Happy accessories... Who doesn't love to accessorize...just adding that simple touches does make a difference and here the selections are just fun and unique making it a breeze to sassy yourself or your loves up. I got something for a bestie who lives in a cold city and decided to gift her a scare and Magic Shawl which they have a super cute and vast choices in super cute prints. The Magic Shawl has buttons for easy wear so I did get a few in different prints and got a little info demonstrating the different ways to drape it in fun and versatile ways...what a great value for just a simple item. They also have lots of bags, keychains and so more, the staff here is so friendly and helpful with any question I have, just love to shop here for my besties. Thank you!

This shop is in the Hilton Hawaiian village shopping area. It's not a large shop but they had some nice accessories to choose from in a limited selection. The sales person was friendly and very helpful. There were a lot of handbags and hats. I found a cute pair of earrings for my granddaughter that she loved. The items I looked at seemed to be of good quality and I'd come back again.

I am not a Happy Wahine today. I left two, 2-star reviews today and both on Valentine's Day, so I need to undo the unhappiness and give Happy Wahine a 4-star Yay! I'm a fan rating. Why the Yay, I'm a fan rating? Because this place has the most amazing, girly, cutesy, flowery and all things that I like. I purchased a shell keychain for $18.00, which is exorbitant, but I just had to have it. I tried looking on Amazon.com if they had the item I wanted but they did not (who else does this besides me? I even do it in Wal-Mart!) I would have bought more stuff in the store but it was way out of my budget. I understand, this being Ala Moana and all. Clerk was nice and friendly. I decided at the last minute at the register that I could not keep an $18.00 keychain, because looking at that keychain would make me feel guilty that I spent $18.00 on a keychain, so I asked for a gift pouch (free) and I gave it away as a gift.

Fluffy bunnies & puff balls! Get 3+ and 30% off

We were on the hunt for fluff balls to hang on our purses and to give as gifts and boy we were in luck! They had a special deal if you buy +3 fluff items from the rack you get 30% off! We ended up buying 3 fluff balls and 1 bunny and got deals! Be sure to check in on yelp bc you get a discount if you spend over $100! So happy with my little bunny, it's so soft and it's a perfect gift from Hawaii. Apparently it's made out of rabbit fur which is kinda sad but it also explains why it's sooo soft. Cute shop, good gifts, lots of girlie stuff. Cashier was super friendly and helpful in our fluff ball search. She helped us call other locations to make sure they had other colors and more of a selection. We will prob visit the other location to pick up additional colors for our family and friends. Everyone deserves a cute Pom / fluff ball for their purse!

RE-Post of review 3 days ago.... This is a BRAND NEW STORE AT ALA MOANA CENTER. Forget your troubles Come on get happy You better chase all your cares away Shout hallelujah Come on get happy..... After months of walking by this space, on the 2nd Floor of the Nordstrom wing next to Tempura Ichidai, this store suddenly appeared the other day from behind colorful billboards. It's easily accessible from 2 sides and their women's accessories are neatly displayed on shelves. Happy Wahine Boutique is a locally owned and operated business that features unique yet functional women's handbags and accessories. They mainly use vinyl or vegan leather and coated canvas. The styles are geared for carrying comfort (lightweight) and convenience (accessibility). All of the styles work well for our island life. The handbags and accessories are stylish with Hawaiian motifs or contemporary laser cuts. Prices ranged from about $15 to $80, from what I saw. The sales staff are friendly and smiley...you feel a welcoming Aloha when you enter or as you shop. Although I didn't buy anything, I had a very nice browse in this store and felt like their namesake...a Happy Wahine (woman)!

.Purse straps after using purse less than 20 times.
    Jessie C.

Very disappointing quality. I used this bag no more than 20 times over two years and the leather is peeling. I also bought a cross-body bag and within a few weeks, the strap separated from the bag. Happy Wahine was kind to fix the problem but it took several months. Cute bags but poor quality.

I bought a purse for my mom for Mother's Day that is reversible and it comes with a cross body. Everything here was pretty and sales associate told me it's made in Hawaii. It was 5 mins before they close but she was very nice and attentive to my needs. I had a good experience here. Will come back for more for myself.

This review is based solely on my experience with the staff during my visit today…read more I've shopped at Pink Box multiple times in the past and have never had any issues, which is why this experience was disappointing. My mom and I stopped in because she was looking for earrings. She had mentioned before that Pink Box has cute selections at reasonable prices, so we decided to browse. While she was looking at earrings and pointing out styles she liked, I was helping her look through them. For context, I don't even wear earrings since I have large gauges, so I wasn't shopping for myself in that section. Afterward, I moved over to the claw clips and was looking through some butterfly clips to see if they came in matching colors. A sales associate approached us and asked if we needed help. We politely said no thank you and continued browsing. What made us uncomfortable was that after that interaction, the employee remained very close to us and appeared to be watching us the entire time. When we moved to a different area, she followed. Whether intentional or not, it felt as though we were being monitored because she suspected we might steal something. My mom and I both noticed it, and it made the shopping experience uncomfortable. We are paying customers who have visited this store before and have never given anyone a reason to be suspicious of us. I understand that retail employees have a job to do, but there is a difference between being attentive and making customers feel like they're under surveillance. Unfortunately, because of that experience, we didn't feel welcome during our visit.

The whole store is made up of Hawaiian themed merchandise. There were jewelry, cards, body care items and tons of clothes. They have some really cute items. I went in and out of the dressing rooms a few times while trying on outfits, and none of them had a basket or spot for purses. Each time I had to hang my handbag on a hanger with the clothes, since I refuse to put my handbag on the dirty ground. Finally, the very last dressing room I tried did have a basket at the bottom, which was much better. The clothing and jewelry are adorable -- some even look handmade -- and I did buy a few outfits and a cute pair of earrings. Prices are on the higher side, but the pieces are unique and eye-catching, so if you're looking for something different, it might be worth it. Unfortunately, checkout brought the experience down. Since I didn't need a bag, the sales associate handed me my clothes directly, but forgot my earrings. I didn't notice until I was halfway home. I tried looking everywhere for a phone number -- Yelp, the Ala Moana directory, the internet -- and couldn't find one. The only number I found just rang with no answer. So instead of calling, I had no choice but to drive all the way back through traffic. When I arrived, the sales associate saw me, handed me the earring, and said she was "going to text me." No apology, no "sorry for the inconvenience" -- nothing. Considering they have my number from the rewards program sign-up, that was disappointing. Overall, Sugar Sugar is a cute boutique with stylish pieces, but expect boutique pricing and limited dressing room amenities. The service could use improvement, especially when mistakes happen.

Definitely worth a stop if you're into kawaii, Japanese goodies and stationery, but also could be worth being aware of which characters are currently featured. A lot of the items, such as their various stickers, are reasonably and fairly priced -- more so than other similar shops. Vivid print quality too. Other items were tad too pricey for me to justify (e.g. $8 for a very tiny thin canvas drawstring bag and other small pouches in the $30+ range).

Shopping in Chinatown, Honolulu, Hawaii…read more.. My mom was on the hunt for Year of the Dragon shirts for my sister in Colorado, my nephew, and my nieces. We went to Walmart, Don Quijote, Dillingham Shirt Outlet, and Maunakea Street in Chinatown. She found shirts at Jessica's Jewelryand Gifts, but she didn't get a shirt for my nephew's girlfriend. In a panic, mom called me to go back to Jessica's. They were sold out. Only XL gray shirts were left. I entered Maunakea Marketplace, where I had dropped her off the other day, but she didn't walk far enough in... to get to YaFangShi Fashion. On the day before Lunar New Year, I saw many shirts of various colors and different designs hanging outside a shop! Inside, the clothes were neatly folded, and the dresses were hanging for better viewing. OMG... It was like t-shirt heaven! The shop was called YaFangShi Fashion. The friendly owner introduced herself and said that her name was Lian and that she's been here for 24 years! I had passed by often... and even bought a lavender-colored Cony umbrella, but didn't know the name of the shop. Looking around, Lian even had dresses, tops, jackets, footwear, accessories, and pants! I got a navy blue, medium-sized Year of the Dragon shirt for my nephew's girlfriend and gave it to mom to give to her on Lunar New Year. Everyone was happy! Yay! Happy Lunar New Year of the Wood Dragon!
