I've tried a number of salons in Napa when visiting and Happy Nails has provided the best service and best price by a long shot. Getting a same day appointment on a weekend was no problem, my nail tech was super pleasant and sweet, and my nails look polished and professional. I came in with gel on my nails which was removed for no additional fee. My nail tech was very efficient (I was in and out in just under an hour) and competent - she shaped my nails perfectly so that they were uniform in shape and size. I give 4 stars for how my nails turned out, but that's about it. They look amazing, no bubbles, and edges are covered. The shop does not wrap their pedicure bowls, but I did see that they "scrubbed" the tub with a sponge. They also do not individually wrap their utensils....The one $ is definitely deceiving as a gel mani and regular pedi was $55... which is a huge jump from what I pay in San Francisco (which could be 40-43$). Maybe Napa's prices are just up there, but who knows... if i was feeling extra and in the area, and definitely needed my nails done... I will come back for sure. read more

Nail Salons opened today and as someone who suffers from ingrown toenails, I couldn't get in fast enough. I called Happy Nails this morning and they made me an appointment for the afternoon. When I arrived I was asked to pick out a color and put on hand sanitizer. After I did that, they immediately seated me in the chair. Each massage chair has been separated by a partition and each nail technician wears a mask. My nails were cut, filed and polished first and then while waiting for the polish to dry, she did the massage. By the time she was done, my nails were dry and I was free to go. Though Yelp stayed they take credit cards, the don't. There was a language barrier so I am not sure of the reason but they let me leave to go get cash. They have bags in bowls to prevent cross contamination, I am not sure if or how they clean their tools but they looked super organized into kits so my guess is they do. read more

I have been going to Happy Nails for several years to have a manicure and pedicure done by Linh. In January I had scheduled an appointment with Linh for a mani pedi and Linh was very sick, coughing and sneezing and at work since I did NOT want to be infected I left. Yesterday, I had scheduled an appointment with Linh and I was told over the phone "if I am too scared to come in then stay at home" when I asked questions do they wear mask and have dividers for customers. I went in today for an appointment with Linh only to be told by Linh she was not feeling well and the appointment was cancelled!! Going to work sick in a nail salon during the corona virus pandemic is absurd!! This nail salon does not take your temperature or has 6 feet distance if you have a pedicure. I feel the Napa County Health Dept should shut down this salon Zero Stars stay away! read more

Since Yelp was responsible for sending me here, I felt it my responsibility to save future customers by giving them the lowest score and knocking down some of those stars. I went here recently because I badly needed a manicure and it was impossible to find parking near Napa Nails. No problem, I yelped the next best thing and found Happy Nails. I needed a shellac French manicure. The woman who worked on me had to get instructions on how to do it throughout the whole thing. When she started, she proceeded to cut the first finger (pinky) she worked on. By the time she got to my thumb, my pinkie was still bleeding. I said out loud, "can you do something about the bleeding?" She argued with me that it already stopped. Bryan, the manager (?) talked to her and she grudgingly looked for the drop for my finger. As she was applying it to my pinkie, she kept muttering that the bleeding is already stopped (it hasn't). After a torturous hour where she did not talk to me once, she finished. When I looked at my fingers, I saw that several of the fingers had smudges of the white paint on their tips. She told me to wash my hands. When I got back I showed them that that did not help. She said, it's fine. It's fine. Again, in exasperation, I asked Bryan if he can help get the smudges off. He said that the woman should be able to. She then tried to rub them off the skin with a paper towel. I told her that I think she put the shellac on top of the white smudges on my skin and that's why it's not coming off. She then took one of the cuticle clipper and was going to clip the skin where the smudge was on. I pulled away in horror and said, No, please no, no way. It was one of the worse experiences I've had anywhere! They charged the same as Napa Nails for my service, but they did not give me water, talk to me, or give my hand any massage. AND I went out to a nice dinner later with a bleeding pinky and smudges on white paint on my finger tips. They were VERY "Unhappy Nails." The regulars here should check other nail salons to see how much they are getting screwed on service. Worse of all, while I was there, Bryan received a call from a customer who was scheduling appointments. After hanging up, he started talking negatively about her. I hope that customer is not one of these rave reviews. read more

I've been going to Happy Nails for 3 years. I ALWAYS ask for Hannah for a pedicure, and i'm NEVER dissapointed. She gives amazing leg massages after the spa pedi. A sweet lady, everyone there is really nice, friendly, and if you go more than once, they welcome you by name. They seem to update their polish often. This last time, it was hard to choose, they had so many new colors! The salon added new pedi chairs a little while back, they are wonderful! And even with this expense, the pedi is STILL $20. Easy location/parking Nail technician knows her shit - noticed some cool nail art, too The massage is more of a 'lotioning' but really nice regardless and a good 10 minutes!! The cons: Not as clean as my taste likes (I'm not trying to be a princess here, they have those pedicure chairs and they dont put plastic in it, they use the same nail files, etc..) I think everyone gets acrylic nails here and you may get high during your appointment from it. Too hot to open the door. Polish and shop is a little disorganized and cluttery the way it's set up. i would recommend and plan to go back. read more

I walked in at about 1:15 and the place was packed, I was told they had time at 3 if I wanted to come back, I put my name down and returned. I came in for an acrylic set of nails with a gel polish on top. I am really picky about the length and like them basically as short as they can be. I've never been happy with my nails at other places, then I met my nail goddess Linh!! She could not have done a more perfect job on my nails. It was $40 which is average, so I was pleased with that too. I'm actually excited to come back and get them filled! Probably going to try a pedicure when I do because these two ladies I met in there were raving about how fantastic the pedicures are!! My only thing, don't judge a book by its cover. The outside isn't the best, but boy do they know how to be friendly, warm and make your nails look GREAT!! read more

Overall really great experience. Took me right when I walked in. The person who did my nails was really professional and made sure that everything with my nails was perfection. Even got a pretty long foot massage which was extremely needed. The gel sample color matched exactly what came out on my nails.. Which is the first time ever. The only bad thing I can say is the sanitary aspect. They only clean the pedicure tubs with soap.. And hardly scrub it. Also the foot scrubber they reuse! I think next time I will stick with my nails getting done, the metal tools seem to be sterilized. read more
