Very good ceviche and pisco sours. Nice family style dishes. Food was reasonably priced though the pisco sours were $14 each- but perhaps that is the going rate these days. Everything was fresh and had a very good taste. I did not like the ambience - half sports bar, half family restaurant- with the large TV playing sports. The music was also a little too loud. A comfortable and casual option near the train station. The crab cake appetizer had good flavor. The onion rings were heavily battered without much onion flavor. The Shrimp Po Boy was not like you would find in New Orleans, but was adequate. The cocktail offerings are limited, but tasty. The service was attentive. read more

What a wonderful surprise, old name, new owners with a Peruvian flair. We crisscrossed the menu - from shrimp ceviche to the rotisserie chicken and then back again from the fried trout to yucca fries. An inside source tipped us off to the fried chicken - crisp beyond crisp, a bronzed, crunchy succulent bird rewarding us bite after bite. The plump ceviche shrimp were bright, the citrus tart, the herbs bountiful - every forkful a reward. The yucca fries were golden on the outside and molten on the inside - a fun alternative to the fries (which could have been hotter upon arrival). A little Saturday night impulse led us to the Pisco Sour, the classic Peurvian cocktail which is frothy, tart and tangy - a kiss of freshly ground nutmeg atop - what a delight - like a roundtrip ticket to Macchu Picchu! The space was clean and comfortable and the service was impeccable. We did have the advantage of the owner's son being a classmate of our son, so tips like the off menu fried chicken and extra-kindness were plentiful. Yum! read more

Terrific find. Went up to the Groton Gorge Park in Croton on the Hudson for a hike. When we we're done, we wanted seafood. Found this place on Yelp and i thought it looked good. Quaint, cozy and everything was yummy and fresh. We ordered a dz oysters, dz little necks, calamari, the clams stuffed with crabmeat (special) and the crab cakes. Plenty for four people and we all agreed everything was perfect! We were all hungry and everything looked great we forgot to snap some pics of the food lol. read more

My son and I had a great experience here last night. We were out running an errand in Elmsford, saw it was late, and decided to be spontaneous and "find a restaurant". So we just drove in a random direction and kept driving until suddenly we were in Mammaroneck in front of Harbour Fish Restaurant. It was a Friday night, and the neighborhood we found ourselves in seemed like it too was exhausted by a long week. But shining brightly in the weary night - was this Harbour Fish Restaurant. I suggested to the seafood-skeptical 14 year old that perhaps it was fate that led us there, and he leaned into that possability. We went in. The gentleman who greeted us was incredibly welcoming and friendly. It was late - almost 9PM - but we were offered our choice of table without being hurried at that moment or at any time throughout our meal. To keep it basic for the kid, we got Guacamole for appetizer which was above-average, and the Popcorn shrimp which was potentially the best I've ever had. Although not too much of a shrimp person, my son inhaled the plate like an 80's yuppy on a cocaine bender. The shrimp, the breading, the sauce - just straight-up fantastic. He got what should have been the worse thing on the menu at a seafood restaurant - the Penne Alla Vodka with chicken - which he said he enjoyed. I got the Paella which was excellent - and was the first time I really felt open and good about the clams and mussles or oysters that were in it. Shrimp? Chorizo? I'm in. But those other shellfish I was always a bit squeamish about. But after this Paella - no more. I'm in. Horizons expanded. Better late than never. The place seemed a bit too good and nice for it's location, and although we were there late, we were the only people there. We hope they "make it". The food was too good and the service too nice for their dream not to live. We tipped 25%, said a secular prayer wishing them the best, and and emotionally RSVP'd for a future visit. Dinner with a friend and we stopped in here for dinner - there were four of us. First, the place offers a price fix menu and it is definitely worth it as it's $45 per person and you get three choices for your meal. We each chose something and shared amongst ourselves. We ordered the caesar salad, iceberg wedge, fried calamari and sauteed mussels with garlic. We also ordered the fried oysters as we love fried oysters. For the main entree, we ordered the broiled whole snapper and it comes with vegetables, the broiled branzino as the flounder wasn't available and it was substituted, the branzino with caper sauce and the sauteed salmon and we asked for risotto instead. We finished off with the key lime pie, cheese cake, two scoops of ice cream and had the brownie as the drunken cake wasn't available. I will tell you, very large portions and we wound up taking half of the red snapper home, the salmon and all the sides that we didn't finish and the cheesecake. Definitely worth a visit as service and food was very good. I'll come back the next time I'm in town. read more

I wanted this restaurant to be a hidden gem I would return to as a nice date spot, especially since it is brown-owned. Unfortunately no part of my experience will encourage me to ever come back. I booked a spur of the moment reservation with my fiancé at 630pm on a Friday. When we entered the place was at about 50% capacity, we were greeted and seated immediately. The decor is simple - nothing bold, unique, or out-of-this-world. That's the last positive thing I have to say... I ordered the clam chowder, fiancé ordered oysters. My chowder was standard, nothing crazy but got the job done. The oysters weren't sufficiently shucked and required an inconvenient amount of effort to actually get to the meat for each piece. For entrees I got the pan-seared salmon with garlic sauce and risotto - fiancé got the lobster tail, garlic sauce, yellow rice. We waited a long time for that food to come out. So much so that the place got packed, closer to 90% capcity. A couple came in and sat at the table next to us and co-signed our sentiments. Once they finished their apps and we finally got our entrees they couldn't help but peak over at us. They heard me make a negative comment about my meal (more on that shortly) and kindly asked for our opinion. I politely stated that this wasn't my favorite seafood experience to which the gentleman replied that "the food here is like diner food and on top of that we're waiting forever!". My fiancé and I looked at each other and couldn't dispute a word he said. It was at that moment we asked for the check and left extremely disappointed. Details on the entree: my salmon was dry and didn't have much flavor. A bit too charred at some parts and the risotto was nothing to write home about. The lobster was overcooked and flavorless. I'm always here to support businesses of color but my support isn't at the expense of my time and money. This establishment wasnt up to par and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The only saving grace would be an excuse: the place got packed rather quickly and the staffed seemed illprepared to handled that capacity. If you're in the Mamaroneck area, you have to stop by Harbour Fish Restaurant. Started with the Oysters and they were very fresh and meaty. Also had the wings and they had great flavor. The salmon was a nice portion and cooked perfectly. Ended wit the Scallop pasta that came with a delicious sauce and a nice portion of shrimp and scallops! The star of the show had to be the Snapper. It's a whole fish cooked on a cedar plank. The fish was tender, flaky and so flavorful ! Beautiful intimate ambience with great lighting from outside. The staff was so friendly and attentive, you have to stop by if you're in Westchester and enjoy seafood. They have so many dishes to enjoy ! read more

This restaurant is beautiful, the service was great and the chef is very friendly. The food was all extremely delicious and the chef came out to ask how everything tasted and made sure everyone was happy. Everything was very clean and again the food was absolutely DELICIOUS! The prices were very good for a seafood restaurant as well. There is also steak and non seafood items for kids. This is the perfect location for a family meal or a date night. We're really not very picky however it seems to have gone through some changes recently with drastic consequences. Pretty bad experience today with mains taking 1.5 hours to arrive and out of sort. Front of the house (single waiter but trained more as a bus boy) missed a lot of the basics: knowing the menu, confusing suggestions, not setting expectations, refilling water, missing/wrong orders. Back of the house staff (single cook?) seemed to be unapologetically overwhelmed, unfriendly. Tipped normally as it seems like an ownership/management issue. read more

But after getting screwed on my last 2 orders, first bad clams and now a lobster roll, that had more apples than lobster, they deserve this review, for what I believe is purposely cheating a delivery customer. This afternoon my Son and I decided to try Harbour since we were in the area. Overall it was enjoyable with a couple of things that could stand improvement. The service was excellent. Our server, who I think is also one of the owners, paid close attention to detail, and made sure we were well served throughout the meal. We ordered 2 bottles of Artesa Los Carneros Chardonnay, which was ok but not outstanding. (Their wine list is pretty small with not too many interesting choices.) At the beginning they brought us bread, which was good, but there was no butter, and the olive oil was stale. We started off with lobster bisque, which was delicious; but the lobster in the soup was tough to chew. We also ordered caesar salad. It was pretty good and seasoned with garlic (a huge portion). For our main course we ordered broiled lobster with baked potato. My Son's lobster was tender, and he enjoyed it, but mine was tough and hard to chew. It is possible it was overcooked because some of the shell was black, or it may just have been the lobster itself (hard to tell). I didn't like the large amount of garlic they used to season the breading on top of the lobster. It took away from its natural taste. For dessert, we ordered key lime pie (a little different from what I was used to), which was pretty good, and a cappuccino (very good). This is a small, comfortable restaurant with numerous tables. located on a busy road (a bit of a nightmare to access). We were one of two groups dining during the time we were there. Hopefully they get busier at later hours. I didn't much care for the pop music playing in the background. I made the mistake of sitting at the table right under the speakers, and found it rather annoying. This restaurant is not cheap. Some of the dishes are on the high end, but you have to consider that they are in a high rent, high tax area. Our bill, before tip, was $300, but half of that was the wine. All in all, if I am ever in the area again, I would consider returning, but there are also a lot of other interesting options to try. read more

Wanted to find a nice place for fish on-a Friday so I decided to try this place since the reviews were good. We started with the shrimp empanada and crab cakes. The empanada had mash potato. It was crispy and so flavorful. The crab cakes were so delicious with a nice sauce. I had the linguini with shrimp and scallops with the lobster sauce. Hands down one of the best pasta dishes I ever had. The scallops were sweet and perfectly cooked and the shrimp were large and had the right snap. The sauce was so good too! It is a must have. I am already thinking about having it on my next visit. The cakes are home made and the cheesecake was creamy and wonderful. The pistachio tartufo was so good! Coffee was also great. The severs were knowledgeable, attentive and polite. Run don't walk here - you will not be disappointed. read more

Our first experience at this new restaurant since its opening. It was the bar's opening night. We ordered drinks and my boyfriend's Old Fashion drink was disappointing and had to be sent back. My wine was overpriced and mediocre. As well as the appetizers & entrees. Overall, overpriced menu for ordinary seafood dishes. The ambiance was bland. Was hoping for better. My wife had Seafood Paella and it was average at best, and heavy tomato base, which was a little weird. I had the Ribeye, ordered it medium, came medium rare, and unevenly cooked. They also didn't season steak at all, just the peppercorn sauce on side, which I had no choice to use to give it some taste. Quaint, unassuming restaurant on Mamaoneck Ave. Service was excellent, plentiful and reasonably priced. Went this evening to celebrate wife's birthday. Started with appetizers; shrimp empanadas, flavorful and actually had pieces of shrimp that you could taste; fried shrimp well seasoned and crisp and fried calamari delicious. Main dishes included cajun snow crab legs, light, airy and tast, branzino and broiled red snapper. All were absolutely delicious and so well seasoned. I was surprised at the quality and you are made to feel like you are a guest in someone's home. Drinks were great in that you knew you had alcohol and not just ice!! I took my mother to this place because she loves seafood and has been overloading on Italian food lately. We went early on a Friday night. We had a reservation, but probably did not need one. I had looked through th menu ahead of time to get an idea of what I might like. That when out the window when the waiter gave us a priced fixed 3 course dinner menu as well as the regular menu. After some comparison I decided that 3 courses for $45 was a better than choosing from the main menu. There were still lots of choices on the price fixed menu. I had the fried calamari appetizer, which came super hot. They were pretty good. My mother had a Ceasar salad which is something she orders everywhere and she said it was very good. My entree was bronzino with capers and my mother had mussels, clam, and shrimp over vegetables. Honestly, my fish was on the salty side, but that is what happens with capers. My mother's dish looked good and healthier that having over pasta, which is what I would have ordered. The desserts were limited on the price fixed menu. I had the rum cake which was good. Oddly my mother got the 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream that was not very good. It lacked good vanilla flavor like it was a bargain brand from a super market. The servers were very attentive and the food came out quickly, and hot from the kitchen. It is not a big place so when we got there we were only one of three full tables and by the time we left, the restaurant was 3/4 full and much noisier. If it was full I am sure it would be difficult to hold a conversation. There was no acoustical treatment so sound bounced around a lot. Actually, there was very little in the way of decoration in the place considering it is called a fish house which conjures up all sorts of images. Overall the food was great. I want to go back again because the menu is very extensive and there are lots more things I want to try. Aside from tasteless vanilla ice cream (which is almost redundant) and a lack of decoration, there were no negatives. read more

A recent lunch was very disappointing. The seafood was poorly prepared. Frankly, it was inedible. This included the lobster bisque. The broiled cod was prepared in an old oil. The cod was also slimy and inedible. Others in our party also complained about their entrees.
