Highly recommend the Spa pedicure. It was divine. Mindy did my nails and they are beautiful. I did get a couple of cuts from the emery board but not too bad. The pedicure tools were from a sealed package. The place is pretty clean for how many seats there are. Some light bulbs were burnt out or flashing and I noticed one cobweb. My best friend and I went in yesterday afternoon. I needed to get my nails done for my engagement photos and my best friend came to just hang out. I sat in a pedicure chair for about 15 minutes and no one came to talk to me or anything. A couple came up to us and asked us how long we had been waiting for and the couple asked one of the girls if it was gonna be a long wait otherwise they were gonna leave. One of the girls said that it wouldn't be long at all. Only AFTER did the couple ask the question they had finally gotten started on my pedicure. The woman doing my toes began pressuring me into getting a more expensive pedicure to which I said no to three times. Then when I had to pick my color she told me the color was gone, so picked another and she said that one is also gone but brought another that she said was similar but it definitely was not. Then when it came to my gel fill the woman doing them was not paying attention and shaped my nails all different lengths! I asked her for my nail color to match my toes nail color and she said "it's all gone".... I'm sorry what?! So I had to pick another color again. I picked a color and it took 5 people to help her look for it and they were laughing and looking back at us continuing to laugh. Then she just said "it's too bright of a pink" and started putting on a pink base color..... I finally was just over the whole 2 hour experience and said "Ok" When I finally got to checkout I was pretty upset. I never honestly worry about what my nails look like but these are for my engagement photos and are meant to be special and very detailed for memories. I said something about my nails and she said it's because my nails were round. I knew but I never had an issue with my nails being round at other nails places. This was my first time at Happy Nails and I'll admit I was a little nervous after reading some reviews. My partner got me a gift certificate for the holidays after a recommendation from a coworker, though, and I prefer to support Vietnamese places so I wanted to give them a try--and I am SO HAPPY I DID! Originally I'd made an appointment for a pedicure but upon walking in saw they do Gel-X so asked if I could switch and they were happy to do so. My nail tech, Brandon, was young and the absolute sweetest. I'm not someone who gets their nails done regularly so I wasn't aware that for the Gel-X they don't do traditional manicure-style cuticle care and instead use the dremel, which for me is a huge sensory/pain issue. After explaining this to Brandon he was very quick to accommodate--after confirming I was okay paying a little extra for the tools used proceeded to do my cuticles as requested. Furthermore, he would check in regularly about pressure when using the dremel tool and asked before using it close to the cuticle line which I deeply appreciate. Brandon also made sure to double check about the color I chose to ensure it was the correct one, and was incredibly precise in his work throughout the entire appointment--excellent attention to detail and very precise in his work! Overall, Happy Nails really lives up to its name--the atmosphere was mellow and friendly, and I am happy making this my go-to place! I want to be clear that I fully respect that not everyone speaks English, but in this case, the communication gap created multiple issues that could have been avoided. Before starting, I asked two staff members who spoke English to let my technician know that I did not want lotion used--only exfoliator--since I had a spray tan scheduled. They acknowledged and understood, but when the time came, lotion was still applied. What was frustrating was that those same employees noticed and didn't step in to clarify. I also asked for a thin French tip design on my toes. I tried to politely explain my preference, but it felt dismissed, and I was made uncomfortable by nearby staff reacting and snickering. I ended up not speaking up further because I felt embarrassed. The most serious issue was with an ingrown nail. I asked for help with it, and after some confusion, the technician began cutting but instead of addressing the nail, she cut into my skin. It caused significant bleeding and intense pain. I asked her to stop because it was unbearable, but there was no acknowledgment or apology, and the service continued as if nothing happened. I left in a lot of pain, and now my toe is still throbbing to the point where it's difficult to walk. If I have a nail or nails chip they will fix them no charge and all of their staff are always so kind and friendly. I will say if you are in a hurry and walk in and see that they are busy then you may need to wait a bit but they get you seated and prepped right away. Shellac manicures are hit or miss here! One time my mani barely lasted a week without the polish lifting/peeling. Most recently it lasted for almost 2 weeks without lifting. Shellac pedicure lasted for 2ish months! The vibe of the place is nice and modern and huge. About 3-4x the size of your average nail salon. It's built with a bar at the back but like others have said they've never actually offered drinks when I've been in, not that I actually wanted any - just seems like the bar is there for aesthetic versus actual use. I'll probably be back...only until I can find a local nail salon that has shellac manis that lasts 1 week minimum without peeling. read more

Came here to get my nails done before my cruise and we must have come just an hour before closing because they put two people to work with me and two work on my sister. The service wasn't very sophisticated, but they were all about getting things done, and that's not a bad thing. When you get a mani-pedi you get pampered with a lot of rubbing and massaging and that's what I'm all about. Love the massage chairs too that do their work as the manicurists do theirs. We even did the parrafin wax treatment so we had a lot of heat and it was luxurious. The only thing missing was we weren't offered any drinks to offer, but again I think it was because they wanted to get everything done before closing time.
