So we came by this restaurant by chance as we intially wanted to go to Seoulju but want to skip the long line there. Together restaurant is a hole in the wall type of place. It's tucked away on a side of a strip mall businesses. The menu has a lot of options and they look imo more authentic than the fusion options I usually see in Austin. We ordered the fried chicken (soy sauce and spicy), the ladies were sweet enough to allow us do half and half because they dont have it on the menu! We also ordered a kimchi cold noodles. Both of the dishes were very flavorful. Chicken were crispy and saucy - my favorite way. The noodles are cold and perfectly chewy with this sweet and lightly spicy sauce, not unlike the flavor of sauce typically eaten with bibimbap. It's a refreshing counterbalance for the fried chicken. Together Restaurant is a great place to go to for late night snacks, Korean pub food, and drinks. Compared to other Korean-pub style restaurants in Austin, I thought that the portion to price ratio was noticeably better. For the same price, our group was able to feed a lot more people with less dishes! We got the army stew, bulgogi hot pot, cheese buldak, bossam, and sundae bokeum (Korean sausage). They were all extremely delicious and I was pleasantly surprised to find a spot with good Korean bar food! The service could improve since the lady who manages the hall seems to be more comfortable with Korean and doesn't greet the guests very well. This place is amazing! It's open late as well, which is great because my friends and I go every after we play tennis. We've come here at least once a week for the past 3 months or so, and order the same thing every time, and are never disappointed. With the recent ownership change, this place is SIGNIFICANTLY better when compared to it 2018-2020 iteration. TLDR: service can be slow at busy times, but overall flavor and cost for the great atmosphere and friendly personnel is too good to pass up. Also open late! The owners here are also so kind and accomodating - the place gets very busy Friday and Saturday night though, so call ahead to reserve a table, as the restaurant is small on the inside. The side dishes are always top tier and homemade (they have to be, with how flavorful and fresh they are). Our favorite dishes are: Pa-dak (green onion fried chicken with vinegar (peppers too)) Gopchang jangul (idk how to spell in English, but basically offal stew) Fried squid Pork belly (boiled) Short rib veggie stew HONEY MAKKEOLI - one of the best drinks I've had in Austin, homemade, sweet, tangy, and chilled!! The two woman team that presumably own/run this restaurant were awesome. My friends and I had a lot of fun exploring the menu with what I can tell seems to be pretty authentic Korean pub food, and their service was really friendly. I had the pork bulgogi and was really impressed with the flavor. The meat was perfectly cooked and the sauce had just the right amount of heat. Portions were good as well. Across the table we had a decent sample of the menu (dumpling soup, Kimchi Jigae, etc.) and everyone had good things to say about it! Only nit I'd have is that the entrees aren't cheap. Been going to this late night restaurant/pub for a while and would highly recommend for anyone that wants amazing authentic korean food with their drinks. A must go location if you want delicious food and drinks with an amazing vibe. I love and recommend their tteokbokki. it has a spicy/sweet flavor and a crunchy texture that goes amazingly with rice. My son got the chicken ...fried chicken? The picture showed boneless fried ....it was super fried and had bones. So my son didn't eat much. Kimchi pancake is the best in Austin!!! The Budae jjigae was also good. Most expensive soup I've ever gotten. Not the biggest fan of ramen in my Budae jjigae but beggars can't be choosers. Korean Pub with delicious food! I love the vibe in this place, compact and low lighting with KPOP music. Price is considerably higher than other Korean restaurants in the area, but it is very good though. LA Galbi was delicious but only got 6 pieces for ~$19. Budae jjigae was ~$36, other restaurants you can find for $30 or less. 10 piece yangneum chicken for $17. But all food was delicious though!!! Just wish the prices were a little more reasonable for a pub style restaurant. Their online menu prices is NOT ACCURATE and up to date on some items. I love that they are open till 2am everyday, and no days closed. Can always count on them for a late night snack. read more

Together is a great hole in the wall type of place nestled away in a corner of a plaza. They offer a variety of Korean dishes that pair well with late night drinking. I enjoy Together because it's open fairly late, the service has always been friendly, and most importantly: they make the best Kimchi jjigae in town!! Even though I'm a repeat offender for ordering the same thing every time, there are other dishes here that are enjoyable as well. I recommend buddae jjigae, buldak, cheesey corn (it's glorious) bibimbap, soondubu, beef/pork bulgogi or even one of the combos that are accompanied with a pitcher of beer! I discovered this place a little under a year ago right as the new owners took over, and it's been an amazing experience every single time. I visited Korea in 2019 and something a miss a ton is that late night place where no matter what you know you can go to for good food, which is impossible to find in America. Happy Pocha offers just that. It's great to go to after a late shift and still be able to get a delicious meal without worrying about them closing. The food is amazing and is a great taste of Korea. I went here with my girlfriend as it was rather late and there wasn't many restaurants open after midnight. Now being an introverted nightowl I can get rather nervous at most venues, but this place was wonderful. The atmosphere was very calm and there wasnt a whole lot to overload the senses. I came here with a large group and I'm glad we ended up choosing this place! Upon walking in, it seemed a little cramped, but once they rearranged the tables to accommodate the group, it felt okay. It's located in a small strip mall, so it might be a little hard to locate, especially at night. After browsing the menu, I felt like it was focused more towards family style meals. There were many selections that ranged from $30-$50. A few people from my group ordered Korean bbq, but I opted to share an order of spicy rice cake with my friend. The portion was pretty big, so I guess it was okay since it was $14. The rice cakes were perfectly chewy, with just the perfect amount of spice. What stood out to me the most were the side dishes they gave us before we started ordering. It was a good variety, and my section of the table ended up asking for refills multiple times. As for the service, I have to admit that it was spotty. They forgot things a few times, but I could tell they were trying their best though. Korean food is a recent discovery for me. I have had the common items like bulgogi and kimchi but was recently introduced to Korean BBQ at Together Restaurant. Like the other reviews note this is not a place to go for a swank atmosphere. It is however a great place to gather with friends to experience Korean BBQ and throw back some soju. Both visits our portion of the bill (everything was ordered for the whole table) was around $30 plus tip. Considering we were there for about 3 hours, left with full bellies and had plenty of soju this was very reasonable. The two times I have dined here I went with a friend that loves Together and speaks Korean. This was good for a few reasons, the menu is in Korean, this is new to me so I wouldn't have a clue what to order and going with someone that understands the customs adds to the experience. A menu with English translation is in the works. If you order meat that requires grilling they place a grill at the center of the table and you cook your own meat table side. Often it would be served with rice but my savvy friend orders sans rice so we can save room for more meat and other dishes. I have had the pork belly (samgyupsal gui), beef ribs (kalbi gui) and baby octopus (jjukkumi gui) on the grill. I liked all three but the big hit seems to be the samgyupsal. The beef ribs are very tender and rich. The quality of both the beef and pork is pretty good and reasonably priced. My favorite however was probably the jjukkumi gui because it looks like it's break dancing on the grill and is on the lighter side. While waiting for the meat to cook try the wonderful variety of banchan placed about the table. I'm a fan of the cucumbers, kimchi and potatoes. Other dishes we shared here are the tang soo yook (fried meat in sweet and sour sauce), sundae (blood sausage), kimchi pancake and kimchi soup with udon and dumplings. I love all the fresh veggies that are sliced up and still crisp in the sundae and chicken dishes. The sundae has a nice flavor and the sweet potato noodles were a nice compliment to the dish. I could eat the spicy kimchi soup with those plump dumplings and udon noodles every day. The savory pancake with dipping sauce is a must. This is the type of dining experience where you go with a good group of people to relax for several hours while eating savory foods and drink lots of soju. They are open late making it a good spot to eat after a night out. read more

I have been to this restaurant over past 7~8 years and it's been a true love-hate relationship. Love, because I have known the owners for so long, giving them businesses and hard times at the same time, they treat me like a son that they wish they never had. Love, because when I was either hungry or lonely, sometimes both, "Together" was always there for me to cheer me on. Love, because they open late to always satiate my Korean cravings. Hate, because it was always messing up with my diet which forced me to "restart tomorrow". Hate, because I still have memories with my exes in that restaurant. Hate, because they named their restaurant "Together" and I make stupid puns with that name... Such as "hey guys, let's go to Together, together". So, now they are under a new management whom I happened to know for over a decade in ATX from restaurant managing. They were the opening members of "Arirang" and they also used to own "Little Tokyo" which have been my go-to hangout in my 20s. Long story short (it's already too long!!), this place is the best "Late night Korean drinking place" in town. They open everyday from 6pm to 2am (tentative), except they close on Tuesdays. Great food, great exotic Korean drinks such as Soju, Bokboonja etc, and on top of that, great service for a change. I went to this place four times last week and I am a very happy man. read more

I never heard of this restaurant. One of my Korean friend organized a dinner party there. They told us that for whole Jun they offer free beer. So we drank a lot of beer that night. Food is OK. I have been to other Korean restaurant. This one is not the best, especially their octopus doesn't taste that good. We ordered so many meat grill dishes. In the end, I only like their seafood soup with tofu in it. It's very tasty and the tofu is very soft too. Been here twice and so far, i really like this place. It's not fancy at all - interior feels like you are not even in America. Very korean :) Banchan is all good, the mackarel is insanely awesome! 31/100 Yelp 2017 Review Challenge Shoutout to Together Restaurant for satisfying craving for Korean food when I was in Texas. And also for being one of the few places that was open at midnight. At first I didn't really have high expectations for it, just because we were in Texas, but when I walked in I was very comforted to see a large party of Koreans who were there as a company for SXSW. The kimchi and banchan were alright but I ordered the the oo-guh galbi tang (spicy beef short rib soup with cabbage) and I was so impressed. Wow. So bomb and it reminded me of the one my grandma used to make so I I felt so much comfort in every bite. I love that they put a lot of cabbage but I wish there was a little bit more galbi. I only had 2 small pieces of it. Overall, pretty good. Good to know there are places in Texas for Korean food! read more

The food was not great, but not bad either but I am giving this restaurant one star because of the service. She was very rude to my friends and I and we had to keep flagging her down even to get our waters refilled( multiple times), she also made us feel bad when we asked her to refill the side dishes even though most Korean restaurant have a free-refill policy on banchan. Then after we left she ran after us , changed the tip on the receipt to reflect what she wanted us to tip her then proceeded to force us to tip a higher amount. She did not let us go and kept pestering us to give her a 28% then proceeded to use manipulation and coercion to tip her the higher amount even when the service was not good. read more
