Stopped at this harbor freight looking for a plug in port wall charger for my phone cord. I had scene it at a different harbor freight. I have been to two harbor freight's and what I like about them is they are like home depot but with a mom and pop feel. They are small enough you don't get lost and come home with a half dozen things you didn't go there for. Price: I don't know the industry standard on tool and part prices or if they are made in China but they are affordable. You might find select exceptions and clearance specials at Home Depot, Walmart, and Costco but Harbor freight has a lot of discounts and free with the purchase of specials. I am satisfied with prices. I consistently get 20% off and a free pair of gloves. I feel like it is a place to go to but that part or tool you need once a year like a pair of work gloves or a wrench. 5 Atmosphere: Not a super retail store. This one is in a strip mall near fast food and nail salons. The inside was clean and quiet while I was there and o felt safe. 5 Staff: Quite professionals. They are big guys who look like the double for security but not threatening. 5 Service: I asked about specials and they directed me to their coupon area and their online sight. Also asked about the location of the item I came for and was correctly directed. 5 Value: with their specials and discounts I felt I more than got what I paid for and would do it again. I regularly come to this location to get tools and never had an unpleasant experience like I did today. as we entered the store a kind employee with blue hair notified and made me and my sister aware that they were closing soon. We were coming in the store with an idea of what we wanted. While we were looking around, an employee Dana, a white hefty women, asked us if we wanted any assistance with anything since they had just closed. She was rushing us and came at us with a rude attitude , which caught us by surprise and made us feel rushed and uncomfortable so we just decided to look as we were walking out the store, but she continued to just watch us and stayed around us so we didn't bother anymore to look and made our way out. as we did so, she was mocking us and our conversation which was about how we were unhappy and uncomfortable with how we were approached. We left frustrated and as we walked out that door, she looked at us, smiled, and waved in a taunting manner. hello, this isn't my first time here but this is my first time having a bad experience with a specific employee. I came into the store just to look at a few things and as I was walking towards the back the employee, by the name of Dana, a white hefty woman, came towards me and my brother in a very rude manner asking if we needed assistance with anything because "it was already 8" which is their closing time. we did not even notice that We came to the store so close to closing time, but I had told her that we were going to keep looking as we make our way to the front. we were just trying to look at what we came to purchase, but she kept following us closely making us feel very uncomfortable and rushed to get out of the store. We then stopped looking and just made our way out. as we were walking to the front, she was mimicking me and my brother and mocking everything we were saying. It was very childlike, and made us feel very frustrated. what added to our frustration was that there was two other customers in the store that she did not approach at all. I didn't want to think the worst right away but i couldn't help to think about how it was odd that she came up to me and my brother, whom are both young Mexicans, while the others were two older white males. just like many others, I have been in other stores near closing time where they never physically or verbally, try to rush or push me out the store. this could have been handled differently. they could have made us, the customers, feel welcomed and simply notified us to get whatever we need and make our way to the register when we are ready. I understand they want to close and go home but that doesn't give the excuse to be rude towards customers that wanted to spend their money at this store. I have worked in customer service and understand that sometimes customers can be rude and disruptive which can frustrate employees and cause a rude response from the employee, but I assure you that we were neither. I am unsure if I will ever be able to come back to this store without feeling some type of discomfort. The managers need to make sure that they hire employees who know how to properly deal and speak to ALL customers in a respectful manner. read more

I love this place because of the price. You kind of get what you pay for but I always go for throwaway paintbrushes, one-time use tools, and their sale items. Their staff doesn't seem to move from the front and so when you are looking for something you will not really find any staff member to help unless you ask the cash register people. And they can only point you in the right direction down isles, which is okay. Since everything here is pretty cheap I really can not complain much. read more

Again I visited this location because it's convenient for me. During this coronavirus issue that we're all dealing with, I visited the location for a few items I needed. Upon arrival they had a small waiting line in the front to limit the quantity of people in the store. The guy handling the line was friendly and respectful...got us in within a few minutes and thanked me for waiting. Great job here. Once inside, they had clearly taken the precautions seriously. Very clean, barriers at the register, a manager directed the guests on where to line up and did it with respect. Same manager (wish I got his name) rang me up and was very professional. Thanks to the manager and staff (and corporate) for keeping things safe and orderly during this time of uncharted territory. Brian Btw they are always nice at this location. Cashiers and some of the managers there really dont care about the costumers. They give you attitudes and can care less of the costumers needs. Very rude and unfriendly enviroment!! This has to be the worst experience ever at this location! The staff worker name Michael working cashier was by far extremely rude he did not have any customer service! I drove 30 minutes to your store to get the tool box on sale only to be told that the coupon couldn't be used on the tool box. This is very frustrating to get these coupons and go to buy something and for them to tell me that it doesn't apply to tool boxes. Nowhere on the coupon does it say this. On top of it all. Rich, the store manager was very rude and couldn't explain why the coupon doesn't work on tool boxes. This manager is so rude and doesn't act the the store manager at all. Just a guy that likes to argue. I will never step foot in the Moreno Valley harbor freight because of this manager. This place is the best, yeah it's really cheap but I won't spend hundreds of dollars on a tool I will only use once or twice a year. The store is always clean and in order. They give you 20% off in almost everything with the coupon you get in the mail, plus always something free, flashlight, scissors, etc. with your purchase. I've purchased about 50 products from them and never had an issue, they do offer extended warranty if you want your tools to be covered in case they brake. I would recommend this store if you are looking to save money on tools you don't use everyday. Went to HF in Moreno Valley ca Saturday was very disappointed to see them charging over 100% higher prices for rubber gloves during the pandemic. This is illegal in our state and doesn't say much for their customer care. I'm sure they have an excuse but I went to Lowe's and purchase the same size box off a pallet for near half the price. Glad they don't sell food. I ended up spending a total of $150 that HF lost over their greed. read more

Harbor Freight tools at the Sunnymead, MoVal location is not a good place to shop. The company sends out coupons that are not honored at this location. Even complaining to their customer service team has no merit. They only give a cursory look (no investigation) at the complaint and send a canned message basically telling the customer they can't read. No lines at this location, which is nice but I've had mixed results with customer service. One time I went while one crew was there and they were all really nice, friendly, and helpful. The next day, new crew, and the supervisor and employee working there were very rude, unfriendly, and unwelcoming. They actually started talking trash about another customer that just left right in front of me. I can only assume they did the same thing when I left, even though my returns were justified and it was only $40 out of a $250 order, one of many I have many for the past 10 years. The store manager (Rico?) and Joe (one of the supervisors) have always been really nice and cool with me but at least one of the supervisors and staff is really unprofessional. All of the employees at the Highland location are really friendly so I'll just try and go there when I get the chance. read more

Your Moreno Valley store over charged on our purchase Sunday 8-19-12. They say credit can not be issued without us returning to the store. That is a 40 mile round trip. Today was my first visit in the store and I really liked it. It was a coupon ad that came to my house that lead me there. They had a really good sale on blood pressure machines. $13.99 with coupon! The store is large, bright and very eclectic in terms of merchandise. I would not expect a hardware store to sell medical equipment. There are a LOT of good deals. Everything was on sale or priced very cheap. They also issue a LOT of coupons. I got a free battery tester for using the 20% off coupon! read more

I don't usually write reviews for hardware stores, but they REALLY impressed me today. I went in a for a Christmas gift but didn't know where to go. I ask but was sent to the wrong isle - Joe, one of the associates, saw that I was obviously looking without success for my item and approached me while he was putting some things away. He showed me where to go and answered my additional questions. As I walked through the store just looking around, I saw him doing the same with other customers and even offering additional information. He acted as an expert and was looking for people to help. Definitely a great experience because of him - while I also dealt with the retail manager and had some concerns with him, Joe made the experience a 5 all the way :) read more

I have placed 4 phone calls to Harbor Freight Tools parts support only to find out that they do not support replacement parts for their Plate Compactor. The drive belts wear out. They should have drive belts afterall the machine costs in excess of $500 and will not operate without them. Their customer support phone system is totally inadequate to handle the call volumes they recieve and often times you are hung up on. I spent 1 hour only to find out they don't have the part. read more

I walked up and down the isles looking for a fitting for my husband and couldn't find it but there was no employee anywhere to help me. I finally walked to the front and had to wait 20 minutes before someone can help me. They had the fitting but it took me over 35 minutes to get it and check out. Other than the fact it's typical Chinese quality products (sometimes that's good enough), this might be one of the last companies in the US that doesn't do returns without a receipt if you paid in cash. I didn't expect a cash refund without receipt but the commonly issued store credit, at least. Really? Think I'm done with HF. Ace, Lowes & HD are better options. Very impressed with the customer service I received at the location. I got a us general tool box for Father's Day and b day and the bottom was damaged. I called and they had no problem letting me know I can swap out the bottom due to the shipping damage. We took it back and they took care of me quickly with no questions. They even opened the new one just to make sure it was ok so I didn't need to go back. Helped me load and all. Great customer service keep it up. read more
