Watch out for these guys. I bought a small water pump yesterday. It worked for all of 5 minutes -- so I returned it to the store. "Oh, you need to return this on-line" they said. I insisted. I said I bought the pump here, I should be able to return it here. They returned it for me -- grudgingly -- and charged me a RESTOCKING FEE of $2. This for an item that didn't work in the first place. Add to that -- but the cashier became maudlin and angry about my return. Well, needless to say, WATCH OUT FOR THESE GUYS. Do not go in to this store my mother and I went in last night to buy a blower and gloves and other stuff we had to use the restroom and the associate Natalie said they were cleaning the restrooms so we walked by and we didn't see no one so than I asked again if it was ok to go in and if I can please have the code she said let me see if they're still cleaning it. So my mom and I walked by there was no wet sign nothing so my mom knocked on the door and we saw all three associates and my mother said I knocked no one answer. That's when another girl associate name Jolie said there closed for the night and that they're not going to open them because there cleaned. How are u going to deny restroom accesses to an elderly person or a customer. The services sucks they have rude associates I will not be going back. Two stars because they have a lot of tools at cheap prices. Then again, usually you get what you pay for. And I love tools, maybe because my dad was in the tool and hardware business, and he loved tools. Must be genetic :) But downgraded three stars because awful customer service. Our special request to the cashier when checking out was useless. So we asked to see the manager. That guy was curt, nasty, dismissive, and had obviously never read "How to Win Friends and Influence People." Or customers. Very unpleasant experience. Best part of our shopping experience? Usually a decent experience at Harbor Freight. Yesterday I called for a specific TV mount. They said they had plenty. I get there 15 minutes later and they don't have any. Frustrating. But it worked out in the end. HF usually beats everyone's prices but the tv mount was $50. I found it on Amazon for $33. read more

This has been the best Harbor Freight store I have been in hands down, the customer service is top notch. Had a battery charger go bad and the exchange was smoothest ever no questions at all, bought a few other things and forgot the coupons and the checker got some for me and saved me some cash. I went in for a few things that I needed. I wanted to get in and out due to the Coronavirus. I got what I needed and as I was walking up to the register the cashier Rose rudely said go to the other register I'm closing. She said it with an attitude, I felt belittled due to her saying it in front of the customer that she was cashing out. Another customer was walking to her register and she was rude to him too. I work in retail and I'm all about customer service. When she came back a few minutes later she yelled out I can help you here. I preferred to wait a little longer and get better customer service. The other cashier Leslie was total a different! She was very polite and even apologize for the way Rose spoke to me. The way Rose spoke and treated me I could tell it wasn't her first time treating a customer like that. Someone really needs to talk to her and re-train her on customer service. If she doesn't like her job or like dealing with customers maybe she should look for another place of employment. Not too sure about the quality of tools sold here. Mainly because my husband buys all the tools or equipment we need for the house or for his work. I am however, writing about the employees that work in this building. We tried to return a manufacturer defect pump my husband purchased ten days ago. We were told we couldn't not return the item because it was purchased more than five days ago. The item was purchased ten days ago, was defected and we had the receipt that stated items can be return with receipt up to 90 days from purchase. The African American manager on duty was very rude to my husband. He told my husband " I'm not calling you a lier but my employees are extremely well trained and would have explain to my husband that item bought with a purple sticker can not be return. First of all, the item purchased did not have the freakin purple sticker. Secondly, calling my husband a LIER was extremely unprofessional and down right insulting. This business has lost a loyal customer and I will tell my friends and family about the unpleasant experience. read more

I have always ran into customer service issues in this store. From the long line that always seems to be there, to the inability to not use my $30 membership card because they wouldn't take the time to look it up, to finally today. I bought the wrong trailer hitch drop. I am in the middle of moving and needed the correct trailer hitch drop. Of course I accidentally packed the receipt. Jennifer, the only Manager in the store actually said. "If you would just give me a minute, I will tell you your options". Which surprisingly involved me driving 25 miles again the following day to visit the store manager and hopefully that person might grant me the ability to exchange the item. I just have to mention that the cashier when we walked in after looking at her watch and said, "Well, look at that we close in 50 minutes".
