Tried both of the Coffee Ice cream and this is my pick for today. Next time I will try the espresso one.

Neat, happy colorful place, friendly & approachable staff! place is easy to find coz they are on the corner of the main tourist docking cruise ship spot.

Came back twice in the same week, after our first visit after completing a whale boat tour nearby. It was the closest ice cream shop. But we drove out of our way to return later that week because our boys liked it that much. Ice cream is creamy and special made. Lots of flavors to choose from. Bubble gum ice cream has real gum drops in it.

Can't stop drinking my shake long enough to snap a photo!

After a day on the water, we came back in time to have a Peanut Butter Shake with Death by Chocolate ice cream and peanut butter sauce. It was rich and delicious and just what we were craving. And the service was great: super friendly and quick. The next time I'm in Seward, I hope to come back!

Came in on a Friday evening around 7pm and was one of two patrons in the place. Several different flavors of ice cream but mostly just your standard fare. Moose tracks ice cream was good but I only found two peanut butter cups in the scoop and the huckleberry was tasty but sadly very icy. Price was fair and I'd probably come back if in the area.

It looks like just an ordinary ice cream shop, but I was so pleasantly surprised at the flavors. My husband ordered huckleberry, while I ordered moose tracks. Both flavors were unique, yet not overwhelming. It was also just the right amount of creaminess. Sometimes I have a difficult time finishing a really thick scoop of ice cream, but this one was still light! It was very very easy to finish. What I loved about the moose tracks here is that they used mini peanut butter cups instead of the usual chocolate flakes. I would highly recommend here for a sweet treat!

Very good service and delicious ice cream and smoothies. Came for an ice cream while walking around shops and was not disappointed.

The service is good. Lots of options for ice cream. The two scoops I got were perfect. Butter pecan and Bordeaux Cherry both hit the spot.

They told us that they have fresh caught ones and can do a halibut burger quickly . I must say it was one of the most delicious fish Ive had, so soft, lighlt spiced and done! Tldr During my travels in Alaska, i had the chance to stay in cooper's landing. Its a pristine area with stunning lake, views and even moose sightings. Only on my last day did i take a chance to visit Sunrise Inn. Though we originally planned to do have the breakfast there, we had reached late and it was time for lunch.. Im reminded of one of the staff who was a native of Kodiak Island and insisted that if at all, we planned to travel to kodiak, we should consult her :) . Hopefully that comes true one day Till then.. cheers!

We stopped in today on the way back from Homer. We knew they had been up for sale for some time,…read moreand our server confirmed it was now under new management. The menu was different but I was happy to see they still had the chicken wrap on there. It went downhill from then. I asked for a Gold Medal Chicken Wrap, with crispy chicken (ranch was not an option, previously it was my go-to choice) you could have hot wings sauces, or honey BBQ - and this is my bad, I initially thought that it said honey mustard, so I said honey mustard. It came with a choice of tater tots onion rings or fries. I chose tater tots, but changed my mind to fries. Husband just ordered a piece of carrot cake. I was very disappointed with this wrap, not just in comparison to the wrap that used to be available, but just as a wrap being offered by a restaurant in general. The honey bbq sauce (I had asked for some on the side, to dip it into) was red. And I couldn't taste any BBQ smokiness. It was very tomatoey. I queried about my honey-mustard error, and she showed me the menu, and that mistake was definitely on me. I asked if she had some ranch I could use as a dip, and was brought some. So anyway, the wrap - loosely wrapped and quite floppy, and warm, as though it had been grilled or broiled, which rendered the lettuce leaf and tomato slice warm, limp and floppy. The previous wrap from Sunrise, and most other wraps in restaurants where I've had them, will serve an unwarmed tortilla with raw crunchy vegetables. The Sunrise previously did so - lettuce, diced tomatoes, diced red onion, shredded cheese, julienned carrots and crispy chicken in a cool creamy ranch dressing, it was a tightly wrapped, crunchy delight, and out of this world. I recommended it to anyone passing that way. The best thing I have to say about this one, is that there was plenty of chicken and it was tender. There was too much of the honey bbq sauce in it though, and the chicken wasn't crispy anymore, the breading had gone very soggy. It was a disappointment. As were the tater tots, when I had requested fries. The server was pleasant enough, and I tipped her well, but I wasn't happy with the food at all. Won't be returning anytime soon

The single story buildings are very…read morewell spaced with good sized buffers of trees separating them, giving a sense of isolation that you don't actually have. Well done. Further there are a couple of easy, scenic walks on the property. A 1 mile fairly flat nature trail through a wooded area and a 1-2 mile walk to and along the river, also fairly flat (albeit there is a hill with a phone at the bottom, Princess will send a shuttle to retrieve you). We used it as a base for walking the Russian River and Russian Lakes trail (to the first lake), both highly recommended. With more time we would have headed to Juneau Falls...there are a ton of hikes in the area, all which sound tremendous. Could also be used as a base for Seward and exploring the Exit Glacier/Harding Icefield hikes. Have fun! Oh. The rooms. Kinda rustic but clean and spacious, a wood burning stove and TV (used neither), balcony, and very importantly a laundry. Which we made good use of. Check in. We arrived at ~1:30 and lying in wait was a sugary sweet desk clerk who *very* sweetly and in no uncertain terms told us that check in was 3PM. The only thing missing was a "Bless your Heart". No wi-fi in the rooms, it is available in the lodge where there is a balcony tailor made for sipping wine and enjoying the river views.
