Came in for a pedicure today. I was very unsatisfied with my nail tech, was the younger Asian male !!! not sure what his name was! I asked him to not cut my nails short, he cut them very short he did a half ass massage he didn't even scrub my feet still have dry skin all over the bottom of my feet as well as near my big toe area! I had such a great experience last time with one of the girls that I was like hell yea great price she actually put effort & my experience last time was so relaxing great! I was expecting to get the same care today but didn't! I got the exact same thing I got last time white gel on my toes that's it I was charged $45 last time. I had existing acrylic only on my big toes that usually just have filled not shaved all the way down exact same as last time today he had the nerve to charged me $60 doesn't make any sense to me especially when I paid $45 with a well deserved tip last time. The girls are lovely there but he seemed to not care in doing the proper nail care an taking care of me hella awkward an just gives you weird uncomfortable vibes. Super awkward!!!! I don't think I will be returning here an for anyone who gets that guy I recommend you wait until one of the girls are available if you want good work done on your feet for a good price! And prices are listed there as well, I think it's odd how my fee was double today, for the same exact SAME work that was done last time! I've been going to this nail salon for years. I guess it's been a year or more since they started charging an additional $1.50 if you pay by credit or debit card. This is highly inconvenient if you're not carrying enough cash to cover the cost of your treatment, tip, and this additional charge. Further, this fee, which has been around for decades, is a cost of doing business that the establishment should cover as..... a cost of having a business! To put the responsibility of this charge on your clients is not right. I'm curious how much they actually pay per CC transaction. If it's more, then this is even worse. I no longer go to this salon for this reason. Self-care shouldn't come with added fees. read more

I have been going to Orchid for a long time...since they first opened. The service, look of the salon, and cleanliness has gone way downhill.. I like Candy, who I see regularly, but the last few times have been bad. I've had t ask them not to "operate on my feet" - two different appointments, the person has been really aggressive, making my foot bleed. This time, I called and asked if Candy was available at 1 p.m. they said she was. When I got there, she wasn't available and they gave me somebody else. My toenails are SO CROOKED, they're at an angle. She didn't finish off the top edge on two of my toes and was sending me out the door. When I questioned it, she got up and walked away and cleaned up. Didn't talk to me, just got up and went to clean her things. I had a gift certificate, but since I'm not returning, I handed it to them and left. There's NO WAY. I will return. I'd pay double what they charge to have somebody not make me bleed and who can create a straight line with my toenails. read more

I Googled this place when I was going out of town (I'm from Chicago) and my appointment for a mani/pedi fell through. I realize that the 'assembly line' format is different from the luxury spa atmosphere. I was staying in Napa and I wanted to know where a salon could be in a 2-5 mile radius from the hotel. I realize that with this format, it's not a 'call and take names reservation' deal, since their command of English is limited. I'm sure they have their share of 'regulars'. I arrived when they opened, at 9 (actually 9:15) and asked for a gel polish and pedicure. As Vanny G pointed out, I was not offered a beverage either! It was cool out but the door was propped open; I had to ask them to close it. I will say they were 'efficient': While my pedicure was being done, a guy propped a pillow on my lap, placed a tray on it and started my manicure! I admit I was worried about being there for 1.5 hours, since it would take ONE person a while to do both procedures. ('do you want fast or do you want it good?', as the saying goes). My fingernails and feet looked good but were sore! I realize sloughing and hacking off dead skin is part of the process, not painless, but he was using his fingernail to scrape excess polish of the sides! Ouch..I could barely wash my hands for 3 days, from the sores, and I'm not a delicate person! And COULD they clean out the laser light nail drying tray?? It looked dusty and gross. Maybe they think the laser sanitizes it, but still..It was not the worst or the BEST mani/pedi I had. Although they have credit card stickers on the counter, they ask for Venmo as payment. I'm 'old school' so I was taken aback, and at least they have WiFi but I don't think it worked (too hard to read the password!). read more

This place has gone so down hill. The last couple times I went they messed up my nails. So I gave them one last shot and the lady that did my nails was the worst! I had cuts on my hands from her filing my nails because she was filing my skin! And her taking my nails off hurt so bad! She just kept going even when I said it was hurting. Well, I came here in hope of a GOOD salon. I came with my best friend, she got a pedi, I did a dip mani and pedi. Someone cane in with a broken nail and my girl kept bouncing between us so she missed a lot of details. She didnt file my dip down enough after dipping 4 times, so now I have nails thicker then if I had acrylics. She didnt properly manicure my cuticles, and put the gel polish over my cuticles so the grow out is terrible! The picture is now, after 1.5 weeks. Everything looks uneven. There was no wow factor in my mani. For my pedi, she never asked what kind I wanted (I always upgrade and pay more), it was half fast, and the massage was about 1.5 minutes with the stones. My friend and I were never asked about designs, and when the girl was done she just said "ok done" and walked away. Uhhh ok? The guy doing my friends toes kept checking his phone. Waste of money here. Going to a different salon to fix this. Also, tools were pulled out of a box of USED tools. She told me they were clean, but after she filed my nails, tools went back into the little box for the next person. Don't risk it. Go somewhere else. read more

I thought I had written a review for this place... But clearly I hadn't, so here it is!! I've been coming to Orchid for a while now, probably since a little after they opened, and they NEVER disappoint. (I believe they changed management and/or ownership sometime last year, but that hasn't changed the great service they provide.) I think I've received a service from each one of their nail techs at least once, and let me say each one of them do a fabulous job! (I will say I do have my personal favorites though.) They are all very friendly and pay attention to detail. Some may say their prices are a little high, but honestly you get what you pay for. (Trust me, I know... I've "cheated" on them before and regret it every time!) So yea, you may pay a little more than other places, but you will leave with great nails! They do get packed, which is understandable, so making an appointment is probably a good idea. When they are not super busy though, they will always gladly take walk-ins. My go-to services are always a classic gel mani and pedi. I have pictures from my very first service (mani & pedi) back in March 2019 and my most recent one today (mani), so you can see they provide quality work then and now. read more

I went to this salon to get gel nails and was giving this one guy to do it He was very rough with my cuticles which I thought was normal until he was actually hurting my middle finger and then out of nowhere he cut my finger which I didn't notice until he asked me to get up walk across the store and rinse my hands which is when I noticed I was bleeding then I came back and he kept going at that one cuticle in the same spot he cut me he then did the gel and it looks ok so overall I would not recommend this place to someone looking for a safe and relaxing environment. read more

First of, they were slow which is good because of covid not alot of people in the salon ( i went in the morning) They did have hand sanitizer before entering and they have added plastic barriers on each station! I came here to get my nails done for my wedding. I did not have a positive experience. I showed the technician a picture of exactly what I wanted, and he said it was not a problem. Fast forward to it being done, and lo and behold, it had NO glitter as previously agreed upon. When I asked him if it was possible to add some on, he had such a bad attitude. I don't speak Vietnamese, but I could tell he was badmouthing me - I picked out the words "glitter" and "picture" and I could tell he was talking about me. He stomped off to the back of the salon and was ranting with a coworker. He added glitter, but the colors he had picked that he had assured me would look like the picture I showed him were also off. Was not an issue, I'm actually a pretty easy going person. The rudeness I encountered was just shocking. DO NOT go here unless you want the people there to ridicule and mock you in a different language. Every time I have walked in everyone is either sleeping or so stuck on their phone that it seems like they get mad to get customers. After a few visits I kept getting passed off to the make techs who could not do designs and she seemed to be annoyed to complete what they could not do. I love this little place. I have been going here for a while now for pedicures, but I have started going and getting gel manicures. My last gel manicure lasted four weeks. I'm totally surprised at the high rating. I called before I came and they made it seem like they weren't busy. I got there and had to wait, they finally got a chair ready. I sat in the chair for about 10 minutes before someone came to do my feet. The lady next to me sat there for over 20 minutes after waiting a while to get a seat. The lady who did my feet didn't clean under my nails, she brought the hot rocks out only to touch the soles of my feet with them and then put them down. She also did NOT put on a base coat, nor a top coat. I enjoyed both services. I really went for the pedi, I was 38 weeks pregnant and my feet been looking rough, the young man took his time to get them in a much better shape !
