over 60$-(for what idk)? I asked for the manager... I was told that there was no manager in at the time but that the manager-"Daisy"-would be there later if I wanted to make a complaint. That's exactly what I did, called in later and asked to speak to the manager. After different people were getting on the phone telling me that she was busy, I said that I'd wait because I wanted to speak to her. Finally a man got on the phone saying he was her husband and I proceeded to tell him what happened, he cut me off in his broken english almost immediately, and told me that they- (obviously the rude waitress)- had told him something else and that it was too bad what happened but I need not call him and complain about it because there was nothing he could do! WOW! I wish I would have paid with a CC so I could've disputed the charge, then I bet there would've been something that he could have done! Point is that this place had the worst service! Didn't have any consideration for the diners already there, spending all the time on people picking up! The attitudes were not professional and courteous, and the yellowtail was cut extra thick and sloppy and the salmon cut the same way did not taste as fresh as it should! It was not crowded in this place for the service to be that horrible and upon calling to make a formal complaint regarding the less than par demeanor of things, I was talked to disrespectfully and unapologetically, after I spent enough money there for a decent lunch. I was completely disappointed and dismayed by the common crappiness of this Palmdale eating establishment, and am concerned if this is the way the locals accept things in these parts, I truly hope not! I wanted to make sure that anyone contemplating spending money here is fully aware of my experience and takes this occasion into consideration before wasting your time and your money! Learn from my mistake!! Don't go home getting a headache and then later on have a stomach-ache! This was definitely not worth it at all! I will know better for sure next time, not to trust the "Harbour" to any chance of a good time; I must admit I will "Harbor" a grudge against them, and tell everyone I know about this "Extreme Bad Dining Experience!!" (I am a secret food critic and one of my family member's work for the board of health) Definitely time for a pop inspection! Good luck, no good riddance!! "'Aint nobody got time for that!" Even in the A.V. C'mon it's 2014 and we expect, no we demand better! These are the kinds of places that will give you food-poisoning, and then try to cover up for it! FOOD POISONED!! We've been coming here weekly for several months. Up until last weekend, we thought Harbour was decent for the price and area...nothing spectacular, but filled the void when we can't make it down to LA. Anyways, last weekend, my husband and I both got the worst food poisoning of our lives. An hour after eating, my husband was running to the bathroom and continued to do so for several days and ended up with a high fever as well. For me, the next day I was violently throwing up non-stop with a fever also. My husband was out sick from work for two days, in addition to ruining our precious weekend. Just left the Harbour Sushi Restaurant and boy was I ever fooled by the numerous positive reviews. The only positive about tonight was that we were seated less than the 20 minute wait. Once we ordered, it took 15 minutes just to bring out our drinks. Yet another 10 for the glass for my beer. Did they have to wait until someone was done with their beer so that I could use that glass? My father in law got his teriyaki chicken out in about 35 minutes and me and my husband got an order of one of our 2 rolls in about 40 minutes. And of course, they gave us someone else's order. WOW really? In another 15 minutes my nephew got his California roll. We waited another 25 minutes and still didn't get the rest of our order which was just basic sashimi which should have been out from the beginning. I went to the front and asked for my check. I had to tell the cashier that we hadn't received half of our order and now it's been 1 hour and 40 minutes since we were seated. No apologies on their part. To make this even worse, this was my husbands birthday dinner. We should have never strayed from goldfish. Way better service and for what little food we did get from our order, goldfish is second to none. This was by far, not just for sushi but the worst restaurant we have ever been to.
